Paint scratches I bought a brand new Subaru 2018 Forrester. The sales associate went to a list of options that Subaru does not provide standard. One of these opti I bought a brand new Subaru 2018 Forrester. The sales associate went to a list of options that Subaru does not provide standard. One of these options was a covering for the back bumper. The cost of the option was $100 and to put on was $50. I thought half the cost of the item to put on was excessive so I elected not to get the option. I bought two shelves that came in car boxes. I loaded them into the Forrester and drive them home when I took them out they were to paint scratches. It appears they only put one coat of paint on the bumpers. I called Tucson Subaru and told him what happened and they said bring the car and will take care of it. When I arrived they said oh no we do not fix paint scratches. This is despite their claim that the car is covered bumper-to-bumper for 35,000 miles. We finally came to an understanding that I would buy the bumper cover for $100 and they would not charge me the $50 to put on. I informed them that if they did not fix the paint scratches I would make this review . They seem not to care whether I did or not. I do not recommend this servicing department but since I have three magnets coming with my new Subaru I have no choice but to go here. What I would tell you to sign Subaru buyers is to negotiate the bumper cover as part of your purchase price . I really think in retrospect that the back bumper cover is not something you can really have a car without so Subaru should not make it an option should be standard More
