Out of state buyer they screwed I called about a car I saw on cars.com, and was going to buy it, only based on the pictures, since I am out of state. I told the salesman I would put I called about a car I saw on cars.com, and was going to buy it, only based on the pictures, since I am out of state. I told the salesman I would put a deposit on my credit card to hold the car, and I would get my financing and schedule a plane trip to pick it up. He said there was 1 or 2 other people coming in that day to look at the car, but I said I will buy it right now !! He would not take a credit card deposit to hold the car, he wanted me to go fill out a loan application. I was going to get my own loan at my local credit union, but in the time it took me to fill out the loan application, for a loan I didn't want, apparently they sold the car. Very poor customer service, especially since I was out of state. Not like I was just down the street and could walk down there in 5 minutes. I bought a car 1 1/2 years ago out of state and they took a credit card deposit to hold the car for me. So, these people are very unprofessional and not helpful at all. They had a paying customer will to buy a car and they would not take my money !!! Seems odd. Ok, so someone said they would stop by and look at the car, but I was there first (on the phone), and was ready to put a down payment on it !!! Something is wrong with these people. I found another car, almost the same, for $1,000 less, so it worked out, but very unprofessional on their part, not helpful, not very friendly. I am in Florida, guess it is a "northern" thing. More

Buyer Beware My experience with TruWorth has been very frustrating to say the least. I bought a used car, paying cash for it in April. My salesperson was very frie My experience with TruWorth has been very frustrating to say the least. I bought a used car, paying cash for it in April. My salesperson was very friendly and helpful. She was truly the ONLY friendly and helpful person I dealt with during this experience. After having my car for a couple of weeks, I had not received any paperwork for the title or registration. I emailed my salesperson, Jen, to find out what was going on. After some research, she left me a voicemail stating she did not want to discuss the "situation" in an email, but would rather discuss on the phone. After speaking, I found out that there was a "problem" with the title, but they were addressing it. Jen also offered to put a dealer plate on my car because my previous plate had expired. I spoke with someone in the title department who told me that they were "having a hard time getting the lien released on the title. No further explaination was given. It took over 60 days and many phone calls/emails to FINALLY receive a title on the car. My title is postmarked 6/23/14. I received a voicemail from someone at Truworth just a day or so after receiving my title/registration paperwork stating that her manager had asked her to call me to get the plate back. Obviously, I needed to get the new plate/registration before doing this. A couple of days later, Jen called and I told her that I hadn't had the title that long and that I was dealing with the death of my father in Michigan and would be in by the end of the week or early next week to drop off the plate. She was AWESOME and agreed that this would indeed be appropriate. The very next day, I received a voicemail AND an email from Chip, the Sales Manager requesting the plate back. I called him back to explain AGAIN what the situation is and told him I would return the plate by the end of this week or early next week. Because Chip is the manager, I decided to discuss with him ALL of the issues and problems I had trying to get the title. He became very argumentative and rude. He would not listen to what I was trying to say. He was speaking over me and was extremely aggressive. He accused me of borrowing money from someone to buy the car because I could not get financing. NOT TRUE. Also, NOT RELEVANT. He also told me that he did not care if they lost me as a returning customer. Chip told me I had two days to return the plate or he would be contacting an attorney. When I asked him not to threaten me, he said, "Or else WHAT??" I asked to speak to Chip's boss, and he told me he was the highest person there. He told me there was no corporate office or really anyone else that I could speak to. After ending this conversation abruptly, Chip called me back to "apologize." He told me that he had just spoken to his General Manager (wait... I thought there was no one above him??) and that he was sorry that he did not know all the facts before calling me. I explained to him that I had been trying to tell him what was going on with the title and the plate, but he kept interrupting. To this he stated that there were "25 other people around when I called." Not sure why this mattered. To Chips credit, he did call me to apologize and was MUCH more appropriate and understanding. HOWEVER, the way he spoke to me and the accusations he made were completely out of line and his apology was too little too late. Because of this experience, the lack of communication and the extremely rude manner in which I was spoken to, I will not be buying any vehicle here again and I will not recommend this establishment to anyone I know. Buyer Beware. Extremely disappointed customer. More
