Not A Place To Buy From If You Are Not Local I recently purchased a 2013 Suburban from Sutliff and my experience started out pretty good then it was all down hill. I live 5 hrs away from Sutliff I recently purchased a 2013 Suburban from Sutliff and my experience started out pretty good then it was all down hill. I live 5 hrs away from Sutliff and saw the vehicle online. Although the dealership would not negotiate on price I felt the price was fair so I made the trip to purchase it. I was told the front bumper had has scratches so the day before I came they sent it to get the bumper painted. I thought ok, that sounds reasonable dealerships paint bumpers all the time. Not until I got there did they inform me that some discount paint shop down the road (not their own body shop) did the work and the paint did not match exactly. In fairness they offered to drop the price $1000 so I could get it repainted at home. As if a dealership is going to paint that huge bumper for $1000. Reluctantly I made the purchase because it was a hard to find color and feature combination with decent mileage. The online add for the vehicle stated "one owner", but failed to mention the one owner was Enterprise Car Rental. While still at the dealership I noticed the key fob did not work. The salesman told me to replace the battery when I got home and if it did not work he would mail me a new one. I checked it when I got home and realized it had no battery in it at all. So much for the 172 point vehicle checklist. Then on the way home I noticed a front end shimmy at high speed, likely a tire out of balance. The the next day both the "Service Suspension" and "Engine Warning" lights came on. I have to assume the dealership just reset them long enough to sell the vehicle. Then make a profit repairing the issues when customers return the vehicles for service under the certified vehicle warranty program. Just an assumption. When I contacted the dealership the salesman told me, "Just take the vehicle to a dealer for repairs under the certified vehicle warranty. Regarding the out of balance tire, we gave you a $1000 dollars off already which should cover the cost." I was expecting them to reach out to a partner Chevrolet dealership in Richmond and make arrangements to get the issues resolved, but I guess spending $30 bucks with another dealership to satisfy a customer who just spent $38,000 on a used car was thinking too far out of the box. I guess it would have been a different story had I lived closer as I would have returned the vehicle under the 3 day return policy had they told me that as a local customer. I guess they assume I won't be back so my repeat business means nothing to them. I would not do business with them again. More

Terry Lindsey helped me get the extended coverage that I wanted on my vehicle and was so friendly. I will definitely recommend Sutliff to everyone I know looking to buy a new car. :) More

Extremely Disappointed and Frustrated! We both went to the vehicles of our interest: I wanted to drive the Traverse, my son a large truck. Though we opened and sat in these vehicles, looked at their counterparts, etc. and waited AT LEAST ONE HALF HOUR, NOT ONE PERSON from the dealership came out to us and offered their service, despite the fact that during our wait, two young men wearing the Sutliff "uniform"; khaki slacks and blue polos came near us and then crossed Paxton Street to the far lot, NOT ONE approached us. Clearly, they either don't need our business or just don't care. They blew it big time. If John Hickey himself offered to show me vehicles, I would decline and I certainly will warn friends and family to steer clear of this unprofessional car dealership. What an incredible disappointment. More
