I sent an email to the keeper of the Pearly Gates to admit Scott McElveen upon his request. This is only partial payment for what I put this young 1st class professional thru. I'm sure he feels like h admit Scott McElveen upon his request. This is only partial payment for what I put this young 1st class professional thru. I'm sure he feels like he's been to xxxx and back after dealing with this cranky old man. After purchasing automobiles for the past 60+ years, one becomes a little jaded when walking into a dealership. Scott greeted my wife and me with a genuine smile on his face. I asked for a couple of brochures and left wanting to visit other stores. After 2 - 3 weeks we were back and there was Scott with his smile. Then we got down to business, picking the model Lexus we lusted over. Scott with NO (0) pressure stayed with us during this time until we finally found the right auto. During this period, I believe we met the entire management team. Everyone was candid, honest, straight forward and a pleasure to do business with. You asked a question and received a straight answer. Al considered, this was a enjoyable experience, one of the better ones in my years of buying autos. I can recommend this dealership as a friendly, no pressure, honest place to shop. After this long discretion, I wish Scott continuing success. He is the consummate sales gentleman; I didn't receive a incentive of any kind for this critique. thi More

From the moment I stepped out of the car I was trading in. I caught the eye of one of the most complete sales professionals I have ever met. I have bought over 8 cars locally in the past 20 years and Ra in. I caught the eye of one of the most complete sales professionals I have ever met. I have bought over 8 cars locally in the past 20 years and Randy Nichols in my opinion is 1 of the top three I can remember, Of the other two on that short list one has retired so there will be a contest to see which of the two sell me my next car! Randy met me with a smile and a lot of product knowledge. I had been 4 other dealerships the day before. I saw the car and Randy was obviously walking the other direction when I caught him looking up and motioned for him to ask a question. Little did he know I had my existing car cleaned and ready to buy something, somewhere that day. He showed me a NX 300 which suited my needs perfectly from the certified pre-owned section and the deal was made in less that 45 minutes. He got top dollar for my trade, I wired the money and they processed my papers while I waited in the super nice cafe lounge. The owner of the company came by and said hello. More

Sadly, this is the worst dealership experience we have ever had and the first bad one in 45 years, across 9 states. When Mark first arrived with the 2011 Ford Explorer Limited, he seemed VERY personable, ever had and the first bad one in 45 years, across 9 states. When Mark first arrived with the 2011 Ford Explorer Limited, he seemed VERY personable, friendly, and spoke with confidence. Little did we know that within minutes of leaving the dealership, just days after having seen the car and deciding (in part because of Mark's assurances and promises!), we would be so disillusioned, disappointed, and vow not to buy our new Lexus from this dealership in a few weeks, as was the original plan. Mark told us that he had been with the dealership for years. After the sale, he told us in a text, for the first time ever, that he was "bran new." Mark told us (more than once), when my husband asked about the inspections and/or service that his dealership does to used cars berfore selling them, "We go through an EXTENSIVE safety and service inspection, oil and filter is changed, all the fluids, and more, AFTER ALL, REMEMBER YOU'RE BUYING FROM A LEXUS DEALERSHIP NOT SOME USED CAR LOT!" After the sale, when we politely requested the list he had promised us, showing what was done to our vehicle (because as my husband explained, there's no sense in paying to do things again that were just done), Mark then said there is no inspection. We respectfully questioned his having told us several times that the oil and filter were changed, he said, "I'm brand new here and made a mistake!" NOTHING WAS DONE TO THIS CAR. In fact, as we were leaving the dealership, we noticed the front right tire was nearly flat. It got washed and no one noticed this? While the car was here for us to see and test drive, days before our purchase, we pointed out the broken windshield moldings. We explained that these look to be an expensive fix. Mark went out of his way to assure us that it was "NO BIG DEAL AT ALL, IT'S JUST A PLASTIC COVER!" He later said he discounted the car $60 and I even showed him the part on the internet was $110 but when we spoke we explained that the parts under it would have to be replaced as well since the pins would break as they are not designed for reuse. WE SPENT $500 TO HAVE THESE REPAIRED! Mark also told us, when my husband asked, "YES, I can't tell you exactly the details or how many miles or days but we definitely have some kind of warranty on it too. Remember, you're buying from a Lexus dealership!" Well, when we arrived to sign the papers and pay for the car, there was only an "AS IS" form and Mark now denied having told us there was DEFINITELY a warranty. Since we bought the car, the moldings had to be repaired because the one MARK SAW literally blew off in traffic! The windshield wipers would not turn off and that resulted in replacing the wiper switch for $250. The back up camera doesn't work but did for a minute while Mark showed us the car before an error that read "Camera not available call your dealership." When we asked him about this, he said, "Don't worry, we'll have that checked out. It looks like it's working so maybe they just need to clear it out with the computer or something." WRONG! This car should be called a "B.O.A.T" for "Bust Out Another Thousand." Finally, the FIASCO that was us getting GOUGED a WHOPPING $749 for a Florida tag! We could have transfered our Texas tags for $2.50!!!! Most dealerships do outsource the tag/title/registration but NEVER have we seen a fee higher than $150 to $200. Mark LIED to us and said he paid $500 for a new Florida tag. We called the DMV. It's $225. Again, we were gouged at $749! There are other things that we have discussed were grossly misrepresented and ironically a neighbor had been sitting out on his patio and over heard most of Mark's "pitch!" He seemed like a decent man and we're the fools who are paying for our mistake in A) believing that it would make a difference purchasing from your Lexus dealership rather than a person on Craigslist and B) for having trusted that Mark was being candid and upfront with us. We NEVER expected there would be ZERO accountability! This car has cost us several thousand dollars since leaving the lot and THAT is just NOT GOOD BUSINESS! We realize we signed and have been rudely reminded of this. The fact remains, we were done wrong and this particular Lexus dealership has put a black eye on the reputation of this brand even though we didn't buy our Lexus there. We bought this used car as a second car and workhorse. We had planned on PAYING CASH for a Lexus sedan in a few weeks. We're now looking elsewhere and don't even want the brand any longer. What a shame. More

He then ASSURED us he would send us the "list of everything that was done and inspected!" By the way,l the ad for this particular car CLEARLY shows that "All maintenance is up to date" and yet there's no record of anything being done as even the CarFax doesn't show a recent oil change or any service for that matter.
