I have been dealing with this dealership since the early 70's and have not found another dealership that compares to the Sales & Service provided at Tri City Subaru. I would recommend this dealership to all of my friends, family and aquaintences. I also find the service to be exceptional and the sales department to be outstanding. They go out of their way to make sure you are 100% satisfied in both areas of the dealership. I give this dealership an A+ rating! More

I was looking for either a Forest I first checked out Tri-City Subaru on the advice of a friend. I got on the web site and checked the vehicles. I was looking for either a Forester or Rav 4. Low and behold I found a used Rav 4 and a Forester I was interested in. I spoke to Salesman Joe Bova. He was very courteous and answered all my questions. He had no idea if I was coming in or not, but he still took his time with me and made sure I had all the information I was looking for. We spoke for almost 20 minutes. At the end of the call I thanked him and he said that if I had any further questions please do not hesitate to call. I did indeed call the next day and set up an appointment to see both cars. When I got to the dealership and met Joe, I was equally pleased (and surprised) that he wasn't like the "typical" car salesman. I was still indecisive on vehicles and he took the time to show me the benefits and advantages of each car compared to the other. He helped me match the correct car for me current needs. I was really impressed by the no pressure approach to purchasing a vehicle. After all was said and done I ended up purchasing the Rav 4. The reason I came down to the dealership was because of the way Joe was on the phone to me. I'm sure that dealers get calls like mine all the time and nothing comes of it and then they feel like they are wasting their time so they are short on discussion and pressure the next buyer because of the same old same old. After meeting Joe and dealing with him, I was just very impressed and knew that I really had an honest dealer. ( not many left) Joe's attitude, knowledge and behavior towards me was the reason I bought this vehicle from Tri-City, as well as researching the dealership. Joe is an asset to your company. As a matter of fact everyone who worked there that I ran into greeted me. What a great atmosphere!!! Other dealerships I called I would not even go to and check out the vehicle because of the way I was spoken to on the phone, because I couldn't guarantee them a visit or test drive. Overall I had a fantastic experience purchasing the vehicle and will have no problem recommending this dealership to others. Please feel free to use any of my statement. Searched vehicles on internet and set up appointment to meet with Marcus. Made appointment for Saturday asked Marcus if I was to ask for him and he replied YES stated he would have selected cars ready and meet with Marcus. Also stated no issues with financing good credit numbers. Arrived on time and asked for Marcus. Steve advised that he doesn't work on Saturdays.....Odd why make appointment? No cars were ready for me to test. Steve did find my file and got cars to test. Ultimately left with no car due to financing issues? Thought it was all set or at least that's what I was told? Drove down the street to Kia of Somersworth found a more expensive SUV with 5.9% financing. Tri-city Subaru the key to a good reputation and return sales is deliver what you tell people, don't BS them through the door. But on a good note kudos to Steve a pleasure to deal with. More
They treated my friend and I like criminals. About a month ago we came in to test drive a BRZ, it's not like they were the only dealer that had one either. We came in with a 370z, so its not like we didn't have the funds or know what we were doing. That shouldn't matter anyway, everyone should be treated like a serious buyer and this dealer treated me like a joke. I went to another dealer the same day, and purchased the same day. Unbelievable the difference in customer service that I got. Not to mention TriCity is just a poor dealership, but the chairs are just sooo uncomfortable. Please invest on something I can sit on, not that I'll be back anytime soon after that experience. More
I had a 2000 Forester that was fine,but being eighty I wanted more comfort and security. For 13 years Tri-City did an excellent job in servicing my 2000. Joey and Sue are fantastic. Working together we found a 2013 Forester with all the" bells and whistles" .Next was the paperwork. Robert Arthur handled everything .Robert made an involved process painless. I had purchased a vehicle from a used car dealership, I had purchased a vehicle from a used car dealership, there, I admit it. That wasn't so bad as the fact that I didn't take the time to researc I had purchased a vehicle from a used car dealership, there, I admit it. That wasn't so bad as the fact that I didn't take the time to research the reviews with this individual and his business, my fault as a consumer. I had the Subaru Forrester 2002 for all of three weeks; each week returning with a new problem. Week three the vehicle became unusable, leaving me in a go no where, heated argument with the owner of the business. I immediately brought it to Tri City Subaru, where I was less then pleasant, and I requested a diagnosis of the car; for I was being blamed for the problems with it. Sue didn't skip a beat; she took my info, took my key, and took the car. Never once being unprofessional, never once being impolite, dare I say, customer service at its finest. I personally work with customers all day long. I try to maintain the mentality of treat of how I would like to be treated, it's not an easy thing to stay calm when the customer in front of you is angry; and lets not forget I didn't buy the car from you! In the end, I received my independent diagnosis, and the lender rescinded the note, the "dealer" took his car back, but only, because Sue took time to deal with me, do her job properly, and provide me with an accurate diagnosis and documentation. In the time that it took for me to resolve my car issue, I lost and entire pay period of 2 weeks. I had to report to my superior every morning to give an update to my status. I can tell you truthfully that while I was explaining my situation, Sue's name and Tri City came up. I was told that the secretary and her husband are customers there, and he loves to deal with Sue. This possibly saved me a second time as my work was not happy with my absence for 2 weeks, but they knew the situation was in capable hands, being Sue's. Sue could have easily given me the cold shoulder, or told me she was too busy, but she didn't. I can't thank her enough either, because aside from the mechanical failure's this car, it had major safety issues. I have three boys, 16, 14, 12, this was family transportation. Her informing me of this is the most important part of the whole review, for the other selling dealership passed it for safety out of their own shop. Sue has a friend for life, whether she wants one or not. Tri City has my respect, and if our financial situation ever clears up and we are able to purchase a new vehicle, we are coming to you. My husband and I stopped in one Sunday after having driven other makes and models. I knew mileage would be very important this time around and having had an AWD I felt that was pretty important living driven other makes and models. His sincerity, laid back manner, and knowledge of the vehicle was impressive. Jim answered all our questions and more.He brought us the keys and told us to take the car out and try it. My husband decided to stay so I got in and left the lot. When I returned I was in love with the vehicle. My husband said to Jim "what should we do?" Jim kind of chuckled and said "whatever you want to do." Right there that sold me not only on the car but Jim as a salesperson. I wanted a color and model that was not on the lot but within a few days he called and said he had found one and it was now at Tri City Suburu. When we went to pick it up he not only was very thorough in going over my new car and all of it's details but he programmed my Bluetooth for me. He did this in a way that even I, a low tech person, could remember and understand. This is why I gave the ratings I did. More
