You will regret it every month that you bought a car from here, the service is THAT bad. I do not see how they stay in business with the way they treat customers. here, the service is THAT bad. I do not see how they stay in business with the way they treat customers. More
Very difficult to schedule a vehicle service appointment. The best I could find on line was 7 days and when I call, it has been 10-14 days. It's much easier to get a Dr. appointment. Took 2010 Accent with damaged tire/rim, covered under warranty in for repairs. They also own the neighboring Nissan dealership. A pushy salesman tried to sell us on the idea that buying an older model warranty in for repairs. They also own the neighboring Nissan dealership. A pushy salesman tried to sell us on the idea that buying an older model Nissan would be better than replacing the tire/rim. Took 2 hours to get keys back, and by the time got the keys the service bay had closed. Would not provide loaner or any assistance with getting repairs done. Asked to speak to manager, who said that it was appropriate for his salesman to try to get people to buy another car rather than get the old one fixed. But really? Let's trade a 2010 with bumper to bumper and road hazard warranty for 100K miles in on an older model Nissan with higher miles on it and much less warranty? It was a 20 year old female taking the car in for repairs, and obviously they thought they had a sucker on the line. BUYER BEWARE. More
First service performed by Universal Hyundai was excellent. Vehicle's ABS pump was defective and has to be towed to the dealership for warranty repair. I returned to noise emitting from front end. excellent. Vehicle's ABS pump was defective and has to be towed to the dealership for warranty repair. I returned to noise emitting from front end. I was told the vehicle was rusted (2008 Veracruz) and required $500 to replace the strut covers. They also told me the rear brakes needed replacing. I had the rear brakes replaced and immediately upon exiting the lot, I noticed they were squealing. Returned weeks later to the dealer to have the rear brakes inspected and was told the front brakes needed to be replaced. Vehicle only had less than 43,000 miles. Had the front strut covers replaced and noise continued. Brought my Hyundai to another Hyundai dealer and they properly diagnosed the front noise to the upper control arm bushings and front brakes were perfectly fine. Rear brakes needed to be cleaned. Filed a claim with Hyundai Motors and they reimbursed my costs for the strut covers and covered the costs for the bushings. Repeated calls to the Service Mgr and would not return my calls until I mentioned that I would contact the owner of the Universal. Only then was I told Universal has the best mechanics and service writers and perhaps others were wrong. I will travel the extra miles to get my Hyundai serviced at the other Hyundai dealer in Orlando. More
I purchased a Nissan 350Z from this dealership and have since changed to another dealer because this dealer gave me the worst service I have ever received. First, my car came out of alignment and I took since changed to another dealer because this dealer gave me the worst service I have ever received. First, my car came out of alignment and I took it in to get it taken care of. They aligned it to the wrong spec and caused serious tire wear because of this. Second, my car consumes excessive oil. I dealt with this dealer for 9000 miles of consumption tests. During this period all they did was to check the oil and document the loss and top it off. All I kept hearing was that they did not believe me and that oil consumption was normal for cars. Obviously they don't know too much. The worst part is that on more than one occasion they flat out lied about the consumption rate and therefore falsified the documentation. They would record down 1/3 of a quart and it was actually 3/4. Normally they would fill it with more than they reported to make me think they were right. The last time, they screwed up and forgot to fill with 3/4 while reporting 1/3. I checked it the next morning and it was down 1/2 of quart. After this, I decided to change and try to find a trusting dealer. I have written a letter to the owner, which I have heard absolutely nothing back from and I also filed a Better Business Bureau complaint against this dealership. STAY AWAY FROM UNIVERSAL NISSAN/HYUNDAI in Orlando, FL. More
