My Ford focus’s engine was replaced on warranty and when they replaced the engine they drilled a bolt through my heat shield and cracked it, left a vacuum hose disconnected, and forgot to connect multiple s they replaced the engine they drilled a bolt through my heat shield and cracked it, left a vacuum hose disconnected, and forgot to connect multiple sensors. They only reconnected the vacuum hose and told me the heat shield was not their fault even though they had to remove and place the heat shield multiple times. Mike is the only person who can give you a straight answer in the shop and unfortunately any worker besides Mike was unhelpful and dismissive. Dennis or “Denny” in the shop claimed a bolt could just go through a heat shield with regular wear and tear, I’m not sure where he found that information but education may be needed for him to be a more competent mechanic.
