Consistently poor service Unfortunately this dealer has provided consistently poor service with sub-par communication for years. I have had more than one vehicle serviced here Unfortunately this dealer has provided consistently poor service with sub-par communication for years. I have had more than one vehicle serviced here over the span of 3 years and the service has always been pretty bad. The only reason I have returned is because they are the closest dealer )the next dealer being nearly 40 mins from my home.) This has spanned different service management staff and service writers. Quality of work has been poor (damaged parts, grease on interior of vehicle, and absurd turn around times for very simple work). It's quite obvious that they are understaffed with service technicians and service writers (only 1 service writer every bring in my vehicle, regardless of time of day.) Time to drop off and pickup a vehicle is off the charts slow (30+ minutes almost every time). Service staff is friendly (no issue there) but seem to be overwhelmed every time I visit) Communication is also been consistently poor. Calls into the service dept are almost put on very long holds. Promises of return phone calls sometimes don't happen at all.. even with several follow up calls to try and get in touch. (once again.. seems to be due to lack of staff) Picking up your vehicle is always glacially slow. I even call ahead to make sure my "paper work" is closed out/finalized before arrival and it rarely is.. causing even more delay. I plan on traveling the extra distance to the Tustin dealership next time around. More
poor customer service Chris the manager is very unprofessional and will come and tell you the monthly payment agree to it and then tell you you owe $3500 at sign in. Also u Chris the manager is very unprofessional and will come and tell you the monthly payment agree to it and then tell you you owe $3500 at sign in. Also uses profanity. We were waiting for a callback for two days from Daniel they left us with no options they just wanted us to sign the term .they wanted to sell the car at the price they wanted. We were extremely disappointed customer service is horrible!! More

It's been under 3 years and I have under 30k on the car. They end up telling me it's a Battery issue and that they also had to swap a faulty Mass Air Flow sensor. They don't offer free replacements of batteries for factory batteries everything is pro rated so I would have had to pay $120. That seemed ridiculous to me so I asked if I could just jump start the car to get it out of there. The consultant informed me that it couldn't be jumped or charged. That they had to push the vehicle in and out. He said the only time the vehicle would start is if they put a new battery in and that a jump box didn't work. The two options he gave me was to pay for a tow or buy his battery. Luckily I work at a dealership in the parts department and I have friends that are auto techs. So I brought a tech with me. The tech found it hard to believe that a jump box that puts out more amps than a battery wouldn't be able to start the car. But the consultant was confident when he told me the car was completely dead. Now in my industry I have jump started cars without batteries in them so I knew what they were saying was bull crap. I humored him and signed my paperwork. My friend walked out to his car and grabbed a jump box. As the consultants were watching us from inside we hooked the jump box to my vehicles terminals. I turned the key and guess what? First try the car started up. After reving the engine to show them we called there bluff we left. These guys are snakes. And to think I bought my car there and they told me if I'm a loyal service customer they would take care of me. More

It was in excellent condition only 63,000miles. While we were just going there to test drive this vehicle. We were in bankrupcy. We knew we couldn't open a line of credit till it was discharged. We only went there because of curiosity of this vehicle for future reference. But they said they could let us leave with the vehicle today. So we thought how is this?. Ok we stupidly left with the car thinking this is so cool. We have been back 3times sighting the contract 3ft long paper. Then they call us back again and again. And finally they say we need $4000 dollars and 2"car payments. We're like ok NO. This all stems from they cannot get someone financed while in bankrupcy. See they are getting in trouble for this and trying to fix it by having us pay bucu money. We are giving the car back. Oh and we gave them $0 dollars. I guess it was a free car for 2months. Beware of them. I can't believe this is a huge dealership and they treat u like a Santa Ana dealership on harbor blvd. this is a huge inconvenience. More

