The Tri-City operations in Somersworth NH originated back in 1965 by Rene Plante. The Subaru franchise was acquired in 1977 and was one of the original Subaru dealers in New England. Rene's sons Roger, Ken, and Steve Plante were involved in the operations from a young age and eventually took over as the second generation of ownership. Representing the third generation of family management is Jordan Plante who joined the operations in 2015 and progressed thru the dealerships to his current role as General Manager. Rene and family always wanted to be more than just a car dealer. They operated the business with many long-term employees, a high level of integrity and community involvement. Rene believed that it was the community that fueled the success of the business and that it was only right to return that with goodwill with community involvement and Tri-City continues to operate with those original philosophies today.

It is very unfortunate to receive this review. Your car was finished and ready to move forward, but we still needed to know when you were coming in to finalize the paperwork and take the car home. Normally your method of payment is verified, and an appointment is scheduled for you to complete your paperwork and take your car home. We finalized neither item with you before you showed up. Even a quick phone call to let us know you were on your way down would have solved all these issues, but in a previous email communication, you wrote, “I. do. no. do. phones.” We had other customers who had scheduled times to pick up their new vehicles, and we needed to take care of them as well. We offered to accommodate you, and you could have waited for a short time while we got your paperwork in order. However, that was obviously not satisfactory to you. I am sorry for the confusion, but your actions were out of line. We have policies in place for refunding deposits to protect money going in and out, and we needed to be sure the funds have cleared before handing over a refund check. The funds have since cleared, and your refund check is in the mail. We will not be doing business with you in the future. Robert Arthur - Operations Manager - 603-742-3647
