GREAT Service department. The GREAT Service began as a happy accident a couple of months ago on a day that went like this. The day was drizzling so the wipers ran intermittently while running some errand happy accident a couple of months ago on a day that went like this. The day was drizzling so the wipers ran intermittently while running some errands. But the drivers side wiper blade split badly and had to be replaced, and I wasn't near my (purchase point) dealership. Here's the rub-for the past few maintenance cycles I felt that my original dealers' service department was lacking-even met with their service manager about the matter. Thus I decided under the circumstances I should use a different dealership for parts. Happy time begins now. The Truck City Ford dealer is a mile from where I was in Buda, so I stopped their on my way home and got what I needed at their parts counter. After a nice chat with the parts guy I returned to my truck to install the blades before I got back out on the road. I fumbled around for several minutes in the rain before asking a young man nearby (from sales) for assistance which he eagerly agreed to. He directed me to park at a covered area to get out of the rain so I drove the truck around to the service/parts drive through area and parked. By that time the parts guy and a service guy or two were on it. Timeline: from "How can I help you sir?", to "If there's anything else I can do for you sir just ask?" ~ 2 minutes (for both wipers). That's GREAT SERVICE! That's what brought me back. I will continue to patronize Truck City Ford for service on my 2017 F-350 because the people in their service department, from Mr. Rodgers to Mr. Scott Jordan and the technicians behind the scene, hit a home run Saturday.
