Wow! Buying off the Internet has never been easier! I buy a lot of things on the Internet from companies like Amazon, Overstock, etc. But buy a car off the Internet? A car from that is located >700 miles away, sight unseen from a dealer I've never been to or a salesperson I've never met? ABSOLUTELY!!! It really is a brave new world. I found just the vehicle "I wanted" at Locklear Chrysler | Jeep. A simple inquiry opened up a helpful dialogue with Mark Dillon, Internet Manager. Mark was knowledgeable, honest, and forthright about the vehicle and the process. He sent me videos and photos of the vehicle. Mark put my mind at ease that I could have the Jeep I wanted without ever stepping foot in his dealership door! Here are the facts:. I found the Jeep I wanted on Monday. Negotiated my deal over the phone with Mark on Tuesday. Mark had me approved with great financing on Wednesday. Mark arranged for a driver to deliver my new jeep to my door in Virginia (>700 miles away). I took delivery on Friday AM, signed the papers, and the Jeep was mine! But wait there's more....I traded in my car by phone as well...I sent Mark photos and details of my trade. The dealer delivery person took my car and drove it back to the dealership in Alabama. Now that is service! I never left my computer or cell phone from start to finish. Everyone at the dealership including Fred Baker the Finance Manager, was fantastic to work with. Allen helped me pick out a 2015 Jeep Cherokee and made sure I got everything that I wanted. They didn't have it on the lot, so they had to search other dealerships' inventories. Even when they found one that was close and we'd started working on a deal, Allen didn't stop searching and eventually came back with one that was exactly what I'd asked for. I have never been so happy with a car before. I originally came in and told him I was unable to purchase immediately - I was waiting on a job offer that could come in 2 weeks or around graduation. While other dealerships insisted that I find a way to pay for it immediately, like borrow money from my dad (I'm 29, come on...) or have my boyfriend help out, Allen gave me stellar service and understood my situation. Other dealerships talked directly to my boyfriend, while Allen did engage him in conversation, he talked mostly to me. He was honest, patient, and very helpful. I can't recommend him enough. More
