He was was friendly, honest and I could trust him. It took me a couple of months to finalize and he communicated promptly throughout and never pressured me and was patient with my many questions. Waste of time-they will sell vehicle out from under you! Drove over an hour to test drive a vehicle listed on Cargurus. Had been talking with Daniel who was expecting me. When I arrived I was the only customer there and Daniel was on phone, waited for over 10 minutes for him to finish conversation. While test driving the vehicle he stated that when the vehicle was traded in the technicians went over it thoroughly and everything was good. I asked him about a light on the dash and he said "that is the tire pressure sensing unit and I can tell you now we will not be fixing that, it is very expensive". I was okay with that but felt it could have been said with a little more tact. I also noticed an overhead light was out which he said they would fix. Due to the miles I wanted to know if the timing belt had been changed, he said he would email previous owner to find out. We agreed on a price and he was to let me know about the timing belt. This was late Friday; they are closed on Sunday. When I had not heard from him by Monday morning I called to find out about the timing belt and was told the vehicle had been sold!! Really??? While I was waiting for a response?? At the very least he could have called and said I don't have your answer yet but there is someone else interested in vehicle. Very unprofessional!!! More

Figured his team would be a reflection of him, and they are. Johnny Dunbar is my sales person and, as was expected, provided an honest and no pressure process. I am a fairly picky consumer and I had specific requests. They nailed what I was looking for, even though the vehicle was not in their inventory at the time,. On price, I was absolutely confident I was getting the best offer, which is always literally and figuratively the bottom line. There are basic questions car dealers ask, particularly about financing, and there was never any pressure to go with what they could provide. It was always what is best for the customer. Not only were all of my questions answered, there quite a few of them preemptively answered based on the Team taking the time to get to know me. No job is complete until the paper work is done and Greg Cole made that as painless as possible. The integrity the Dealership is known for is quite evident with him also. This will not be the last car I purchase from University Volvo and will with out reservation recommend them to anyone. I like these folks. I drove off the lot with a new car and a new friend in Johnny Dunbar. If this place were a bar or restaurant, I'd want to hang out there regularly. More

On Tuesday, University Volvo responded to my internet inquiry and they offered to help me by email instead of stonewalling me until I answered their phone calls. I work from home and find myself on calls throughout the day, so it is much easier for me to multitask on calls and answer car sales inquiries by email, instead of having to put off a business call while debating whether I want a T5 or T6 and whether I want an Inscription or Momentum. They ultimately offered me an amazing deal on a T6 Inscription and I also took Volvo up on its Pull Ahead offer, while offering me a dealership that was close enough to my house after I decided that I might have to travel out of town to get the best deal. A great deal of praise should go to Daniel Lechner. His initial offer was pretty solid, but when I noted to him that I would likely be pursuing another offer, he asked what it would take me to go with University Volvo (and not in an ultra-aggressive, sleazy way). Instead, he made me feel like I mattered, like University Volvo wanted me to be their customer. He listened to me. Others were just throwing out cars that matched nothing that I wanted or they wanted me to get a car that was kind of the car I wanted but not a perfect fit. Daniel made sure that it was about me, and recognizing that I was considering an offer from a competing dealership, he did his best to pull out all of the stops. I wound up selecting University Volvo and I'm glad that I did. When I arrived at University Volvo, I was greeted by a great staff and Daniel had the car ready for a test drive. After we got back, I decided right then and there to sign on the dotted line. After filling out the application, another highlight was working with Greg Cole, who helped me get all of the paperwork signed and really talked me through the process. I was honest with him about why we came to Volvo (bad experience with a local dealer that owns dealerships for several brands) and what coming to Volvo meant to my wife and I. I also stressed that it felt like Volvo viewed this as a long-term relationship instead of a one-time sale. In the end and basically once I decided, I realized that I made the right choice. We also talked about a timeline for my next purchase/lease in October when my wife's lease rolls off. After wrapping up the paperwork, Daniel took me on the tour of the car and showed me how to operate some of the bells and whistles (learning all of them would take way too long, although he was more than willing to do so). I drove home in comfort and style, and I think my wife is already eyeing my car. We're happy with our purchase and we're thankful that we were able to deal with an amazing team. Daniel is a model for how someone should handle internet sales interactions in this day and age. There was no pressure and a genuineness that others just haven't had in the process. He also never made me feel like I had to beg for a fair price. Instead, he offered me an amazing offer for an amazing car and were willing to consider input from me on the deal in an effort to get the sale done. More
