I took my truck in for standard periodic maintenance, as I have always had it serviced at a dealership. This will be the third or fourth time I have taken my truck to Tri-State Ford of Amarillo. and require I have always had it serviced at a dealership. This will be the third or fourth time I have taken my truck to Tri-State Ford of Amarillo. and required the service as I was taking a trip to California and have always maintained my truck in excellent condition. When I received my truck back from the "mechanics" (and I use the term loosely), it had heavy grease fingerprints on the interior and upon driving it home found that it now pulled heavily to the left when I had never experienced any steer problems before. Its been about 25,000 miles since I had the tires replaced and a 4-wheel alignment done. I found some serious scuff marks on the drivers side tire that was on the front wheel and had been rotated to the rear wheel. I attempted to call Jonathan Davidson who had asked that I leave them a good review, but was routed to a recording and left a message. I NEVER HEARD BACK. I would avoid having these people work on your vehicle, it appears they have a way of perpetuating your custom.(in other words they will damage your vehicle either intentionally or accidentally, to keep themselves in work) More

Horrible service. Took our vehicle here for a recall and to address an issue with our electric power steering. Our appointment was at 9 am, but the tech said our vehicle wouldn't be looked at until after 12 to address an issue with our electric power steering. Our appointment was at 9 am, but the tech said our vehicle wouldn't be looked at until after 12 sometime. We were told that we would be updated and were not. We had to keep calling to find out what was happening with our vehicle. Ephraim sent a text to my husband and said that he could be reached if we had any questions. He did not respond to my husband's texts. When we spoke with the service department we only received vague responses and never any concrete answers regarding the order of the part to fix our power steering issue. We live near the Oklahoma border, but chose to use this dealer in Texas because that is our state of residence. After calling to see if I could get an estimated time of completion, I was told by Ephraim that the part for our vehicle would most likely not be in until the end of the week and that he didn't really know when to expect it. This is not what he told my husband. He told my husband that the part was on backorder and the only way to get it was to have it expedited. He never mentioned that he didn't have an ETA for the part. The tech also seemed unable to give us an estimate for the repair. When I mentioned all of these inconsistencies to Ephraim, he became condescending and extremely curt with his responses. He said,"just because we ordered the part doesn't mean it magically appears." I told him we would rather pick-up our vehicle than wait for a part that didn't have an ETA. My husband told him the same with regards to picking-up our vehicle. He said fine and hung-up before my husband could ask him what time would be best for us to pick the car up. I called back and asked for his name. The response was muffled and I understood his name to be Ethan. When I asked him to confirm he said, "If that's what you heard." I asked him to repeat and he did and then I asked how it was spelled. I then explained that he had hung up on us before my husband had a chance to ask what time would be best to pick-up our vehicle. He said that they were done with their part. I said that his response didn't answer my question, and again asked the same question. He replied, "I said yes, to whenever. We are done with our part." I then left a message for the service manager, Christopher Garcia, to lodge a complaint about Ephraim's lack of customer service skills. He returned my call, but I was driving at the time and couldn't answer. I called back 10 minutes later, and then 3 or 4 more times and left 2 voice-mails and never received a return call. We are not demanding customers. We merely wanted a more concrete time-line. We ended up calling a dealer in Oklahoma. I spoke with a gentleman at that dealer for about 10 minutes and he gave me a price for the part and labor without me having to ask. He also gave me an ETA for our part and said it should actually arrive within a day. They had no backorder. We had hoped for a better experience in our home-state, but the difference in treatment between the dealer in TX and OK is glaringly obvious. We'd rather be treated well. We will never give any business to Tri-State Ford. More

Went in for a oil change and check over, well 2 hours later it was brought out. Noticed everything out of my glove box, no biggie i went to put it all back in when i noticed the glove box wouldnt close a later it was brought out. Noticed everything out of my glove box, no biggie i went to put it all back in when i noticed the glove box wouldnt close all the way, so they came and tried to fix it on the drive and took it back in the shop, came back still wouldnt latch on the passenger side but i had to go for another appointment. Noticed they didnt clean up anything from the spilled oil and filter so i went and washed the engine bay down got back to the house and noticed oil in my garage got underneath and filter was loose so I tightened it and cleaned everything. Also noticed i have an oil leak starting from the front cover area which they said nothing about, so my thought is from them is lets wait till its out of warranty so the customer has to pay several thousand dollars to get it fixed. This is my 2nd bad experience with these guys what ever happened to taking care of the customer and taking pride in your work. Coming from a working mechanic i would never let my work leave the shop like this. More
