I was contacted by them after I filled out an online application. I was texting with a very nice girl named Michelle and told her everything about my credit challenges, the 2 repossessions that I had, and I am currently working but not making a lot. I also was upfront that I had no money to put down and couldn't even pay taxes and tags. I was assured that they could work with me, so I set up an appointment. I went in the following day and met with a guy named Leo. Nice guy, full of crap, said no problem, we have worked with worse. Well after taking my info, again I told him about my challenges, he said I was going to be ok. He than pulled a Honda Civic around and we went for a test drive, I am thinking the whole time, wow ,I am going to get approved and I was going to get this nice car. 2 minutes after we got back from the test drive, he tells me I need money down, taxes and tags. I know he knew that before we went for the test drive. Why did he even do that ? Needless to say I left , feeling like crap. After I got home, I texted Michelle and she said she would look into it for me and had Leo call and text me. He said I needed to prove more income, which I did, and I needed $1000 in cash and I was going to get approved. It took me a few days and another paycheck but I was able to prove more income and also got the $1000 cash. We set up an appointment for 11 am on 2/15/18. I brought the $1000 down payment and was excited to know that I would be getting a car today. Had my insurance company on hold to get the insurance policy sent to the dealer. I even saw a worksheet with the down payment of $ 1000 and the monthly payment amount. I gave Leo the cash and he took it back and said it should take about 15 minutes. I knew something was up when he didn't even discuss what type of car I was approved for. He got called back to the office and came back and said I needed $3500 down now. They ran my credit again, not sure why they did that, since they did that earlier. Again I did everything they asked of me and they still needed me to do more. I want to know why they do they following: - Why do they advertise they can get anyone financed? - Why do they lie to get you in there? - You asked me to prove more income which I did, you asked me to bring a down payment of $1000 and I did, and I still walked out of there embarrassed and with out a car. Why did you do that ? Management seems to hide in the back and are not seen by the customers, kinda shady , don't you think? Please do your homework, please don't let them lie to you, get your hopes up, when all they really do is kick you in the gut. More

And i will be Driving home today with a car with what had in my pocket So i told her i only had 20 cash and she replied that was ok (ms caribi) her name was I waited 1 hr for service The sales man told me i was approved with with $1,500 down for tax and title and tags I said wow cash only he said then i told him she said that the will work with me so he said $700 and i went to make a call to the lady ms caribi but no answer and came back now he says $2,500 down A bunch of liers dont go there i payed 40 dollas on a cab for nothing believing in her smh More
Things have changed big time here I must admit I was a bit skeptic at first reading these reviews until I got there. The staff works as a team now and I knew I may have some issues because of my credit but they made me feel confident in each step of the process. Ace the manager is such a professional and explained he had cleaned up this lot and it truly shows. We were presented options and man the cars everyone was a couple years old and had about 30,000 to 50,000 miles mint condition compared to some other places we tried. So if you are like me and see the older reviews ignore them and give these guys a try I love our new used car and would recommend all my friends and family to Unique Auto Import and can not wait till we are ready for another car. They say your pre approved only to turn the tables once your there. Very similar to Samantha's review. They said I required a cosigner on first visit & Id be pre approved. Reason for cosigner was to support two car payments which at time made sense. Found cosigner app sent in & again was told its a done deal your approved. After about three hours of waiting on second trip was told needed a huge down payment to get car. This place is truly a scam business tell you one thing just to get you there & turn things around , would keep looking bypassing this place. More

Yes waste of time, get there out in VA from DC to come, well you need a down payment of 1500 2000 next you need a co signer. xxx - tried calling the lasldy back Michelle she is not there today after I spoke with her at 5pm. xxxxxxxxx!!! Now no car and they could not get me back to DC told me to catch cab This cab ride cost me $67.00. Glad I got paid. Scam please dont do business here More

