Do not buy from this dealership. They owed us a check from our deal. Our salesman (Greyson) replied with many texts saying that the check had been sent for 2 weeks. My wife finally called the dealership and they said the check and registration papers had been sent by USPS the day before that call. 3 days later the check arrived by overnight UPS and we still are waiting on the registration paperwork. So clearly that was more lies about it being sent. This dealership obviously has some major communication problems between its employees and its customers. They also have salesmen that lie to their customers and it makes us wonder what else we were lied to about or they are covering up in their deals. Very shady place and my advice is to shop elsewhere! During the test-drive they identified an issue with the parking brake and assured me it would be fixed before I drove the vehicle a few days later. The brake was not fixed—although I wouldn’t know that immediately. Within minutes of leaving the lot the seatbelt and airbag indicators turned on and dinged for 15 straight mins. It was 6:03pm when they turned on, so I couldn’t reach anyone due to them closing at 6pm. I left a message, emailed my salesman, and contacted a manager over the following week with zero reply. I’m left to fix these issue myself to ensure that the standard safety equipment works properly in the event of a crash. I’m stunned that these basic safety issues were not addressed by the dealership before putting me on the road. They advertised the Jeep having a soft top and floor mats. The hardtop was installed and I was assured the soft top was complete in the back of the vehicle. When I got home and unpacked the back, not only was there no hardware, but the frame pieces were broken—so no way to install the soft top without spending a few hundred dollars. No floor mats either. I contacted multiple people to inquire about this—no response as of a couple of weeks later. Very disappointed with Twin City. False advertising, either dishonest or incompetent service team, and no effort to even communicate guidance for how to address a dangerous vehicle by staff and management. I would look elsewhere to buy a used vehicle. More
Horrible sales, after talking on phone with greyson, he said vehicle was there and available, drove 1 hr and he said they loaned it out, later to find out one of the employees took it to lunch ... A $41,0 said vehicle was there and available, drove 1 hr and he said they loaned it out, later to find out one of the employees took it to lunch ... A $41,000 car I was gonna buy they loaned to an employee to run the crap out of it and bring it back to sell ?? Not to me , I know how employees treat those vehicles. Should never be allowed in them at all. Lost my buisness totally. I will buy from private party before this car lot..... More
We had an exceptional experience at Twin City and cannot speak highly enough of the great customer service of Eli and Brock who went over and beyond the call of duty when our car broke in Lafayette after dr speak highly enough of the great customer service of Eli and Brock who went over and beyond the call of duty when our car broke in Lafayette after driving from Connecticut to drop our daughter off at Purdue University. They located a radiator and had it installed by a master mechanic as fast as they could. In addition, they also personally helped to move our daughter into her dormitory with all of her belongings on a Saturday afternoon because we were without a car. We couldn't have done it without them and are so appreciative of their kindness and great work. More
I rarely write reviews, but our experience here was a disaster. If you're looking to buy a used vehicle, I would look elsewhere. We had several problems come up, and we are still dealing with issues a mo disaster. If you're looking to buy a used vehicle, I would look elsewhere. We had several problems come up, and we are still dealing with issues a month after our purchase. When we bought the vehicle it was disclosed to us that the lift gate and paint needed work. They agreed to fix that for us before we took possession. 1. The lift gate was only partially fixed due to miscommunication between sales and service. They realized their mistake and ended up fixing the lift gate properly, but the paint job couldn't be done until the next week which was fine. 2. We dropped it off a week later, and they only fixed 1 paint spot. We called and they said they could fix the top paint spot the next week. 3. By this time we noticed a burning oil smell - had a mechanic look at it and the valve cover gaskets were leaking on the top and bottom. This is an obvious issue that any mechanic should have caught. So the Twin City mechanic either saw the problem and didn't disclose it or didn't look the vehicle over thoroughly. I called Twin City and spoke to service. They said they were really sorry about that and would be happy to take care of that for us. He looked up our appointment and said to bring it in when we were getting the rest of the paint fixed. Told them we would need a van loaner vehicle and not a 5 seater since we have kids. He said they could definitely do that. 4. Dropped the van off the next week and double checked the work they'd be doing. The service manager, Scot, came out and said they had no note of anyone saying they'd fix the valve cover leaks. Talked to the general manager, Gary, and he said he also didn't approve that work and "if I fixed everything on every vehicle that came through, we wouldn't make any money". Wow - awesome to know. I didn't expect them to fix everything, but I DO expect dealerships to disclose the work they know needs to happen. They obviously do not care about their used vehicle customers. 5. I still wanted them to fix the paint, so they brought out the loaner vehicle. It was a 5 seater even though my husband had called twice about getting a van. **There is such a lack of communication between departments here. They do not stand by their word, and you certainly shouldn't expect a fair used purchase experience. I would not recommend this place to anyone. UPDATE on the valve fix from our mechanic: "I think I know why the dealership did not want to do this job. The back valve cover was leaking because someone had been in there and broke the bolts off. I removed the bolts by just picking them up." ***DJ was the only good part of our experience, and he doesn't even work there anymore if that tells you anything. More
