The following is the customer experience I have received at Trend Motors in Rockaway NJ. It is not a positive review. After receiving a notice in the mail from Volkswagen regarding an emissions/transmi at Trend Motors in Rockaway NJ. It is not a positive review. After receiving a notice in the mail from Volkswagen regarding an emissions/transmission recall, I scheduled an appointment for November 16, 2020 with Trend Motors in Rockaway (221 Route 46, Rockaway, NJ 07866) where I purchased the vehicle. I received a text message in the morning, welcoming me to Trend Motors and letting me know my car is in service. A little after 3:00 pm, I called Trend Motors for a status update on my car. I was told the server was down and that my car would be completed soon. I called back at 5:00 pm and learned my car was almost finished and someone would let me know when it was ready. I received a call shortly thereafter that the work perform was complete. That evening I picked up the car from service, and when I found the car on the lot, I noticed the driver’s side front tire was very shiny, there was a film over only that tire. On the way home, the tire pressure sensor came on. When I arrived home and opened the rear liftgate, I noticed that the spare tire cover was not seated correctly. This was strange since I had just emptied the contents of the trunk area prior to dropping off the car off for service and know for a fact it was seated properly when I dropped the car off. On November 17th, in the light of day, I checked all 4 tires and the front drivers side tire was low on air. While filling the tire with air I noticed that the front drivers side tire was different than the other 3 tires on the car. The tread was deeper and the date code was different. The front drivers side tire was not original to the car. I drove to Trend Motors and John Linstrom, Fixed Operations Manager, agreed to look into the issue. John brought out a paper file and started to tell us he found the notes and would praise his tech for the way it was handled. The tech had “pinched’ the tire and paid for the replacement out of his own pocket. Having previously worked in a dealership, I know that is not the case and certainly isn’t the customers problem. John went on to further emphasize that I now have a new tire. I am a certified mechanic and have worked on cars my entire life. Because the car is four-wheel drive there is a drivability issue with replacing only one (1) tire at 25,090 miles . SO BASICALLY THE CAN DAMAGE CAR AND NOT TELL YOU, LIABILITY ISSUE HUMMMM A LAWYER WOULD THINK DIFFERENTLY Sadly, this is not the first time I have taken the care to Trend Motors and been deceived or dissatisfied with the service. Shortly after purchasing the car, I brought the car into Trend Motors for irregular rotor wear at approximately 2,000 miles. The rotors were glazed and scored. I was told this was normal wear for that year and model but that a note of my concern would be added to my file. WHICH WAS NOT ADDED On May 19, 2020 I brought the car in because the rear driver’s side window was not functioning. I was told there was nothing wrong. That same evening, I arrived at Trend Motors, obtained the paperwork and key, located the car on the lot with the windows down and hood unlatched. Within 2 days the window malfunctioned again this time stuck in the down position. I found the Molex plug between the door frame and the body was not completely snapped together causing the malfunction. I was able to fix this easily and quickly repair. GREAT TECHS I THINK NOT On another occasion, I brought the car in for an oil change and tire rotation. When I picked up the car, I learned that the tire rotation was not performed. The tech stated it wasn’t needed. I requested the work regardless of the recommendations outlined by Volkswagon and yet no call or discussion, just not completed. TECH DID NOT WANT TO PERFORM John Lindstrom offered me a tire to replace the other side, however I have significate concerns about the integrity of the first tire and no confidence the second tire will be any better. Lack of quality from the service department is a pattern at Trend Motors, but the latest act, being lied to and deceived, is something I cannot look past. Generally I would recommend Volkswagen to anyone looking for a new car, but after the way I have been treated by Trend Motors, I will think twice before making that recommendation again BUY HERE, SERVICE ELSEWHERE More

They were professional, honest and courteous and did all they could to secure us a good deal (best pricing out of all VW Dealerships we visited in Northern NJ). Arranged to pick up the car Friday at 9am car and paper work was ready when I came in due to the insurance snafu on my part it took a little longer to get everything done. Overall really good sale. Service department is top notch as Had to use it on my previous VW no issues. More
