Thank you for your comments and the feedback you shared with Dealer Rater. I am sorry your visit fell short of your expectations. As you can see by our Dealer Rater reviews exceeding our guests and customers’ expectations is something we strive for with every visit. Due to the overwhelming popularity for the All-New Impreza, Subaru has not been able to produce enough of the 5-door hatchback models to meet the demand. During the time-frame of your visits we found ourselves sold out of the 5 door Premium and Limited models and there weren’t any available for transfer in our region. Do to the publicity and interest in the Impreza we ran out of brochures, but Bob should have provided a link to Subaru’s eBrochure and offered to mail you a brochure when our reorder was filled the following week. On June 10, 2012, and after your first visit to our store, we received your email thanking Bob for the time he spent answering all your questions and you asked to be notified when our Dark Grey Limited Impreza arrived. Bob emailed you the next day to let you know we expected the Impreza to arrive on June 13th or June 14th. That same day thanking Bob for his and you asked it would pass Massachusetts regulations. Mike Lubanski, our Sales Business Manager, replied on Bob’s behalf to let you know the Impreza had arrived and that the car was 50-State emissions certified and should pass MA regulations. According to our records, you chose not to buy the Impreza because you felt our price was too high due to limited supply in the Southeast and that your research indicated you could negotiate a better deal in Buffalo, a place you were to visit later in the month. With regard to your complaint about incorrect information given, a quick scan of the Massachusetts RMV website and a subsequent phone call I made this morning to the Department of Environmental Protection verifies the information you were provided via email by Mike Lubanski was correct. Generally, vehicles with less than 7,500 miles are prohibited from being registered in Massachusetts unless they meet Massachusetts, California, or 50-state emissions requirements. Please contact the Department of Environmental Protection at (617) 292-5762 for more information. I’m glad you found the Impreza 5-door that met your specifications and I do hope with the additional inventory in Buffalo you were able to obtain the deal that met your financial expectations.