I walked into there sales grounds to be approached by a blonde lady sales rep. If I hadn't thrown her card away I wouldn't certainly give you her name. I asked for the car she showed me 3 models, I was really thinking of buying the car that day until she said yes the trunk is also very big it can fit a lot of "guns" in the back very securely. I looked at her baffled but she just went on about it. I don't know if this because we are in Orange County and a certain type of persons can say what they want and how they liked but really what was she thinking? Why not say camping supplies or going away on a vacation fit all these suitcases in. After that I was pretty much done. So Tuttle click I would retrain someone. Awful. More
This place is aweful! We purchased my father's first Mazda from this dealer about 5 years ago and went in today for a trade-in hoping to get the 2014 Mazda6. Last December we went in to look at a Mazda Mazda from this dealer about 5 years ago and went in today for a trade-in hoping to get the 2014 Mazda6. Last December we went in to look at a Mazda for my brother and spoke to a salesman outside for 5-10 minutes and we told him we were going to look around the lot and would let him know, after 10-15 minutes we went inside and asked for the guy were just talking to and they said ok we'll find him for you, 15 minutes later somebody else came and said "oh he went home" !!!!! We were shocked from lack of service, so we end up going to Fletcher Jones Merceds a few days later and ended up trading 4 cars (myself, my husband, my brother, and my mom!!!) and got 4 brand new Benz! Exactly!!!! But today (regretfully) we decided to give Tuttle Click Mazda, another chance, in order to trade in my father's car. From the very beginning Carl talked like a true "car sales man" , it was straight from a script, word by word! Then without test driving the car we decided to go in and talk numbers (since we already had a Mazda6 in the past). He got some information from us (basic driver's license info, nothing to check Credit with) and came back and told us we need to put down $10,000 per his manager on a $25,000 car! My family and were actually pretty shocked and offended by this ridiculous offer! Meanwhile i was talking to Huntington Beach Mazda dealership, i had told them what we were looking for and the price, they told me they could meet our needs and we should go there. We told Carl about the deal at Huntington Beach and he said "they can't give you that price but I'll run it by my manager" he came back and told us "sorry we can't do that (even thiugh earlier he told us that they are the only dealer in OC who will match the offers made by other dealerships!) and they are lying to you just to get you in, if that's the price they are offering you just tell them to fax it to us but they probably won't because they can't give you such deal" so we got up to leave and as were we were leaving he said " let me know how it goes because i would be interested in knowing how they made you that kind of deal" by that time I was very annoyed by their horrible service and told him " i'll just bring the car over tomorrow to show up how" we went to the Huntington Beach Mazda Dealership and got the best price on the car and lots of incentives and the exact payments and amazing customer service as we deserved! These people should just close their doors for good! Just an aweful experience! More
Everyone hates to shop for cars. Ok, most everyone hates shopping for cars. The sales people, the push, the going back and forth, and then you have to hear another pitch from the Finance guys after you get shopping for cars. The sales people, the push, the going back and forth, and then you have to hear another pitch from the Finance guys after you get past the salesmen. My experience with Tuttle Click Mazda of Irvine couldn't have been more of the opposite. I dread buying a car, I mean I hate it. If my past experiences would have been anything like my time at this dealership I would be excited to buy a car. First off, Brian (our salesman) couldn't have been more helpful. The first time we visited the lot we were there just for information and a quick test drive. He understood and didn't pressure us one bit to go inside and make a deal happen. Now I know this might not play well with management but I'll tell you it meant the world to me and my wife. Brian stayed in touch over the next couple of months, yes months, while we did our research and he answered every question we had. He priced options and models and didn't push one bit. After all of our research we settled on the Mazda CX-9. Now the hard part, haggling over the price right? Nope, Brian gave us a price and applicable discounts without even asking. We priced other dealerships and his was right in line. We poured through KBB, Edmunds, and Cars.com looking for the fair price. Brian’s was right there. No pushing or prodding, we didn’t feel like we were getting the short end of the stick. So we made the deal and were so excited to drive off in our new car. But wait; now we had to deal with the Finance Manager. Well if the salesman didn’t push the extras and try to gouge us then surely the F&I will right? This couldn’t be further from the truth. Nick was fantastic. Now don’t tell his bosses because I want him to keep his job, but he actually told us that we didn’t need a few of the extras they are supposed to push like the alarm and insurance. Wow, he actually refused to even give us the pitch. I couldn’t believe it. Now he did make the pitch for the maintenance and warranty extras, he does have a job to do, and to be honest they were packages I was looking into buying anyway so I was happy to sit there and listen. He even showed us the rate sheet to look over. He respected our decision to not get the highest package and he made us a great deal on the two packages we wanted, so we took it and ran. We were in and out of the dealership in about an hour and a half. No dealership fees or hidden costs in there at all. I couldn’t have been more surprised by this experience. If this had been my first time buying a car I would have thought this is always the car buying experience and wondered why everyone complains so much about it. But I know the truth all too well, that this experience is not the industry norm. Tuttle-Click obviously takes pride in how they select and train their personnel and it shows. I highly recommend this dealership. Brain even asked us to come back in a few weeks for a free fill up and car wash. Of course we took him up on his offer and it wasn’t a joke. We didn’t spend a dime. Keep in mind this was after we bought the car and gave him a review after getting a call from Tuttle-Click. He had neither obligation nor any benefit to gain from giving us this kind of treatment. Now that’s customer service. The dealership was nice and clean; I hear they’re upgrading the facility. The lot stock full of cars. I know that we only dealt directly with two people but we briefly interacted with a couple of others and they all seemed very courteous and professional. I’m not saying they’re perfect and that everyone is going to have my experience but they are one of the highest rated dealership chains in Arizona and Southern California and I know firsthand why. Our thanks to Tuttle-Click Mazda in Irvine for all of your help. You’ve satisfied another customer and exceeded their expectations. Will we be back? You bet. More
