My son and I visited Tri County on Friday, 2/13/2026. They had advertised a Lexus IS 350, VIN # JTHGZ1E25P5030501, Stock # P5030501, for a internet price of $37,994. My son had spoken to a Tricounty employee who said her name was Janis and that the car was available. Another female employee followed up, confirming the appointment and stating the price was negotiable. . In addition, in a text, Janis gave my son directions on where to park at the dealership. We had over an hour drive so we wanted everything sorted out and confirmed before we got there. Upon arrival, we were met by a different salesperson, "Michael" who said the car was in the shop and we would not be able to see it. I asked how it was in the shop when the dealership had already certified it and it was in their lot for almost a month. He kept diverting us to about half a dozen other cars. When we finally said we were only interested in the one, and were were told it was available to see, he told us that there was no "Janis" at the location (Even though she had give us directions on where to park) and they were not responsible for third party conversations on CarGurus. We showed him the specific listing on the Tri County site. At that point, he walked away and we were met by a manager "Fransisco" who again said the car was not at the dealership and there was no room for negotiation. In addition we would need to "activate" the certification which is an additional cost of $4,700. I asked him why this was not disclosed by "Janis" His response was "they are paid to draw people in". Going by other reviews, this dealership engages in click and bait tactics and false advertising on a frequent basis. They are evasive and disingenuous. The worst most corrupt dealership, I have ever experienced. I have filed a complaint with the New Jersey Consumer Protection Bureau and the Federal Trade Commission. More
WORST DEALERSHIP RUN ! ! I wrote a review a few weeks back on how the customer service is horrible at this dealership . My car has had nothing but issues since the day I pu ! My car has had nothing but issues since the day I purchased ( purchased with an airbag recall without being notified of that ) I now am having transmission issues , remote start doesn’t work , door lock issues , remote start does not work amongst other issues . I had an appointment a few weeks back and was told last minute the loaner car would not be available I would have to wait 3 weeks with a check engine light on and maintenance required . These people do not car about their customers ! Once you purchase a car and they get their money that’s all that matters it seems . I have been waiting for a service manger and gm to call me back for weeks and I’m at the end now ! Rich called me back yesterday to tell me they will no longer be “ doing business with me “ due to my negative google review . Well if they did their job maybe the review would be better ! I also have been dealing with cooperate for months but since each dealer is independently owned they haven’t been able to do much other then make a record of all of the issues . RITA IS THE ONLYYYY HELPFUL PERSON AT THIS DEALER AND ONLY ONE WHO STAYS IN TOUCH WHILE TRYING TO HELP ! She is great and nothing at all negative to say about her . Everyone else is terrible . My car has been misdiagnosed multiple times . YOU DONT WANT MY BUSINESS RICH THAT IS FINE BUT NOW YOU LOST 4 Christmas sales to prestige lexus .
