Raised in a family with mechanics and engineers, I am no stranger to dealership and vehicle maintenance practices. As a woman who knows cars, I never post public reviews but my experience with Tulley BMW of Manchester was, by far, the most disappointing and frustrating dealership encounter I have ever had. Last May, I purchased a used 2025 BMW X1 from Tulley. After the test drive I raised concerns three separate times regarding the condition of the tires. Each time, I was assured they were in great shape with plenty of tread, no issues. I drive from NH to NYC often for work so having a safe, reliable car is essential. Within two months, road noise and steering wheel vibration became hard to ignore. Around the same time I brought the car in for it's 20k maintenance. The technician noted that the tires, while still in decent shape, may lead to loud road noise and a tire rotation was suggested. I declined it at the time because I needed the car back immediately that day. After taking the car to a tire shop in Connecticut to do the suggested rotation and inspection, the technician confirmed poor tire wear, the exact issue I flagged on day one. As the road noise and vibration proceeded to get severe, I began to feel unsafe driving the car so I made an appointment to bring it back to Tulley to get a proper diagnosis and to rule out other potential mechanical issues. The technician, David, (who was extremely helpful) noted that the tires had uneven wear and cupping. A replacement and alignment was suggested. Costing well over $2,000. I declined the service and took the car to a local tire shop where I ended up paying much less for 4 brand new tires and an alignment. What struck odd to me was that my local shop gave me the before and after alignment results that were virtually identical. Raising serious questions as to exactly when those defective tires were placed on the vehicle. If the alignment was good, what caused them to wear that way? When I reached out to General Manager Chris Schwarz to seek a fair resolution regarding the tire issues, his response was dismissive, placing blame on me for doing things the way I had and offering no resolution. Noting things like, you should have gotten the tires rotated and an alignment. I decided not to respond letting him know I had done so at a different shop already. I felt it was a waste of time to continue to defend myself given his initial email response tone. Also, getting the tires rotated would do nothing in fixing already defective tires in this scenario. Lastly, during the finance process with Business Manager Britnei Curley, I explicitly asked for info on the BMW extended warranty due to all the driving I do. Through clever bait and switch, I unknowingly signed up for a third-party warranty (EG Assurance) a company with numerous consumer complaints, as well as a separate BMW maintenance package added to my loan. What I signed that day was NOT what I thought I was getting. They must be trained on how to manipulate words to deliberately confuse the consumer. Well played. I eventually received a refund for the third-party warranty applied to my loan principal, but it required persistent emails and phone calls to gain their attention. I was not able to get a refund on the maintenance package. To resolve that problem, I decided to refinance the vehicle away from BMW Financial. This entire experience has pushed me to sell the car altogether just to be rid of any association with the Tulley automotive group. All of this happened in just 3.5 months of owning the vehicle and now I want it gone. The bait and switch finance tactics, failure to address concerns on the tires, and extremely poor customer service from the GM... I will never set foot in another Tulley dealership, and I am formally escalating this matter, backed by full documentation and service receipts to BMW Corporate, BBB, and NH Dept of Insurance. More

We purchased a 2024 BMW X1 Certified Pre-Owned from this dealership on Saturday. Within less than 24 hours of taking delivery, we noticed significant damage on one of the headlights and immediately notified dealership on Saturday. Within less than 24 hours of taking delivery, we noticed significant damage on one of the headlights and immediately notified the dealership by email. Since it was the weekend and the dealership was closed, that was the earliest opportunity we had to report the issue. The damage is approximately 3-4 inches long and appears to be more than a simple surface scratch. Based on its appearance, it could be a deep gouge, chip, crack, or even a defect that may have penetrated the lens. Rather than inspecting the vehicle in person, the dealership chose to make its determination solely from photographs. The General Manager stated that because the damage is not a crack or a hole, it meets BMW Certified Pre-Owned requirements and therefore they will not replace the headlight. My concern is simple: how can anyone accurately determine the depth and nature of the damage, or whether there is a crack or hole, without physically inspecting the vehicle? What is most disappointing is not necessarily the final decision, but the refusal to perform an in-person inspection of a concern reported immediately after purchase. We purchased a Certified Pre-Owned BMW expecting a thorough inspection process and a willingness to stand behind the vehicle if a significant defect was discovered right away. At a minimum, I expected the dealership to inspect the headlight in person before concluding that the damage did not warrant further action. Unfortunately, that did not happen. I would encourage anyone purchasing a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle to carefully inspect every component before leaving the lot and to document any concerns immediately. More
