I emailed the local dealers and I received a message from Alex Akhavan, the Internet Sales Manager, right away. From the start he was very friendly. We spoke on the telephone and I made an appointment to go see him. I was greeted with a smile. Alex welcomed me in and proceeded to give me what I call, hands down "the best car buying experience" of my life. He gave me an amazing deal on a beautiful car and made the whole process so painless that it surprised us. Easy, fast, thorough, painless, etc. If you are in South Orange County and would like a great deal on a Hyundai...do yourself a favor and call Alex immediately!! More
If you plan on dealing with Tuttle Cilck Irvine, I strongly suggest you check out Yelp reviews as well as the following account of my interactions with the Service Center. The following is a factua strongly suggest you check out Yelp reviews as well as the following account of my interactions with the Service Center. The following is a factual account of my 8 month horror story trying to get my Hyundai Genesis Coupe fixed at Tuttle Click Irvine service center. I love the car and this is nothing against Hyundai since my experience with Tustin Hyundai has been so drastically difference. The main thing you need to understand with Tuttle Click is that integrity is a foreign term for them. If you take the chance of doing any business with Tuttle Click Irvine, beware and get EVERYTHING they say or promise in writing. The short version is that * after at least 10 visits over 8 months to fix a wheel vibration and pulling, the problem had not been resolved *I am out about $1400 dollars and hours of wasted time * Lots of broken promises, refusal to follow up with calls and service they promised *A criminal level of integrity not to reimburse me for the charges toward a fix that they never provided. The problem stated when I developed a steering wheel vibration and pull to one side of the road that became very noticeable after changing my brake rotors and tires. Eight months later and still the problems both remain! In attempting to get this problem resolved, I have put out my own money for wheel balancing from Tuttle Click and three other tire shops, paid for the Tuttle Click body shop to check out the body alignment and paid for the grossly expensive Brembo rotors to get the car back to "factory specification" at the requirements of the Hyundai technicians before they did any further work. Only problem was that the rotors were never the problem, as proven by the fact the problems persisted, yet they refused to reimburse me for their Brembo rotors as they agreed to do if the problem was not resolved. They stated that because the vibration, in their estimate, was 95% fixed even though the pull to the right was not fixed, that I should pay for their repair. So Dustin Larsen, the head of the service department , is content sending a car back on the road that has one remaining problem unfixed and the other not completely fixed. This is a HUGE problem in that they are charging for a repair that they did not fully fix and, even more problematic, content to send a car on the road with a problem they had identified as related to brakes. A SERIOUS safety issue if their assessment were true! I will try and keep the details brief so as not to bore you, but to show you the character and nature of Tuttle Click Irvine, the service center there and, likely, the dealership. When I pressed Tuttle Click and Dustin Larsen on a refund, he passed me to Dave Best whom Dustin Larsen stated would provide the reimbursement. Three weeks later when Dave had not called to complete the refund as Dustin promised, I again had to call them to settle the matter. Then Dustin lied and said the only way they would reimburse the brake rotors were if they took back their Brembo rotors and replaced them with mine they still had in the shop. Again, a serious problem to even suggest this given that unless they can promise my original rotors were replaced in the EXACT position as they were originally, they stand a reasonable chance of warping and being ruined. That is why I had the original agreement with Dustin Larsen to keep the Brembo rotors if they did fix the problem. Dustin is a mechanic and knows this! Then, Dave Best becomes upset when I get angry with him and question Tuttle Click's integrity and Dustin Larsen's in particular, and gets huffy puffy as if justified now in denying any further service or reimbursement. I'm not sure either one would do better if their employer had failed to deliver their full pay check for 8 months and continuously neglected to return their calls or make good on their agreed employee/employer contract. The sad part of all this is that I was passed to Dustin Larsen after receiving similar treatment from lower level employees who could not find parts for my car or follow through with calls either. Now I see the problem starts at the top! This whole time I was rearranging my work and child care schedule to drop the car off for a day or two and would half the time find that the special technician or service that I had specifically scheduled for would not be available. I seriously wonder if some days it just sat there with little to nothing happening. Contrast this whole experience with Tustin Hyundai who went to bat with Hyundai and set me up with a rental car while they worked, got authorization to get extra help from an external wheel/alignment shop and gave the car a sensational detailing before returning it to me. They got the alignment issue and most of the wheel vibration and are happy to take it back to get it the rest of the way. More
