Truck City was able to complete one of the 2 repairs we brought the car in for after having the car for over 60 days. I understand the delay was due to parts, but there never seemed to be a sense of urgenc brought the car in for after having the car for over 60 days. I understand the delay was due to parts, but there never seemed to be a sense of urgency to get this job done. I was constantly following up to get an update on the repair vs the truck city team keeping me informed of any further delays. The completion date moved back 3 times but unless I called there was no update. Coincidentally, upon reaching out to the service manager, one of the parts showed up that day. Honestly while the delay, which truck city had no control over, and the lack of communication were frustrating we were not dissatisfied. Where our bigger irritation arose was when I went to pick up the vehicle there was a miscellaneous charge of $72. I get it…$72 on an invoice of $1200 isn’t much, but I can’t remember the last time I handed out $72 for nothing. When I asked what the charge was for no one could provide an answer. Any answer would have been better than “not sure”. Truck city had the car for 2 months…perhaps they were charging a storage fee…the car looked freshly detailed so maybe that was there…maybe they changed the oil and rotated the tires…had the service associates said anything remotely relevant I would have been fine. While the associates took the charge off, had I not said anything this charge would have just gone through w this padded fee. Perhaps there is a reasonable explanation, but currently one hasn’t been presented. More
Mike Rodgers seems to run a tight ship over the years. I know the dealership has gone through several sales managers and staff and I've seen maintenance personnel changes, but the quality of customer servic know the dealership has gone through several sales managers and staff and I've seen maintenance personnel changes, but the quality of customer service has always been above average. I have always believed the employees will mirror the work ethics of the supervision. More

I Recently purchased a motorhome on a 2003 F350 chassis. I drove down from north Austin, about an hour in the motorhome. I wanted an mechanic to look it over and tell me what work, if any, is needed. I w I drove down from north Austin, about an hour in the motorhome. I wanted an mechanic to look it over and tell me what work, if any, is needed. I waited on-site. At around 9:40am I was told inspection was done, here's a list of things. (eg brakes, bearings, tires, steering damper, shocks, etc). I asked Travis for the cost, and was told he is waiting for parts to get back. I was leaning towards getting the brakes/bearings done and informed Travis of this, but I wanted the cost first. A few times I got up to check with Travis who informed me he was still waiting on parts department. At 2PM (Over 4 hours after the inspection was done, and after I had chatted with Travis again, I was told the parts are obsolete, and is it OK to use aftermarket parts. I agreed, but still wanted to know the cost, before work started. He informed me it would be about 10 minutes. 20 minutes later, still no price. I decided to pay for the inspection and to take my vehicle home. I was told by Travis he would call tomorrow (Tues 12 Oct) with the prices. I asked for an email. Its now the 13th and still no call or email. I am very frustrated that I had to wait over 4 hours only to be told parts were obsolete. And even if I wanted the brakes/bearings done, would have to wait for cost and the parts, and there might not be enough time to get them done today. This was not a good first time experience with you establishment. Based on my experience, and the lack of follow-up, I will not be back. I will try to find an independent mechanic, or travel further to another factory service center. More
