Not great service, innept or dishonest (you decide) I went in to look at a 2018 Kia Soul because they were the only ones that had the color I was considering. They were busy so it was almost 2 hours bef I went in to look at a 2018 Kia Soul because they were the only ones that had the color I was considering. They were busy so it was almost 2 hours before we sat down with Chris, a young but eager guy. Did a test drive, really liked the car so we talked features and numbers. Here's where the experience goes south. I specifically asked and was told it had a spare tire, because I know Kia is starting to sell those as an accessory for some models. Yup, Kia considers them an accessory, buyer beware there. I asked Chris is there was a charge when the UVO / Navigation system needed a software update, I was told no charge. Found out later the last update goes for $149. I told him what my monthly comfort zone was, so of course the dealing with 'Let me ask my manager' started. They came back at $25 more than what I wanted, but said they could extend it by 3 months and make my number. I asked if it would up the interest rate (I was told 1.9%) and was told no, the rate would stay the same. Another two hours later (we were there almost 6 hours by now) I finally get in front of Finance, and to my surprise, the interest rate is magically 4%. So be it, I don't think Pete was to blame and I will probably refinance through my bank in a month anyway. Two weeks later I am cleaning out the back and lift the package tray and foam insert to find there is no spare tire. One phone call, one e-mail and a personal visit later (spoke with Josh, who said he would tell Chris to call me) I was left feeling like I won't be getting a spare tire from them. Not even a 'Sorry about that'. So, I removed all Kia Turnersville decals and plate frames from my car and ordered a spare from another dealer. I get asked about the car (Wild Orange gets noticed) daily, and I am happy to say how much I love the car and how they should go anywhere but Kia Turnersville. I wonder, if I cost them even one sale, how much their commission is compared to a happy customer and a $200 spare tire kit? Their loss, I will never be back. Update 11/8/17: I was contacted by the Sales Manager Vince, only after posting this review. Short version, he offered to buy me a spare if I deleted this post. Not edited, not altered, he used the word 'delete'. When I hesitated because it felt dirty, like a payoff, Vince proceeded to tell me it was a "he said, she said issue" and his salespeople had a different version of things. So here is a guy trying to buy my silence and he's questioning my honesty. Well Vince, my morals are worth more than a $190 tire kit. I would prefer people know the truth about you and Chris. Guess the customer is sometimes right at Turnersville Kia, unless you can infer they are a liar and then buy off a negative review. More