He also tried to bill my credit union for business tax! I have a copy of this Bill of Sale. Unbelievable to have such an immoral and unethical business person operating in 2015. One word - run! Asked to commit Fraud and lied to multiple times We were told we were approved for financing, but after having the bank contact us and have a phone interview, we were told by the dealership that my h We were told we were approved for financing, but after having the bank contact us and have a phone interview, we were told by the dealership that my husband needed to lie and tell the bank that he was re enlisting with the military, when he isn't. We told the dealership from the beginning that is in the military now, but will be getting out next month. When we told the manager that we didn't not feel comfortable lying, he said just say it so the financing could go through. I then called the financing company and they told us that the financing has already been cancelled and sent back to the dealership. So my husband and i called the dealership back to tell them what the finance (bank) company told us and he said no, you are approved and if this doesn't work out, we have plenty of other banks and just tell them that you are re enlisting. He said normally they don't ask that, so he was trying to find a way around it by talking to the bank's managers. When i called the manager of the dealership (john) back, i asked straight up, would we received our initial down payment back because of this, he said yes, i then asked will their be any stipulations to it that i need to know, so i can be prepared just in case because i know we signed a contract, but was fraud. He said no there will be no stipulations occurring on you. I said OK because we want to bring the car back then. I then again asked him, will we get all of our down payment back, and his exact words were yea sure. When we returned the car, they showed us the break down and charged a cancellation fee. He said because you don't want the car this is the fee. I explained the the rep that deals with the paperwork, your dealership was asking us to lie to a financial company with is one unethical and two fraud. This is a huge liability that would leave us in the wrong if agreed to do it and we would committing fraud if we had done that. Now i'm being told from that dealership that it was the bank that was lying to us. Im just complete fed up with the way everything has gone. We missed out on leaving for our vacation for the planned time because we are having to wait 5 day (until Monday) to talk to a general manager. I don't understand how our money can be easily taken, but not done in return that way. I also contacted a manager above the manager on site but below the general manager, and when i told him the situation, he also said he couldn't make that derision, so then he told i will be waiting until Monday to talk to the one person who can make that decision, i said okay, i want to make sure that we are actually able to talk to this person on Monday because now we are having to cancel our vacation leave date. He said yes he will be there, so then i ask for the general manager's name he says Alex, i then asked what is his last name he says K. I said is that K, as in Kay or are you just giving me an initial, he says K, as in KAY why. I said okay, the i proceeded to ask, what is Alex Kay's official title, he then says well you are asking a lot of questions. I was appalled when he said this, i told well sir, we were asked to lie, then told so many different things from different people, so of course i am asking a lot of question because i want real, honest answers. That shocked me that he would even say that. Needless to say, he gave me the title and then we hung up. I am just incredibly upset that this has occurred and it makes me look at this business in a bad light. Though, Langston was very nice and tried to do what he could, and was the one person who actually listened to us and understood, without cutting us off, and giving different answers to the same questions, we still are very uneasy, and totally uncomfortable with doing any deal because of this mishap. We would just like our down payment in full back. I could even understand them only charge for the per day and mileage, but because we have been inconvenience, lied to and asked to lie on our behalf, cut off, stressed us, and caused us to wait more than 24-48 hours to speak to the only person who can make a decision for our situation, we want our entire down payment of $2000 back. My husband worked very hard to provide that and because we were put in a situation that was unethical, we are being punished for doing the right thing and saying no. After all this i recently found out that the dealership ran another credit inquiry after i told John i did not want this done because i didn't want anymore affects done to my check. He told me ohhh no, we won't do anymore inquiries on your credit because we talk directly to the bank lenders. As of yesterday my husband was told well because the paperwork we can't give you all your money back. Also that because of his employees miscommunication, that corporate is not allowing us to refund all the money because they see it as the customer cancelling. This is shocking because we were asked to lie and you want to say because you employees miscommunicated... That is another way of saying ohh its not your fault but you won't get all your money back because of my employees wrong doing...So your are saying your employees are wrong but you don't want to make the customer happy???? He then gave my husband two options. Either take $400, which is 1600 less tan the down payment of $2000 that we provided and have a friend come buy a car and their down payment will go to us, or either buy another car and they will credit a down payment to us. Ummmm no, we DO NOT want to do business when a company which whom their employees ask us to commit FRAUD. And why would we refer someone after how we were treated. This is just unacceptable and if it was the other way around, i seriously doubt they would enjoy or entertain this mess that they have put my husband and i through. This is how our military is taken care of? My husband serves his country and this is the respect he deserves and gets????????? This company commits fraud, lies, to cover up their mistakes, and apparently no one can give us an answer without a general manager. And the worse when the general manager is unavailable, you have to wait...there is no one else they to take care and make decisions when he is on vacation, of leave, or has an emergency More
Please do NOT go here. As the other reviews that are further down attest this is a completely unprofessional location. I worked with Salesman Nate Williams who when we set up an appointment of 07/05/201 further down attest this is a completely unprofessional location. I worked with Salesman Nate Williams who when we set up an appointment of 07/05/2013 on 07/01/2013 he stated the car I was interested in was there. Now 07/05/2013 comes around and I text nate can we meet at 10:30 am and stated yes that would be fine. There was some traffic on I95 south so I got there late at 10:45 and Nate then texts stating that he is about 20 to 30 minutes out. I thought that was understandable due to traffic but then at 11:10 he calls and states that he is not even in the area and will take around another 20 minutes to get there thus making him a FULL hour late. At that point I ask for another salesman to help, who is in a t shirt and jean shorts. At that point he tells me the car I was interested in was sold on 07/03/2013. Now there were at least two opportunities for Nate to let me know that the car I was interested in was sold on 07/03/2013 AND on the morning of 07/05/13 when he was driving in. This had me floored so I said thanks but no thanks and for them to tell Nate to get it together instead of making a customer wait for an hour. At that point hearing my raised voice the manager came out, and I could see where the whole unprofessional atmosphere came from. The man was in a stained red T-shirt, gym shorts, and was wearing sunglasses inside. He didnt remove them when talking to me AND stated that he had the purchase order proving the car was sold before I got there. How does this make a sale? He should of said, "I am sorry sir but this car sold we have these options that are comparable could these work?", Instead he left me outside of the office while it took him a full 5 minutes to find the purchase order. At that point I had already got into my car and left. Completely unprofessional and gross environment DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. More
