Me and my wife recently had the misfortune of visiting the Unique Auto Mall dealership in Perth Amboy that we would never recommend to anyone. When discussing the price, I found that they had added a number of new charges that were not disclosed beforehand, i.e. LoJack for $999, certification charge 3000, Dealer fees 799 + Documentation fees 700 (which I understand is standard in NJ). All together, more than 5K over the listed price. Finally, we agreed and signed on a price which was more than the advertised price. During the finance process, the dealer attempted to add a sneaky and unreasonable charge to my loan without properly explaining it beforehand. This left me feeling taken advantage of and frustrated with the overall transaction. He was trying to hide some part of the charges and pushing us to sign the deal. All this drama happened after they ran my credit and the loan was approved. The whole experience was so unpleasant that I decided not to buy a car from them. I left the dealership feeling frustrated and disrespected, and I wouldn't wish that kind of treatment on anyone. This one is definitely not worth your time or money. The customer service at this dealership was non-existent and it was clear that they were only concerned with making a sale. I would never recommend this dealership to anyone and would advise anyone looking to buy a used car to look elsewhere.