TruWorth is really True Worth for money It's been a month and half since i bought a car from this dealership. I wanted to make sure that i feel right to say this. My customer experience was It's been a month and half since i bought a car from this dealership. I wanted to make sure that i feel right to say this. My customer experience was good with them. They are more organized. The way the things are kept is believable and trustworthy, especially with their website with the tools available to you. I did an inspection just to make sure what they told is what i got and it is. I bought a 2005 Dodge Neon SXT. It was a good condition vehicle they said and until now it has lived up to it. I want to thank them for doing a good job. I request them to continue such service to the customers. Those whose read this review, I say you can trust them. Do check for yourself. We didn't want to sell on our own so we took the vehicle to TruWorth and received a competitive price. It was simple and easy to sell the car. TruWorth quickly detailed the car, made minor repairs and listed it for sale. Fortunately the car sold very quickly and under their Share Program we received an additional payment. The total value we received was much better than we would have gotten on any trade in and we did not have the effort of cleaning or selling the car. Thanks TruWorth!! More
Finally - A Positive Car Buying Experience After nearly a month of searching for the right car for my family at a price that was within our budget, we stumbled upon TruWorth. The dealership After nearly a month of searching for the right car for my family at a price that was within our budget, we stumbled upon TruWorth. The dealership was over an hour away and my wife called initially to insure the vehicle in question was still available. She explained the distance we would be travelling and asked if the saleman, Scott, would be willing to test drive the vehicle for an initial evaluation and report back to us any concerns. Within less than 10 minutes, Scott responded that the vehicle was smooth driving and did not appear to have any mechanical issues. He then proceeded to describe every stain, scratch, and cosmetic concerns that we might have including the rear hatch hydraulic lifts were needing replaced. He indicated that he would have those looked at. Later that afternoon, Scott called and asked if we would be interested in a test drive and that he had spoke with the manager and the rear hydraulic hatch lifts would be replaced the following morning. The next day (today) we decided to make the trek early in the morning and stopped at several other dealers that we were also considering. The first indicated that several people were in line to purchase the vehicle and the vehicle was ready for a test drive. We arrived promptly and found the vehichle still being serviced and wouldn't be available for 3 hours. --- We proceeded to the next stop, dealer two, and found the vehicle listed was not available on the lot specified and had to be located then delivered for us to test drive. We proceeded to TruWorth and arrived a few minutes early. We were quickly greeted by Michael and he asked if we were just browsing and indicated he would be inside if we needed any assistance... WHAT!!!!! Yes, he was not on me asking about how much I wanted to spend or how quickly I wanted to buy... He simply wanted to know if I needed help... My wife and I explained we had called the previous day and were interested in a test drive and he quickly retrieved the key. The car started right up without issues, note* the prior 4 cars we had test driven at previous dealers in the same price range and year/age and miles required a jump start. Several of those knew we were on our way ahead of time and didn't take the time to verfiy their vehicle was operational. He asked if we wanted him to come along on the test drive or would prefer him to stay behind. I welcomed his company as we were somewhat unfamilar with the area. We tested all the buttons, gadgets, etc. in the vehicle and he assisted in determing how to operate the features of the vehicle. Not once did I feel pressured to buy. Not once did I feel the need to negotiate the price of the vehicle. It was priced below most other vehicles of this type and was close to most private sale prices. IMPRESSED! We checked the back hatch and told Michael that Scott had indicated it would be fixed. Michael stated he would ship the parts to us if we were comfortable with replacing on our own or we could come back in. Next... We begin the paperwork process and had a trade-in. They were concerned, as I could understand, the quality of our trade but came to a very reasonable agreement quickly and without the typical "behind the scenes" flash that occurs at most other dealers. Lastly, NO HIDDEN FEES. They were upfront, car price + tax... no document prep, no destination, no inspection, nothing... plain and simple. I could calculate and know exactly what to expect. No attempt to sale me "add ons", warranties, etc that are typically a waste of money and have no real value add except to the dealer being purchased from. While signing our paperwork, the parts arrived for the hatch and the service team went right to work installing... TOTALLY IMPRESSED! I have NEVER had an experience so positive or smooth when purchasing a vehicle. A+++ to this team and my hats off to them... Exceptional value, exceptional service, exceptional job. Thanks TruWorth Auto for positive car buying experience... FINALLY! ***Note One of the optional selections for the survey ask what I prefer more, Speed of overall process or Establishing a relationship with dealer for future service and sales --- I chose Speed of Overall Process, however, in this case, they hit both extremely well.
