Chris Benoit was our sales professional and to work with him personally was so peaceful and tranquil that I found it hard for me and my wife to want to leave the dealership once we signed our papers. Chris's highly educated and humble service touch our hearts; especially when he was genuine enough to point out any little imperfections of the vehicle before we test drove it. This small gesture is such a rarity factor in an industry where unfortunately trust is always questionable amongst car deals. Clay Lecompte, our Finance Manager, treated us like a family at a sit down dinner instead of just another client signing their financial papers away. Kudos to the lucky sales manager and dealership owner to have these two serving individuals on their staff. To title Chris as a sales professional and Clay as a finance manager would be an insult..they should be awarded the title of "Customer Professional" and "Financial Friend." Thanks guys for the most pleasant transaction and best deal we have ever experienced in our car buying lives! More

He was very receptive to our wants and patient in dealing with us while we looked at our options. We ended up ordering our 2012 Traverse LTZ and the morning after it was delivered from the factory we met with Al to complete the deal. It was a good experience and I had no regrets. Fast forward 3 years and I was in the market for Diesel Cruze and went talk to Al and Kenneth again. It took Al a few minutes to find the car since it was tucked away in a remote corner of the lot. I took it for a drive and decided to take it home. Again the deal was smooth and he even pointed out a couple of discounts that I was eligible for that I was unaware of. Tommy Benoit did the paperwork and in just a few hours i was the new owner of a Diesel Cruze that gets 47+ mpg on the highway. More

I am sick of This is by far the worst service at ANY business I have ever received! The workers are incompetent and can't even return a phone call... I am sick of them playing dumb when I speak to them. The service manager called me and left a message yesterday (after a second bad review was written by my boyfriend and myself on fb). I called back less than an hour later... Of course was directed to leave a message and STILL a day later have not received a call. My message was left at 11:00... Do you mean to tell me you can't make a call back from lunch time to the end of the day?? RIDICULOUS!!!! I have never been so infuriated with a company. I've had a cracked car screen for 4 months now! I went the day after it happened due to the heat causing the liquid to expand and they said it would be in to replace in 4-5 weeks... Still waiting nearly 20 weeks later!!! DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE! Unfortunately it is my nearest service department but it's almost worth a trip to Baton Rouge or New Orleans at this point for me to get service. More

For starters the initial sales rep the receptionist assigned me to wouldn't even get up from his desk and greet me, instead (with hand gestures) signaled me to have a seat. I turned back to the receptionist and politely asked to be assigned a different sales person. The second sales person I was assigned to (Keith) was awesome! He did the leg work and took me out to do a vehicle comparison, we test drove a very nice LTZ and I was very happy and ready to purchase and Keith was ready to order. I didn't want to trade in my 2013 TSX, the Silvarado would just be a second vehicle but I agreed to get an appraisal anyway. I once again changed my mind and drove over the the dealership next door to let Keith know that I was just going to trade my TSX in for a TLX and an appraisal would not be necessary but when I got to the dealership next door he was gone but his coworker phoned him for me. As I was driving back to the Trapp dealership I passed a sales rep that stated, "wrong way xxxxxxx". I stopped and asked what he'd said and he stated (after recognizing me), "I said you were going the wrong way". I replied, 'no you said wrong way xxxxxxx'. Trapp is redoing their parking lot so it's a bit confusing, I actually didn't know I was going the wrong way. I backed up and went around the proper way and I explained to Keith that I could not do business with their dealership and that if they'd treat a prospecting customer in that manner they'd treat a current customer even worse, I also spoke with Ray to explain this. I will not drop 50k on a vehicle with such unfriendly customer service. More

He shared what he knew and did not hide any condition on the truck that I purchased. He even told me where slight imperfections were that I had not noticed on the vehicle. Additionally, there detail department needs to be commended as the truck was really cleaned, not just what you see but also what is behind and underneath what you see. It was worth the drive to Houma. More
Sales Managers and the lies they tell I made a complaint about Trapp Chevrolet in August 2014. The sales Manager Randy Bourg called me and practically beg me to write a good review after he assured me he had taken care of the problem. He also told me he would refund me for a full tank of gas if I would write another survey. He had the Marketing Mgr (KIM) to send me another survey and upon him receiving the updated survey, he would honor the free gas that he begged me to take. It has been 3 weeks since the updated survey, I have called him numerous times and he has yet to comply with what he called my phone several times to "make right" . These people would do anything for good survey, However, they forgot i can turn to social media. I would NEVER EVER PURCHASE A VEHICLE WITH THIS DEALERSHIP EVERRRRRRR . More
Hard Sale take Two! Have you ever met someone and things just didn't seem to click? Now don't get me wrong, most of the time it's no ones fault. This was my experience wi Have you ever met someone and things just didn't seem to click? Now don't get me wrong, most of the time it's no ones fault. This was my experience with Trapp. While looking for a used car for my wife, I scrolled onto Trapp of Houma LA dealership to review their inventory. This wasn't my first time dealing with Trapp my wife purchase a vehicle from them a few years ago and I was hoping to do the same. Before I get into my story, let me warn you. I am not a easy person to please and while quite and polite on the outside I'm very calculated and observant on the inside. Having said that, I visit the dealership after doing research online for a few months, I had settle on two suvs, the Cadillac Escalade and Lincoln Navigator. My first day at the dealership the salesmen showed me a Escalade and then ran my credit, the usual stuff, the regular business. After running my credit ( a hour later sitting by myself). I was told my credit score was low and I needed to put down a large down payment. The salesmen than told me he would have a finance specialist call me the next day, to see if something could worked out. That next day never came, I was the one emailing and calling the dealership days after my first visit to inquire about the deal. Finally the salesmen replied back to me, giving me the same news. I would need a large down payment and the car would be finance with high interest rates. Needless to say I was not prepared to make that deal. I told the dealer I would revisited the issue after I receive my income taxes. As I stated I am a calculated person. Here is what the dealer didn't know. He didn't know that my I knew what my credit score was, since I had paid for them in advance. He didn't know that I had already dedicated my tax return to the purchasing of a vehicle, which would be a large amount to keep my notes down. He didn't allow me to explain that my score would be probably seem low but it was incorrect. He didn't know I had a dispute with my mortgage that affect my score, however in the folder I carried was a letter from my mortgage vowing to clean up my credit since the dispute was resolve. He didn't know that I was already approve by four other dealerships all waiting on me to return with my taxes. These unknown could have only been realized through conversation. The other dealers called me non-stop making a effort to keep up to date with me and gather new information, they made me feel as if they really wanted to put me in a car no matter what. In hind sight the dealer at Trapp did nothing wrong, he wasn't rude or impolite. I just felt he was missing that drive or passion, I didn't feel he was going the extra mile. I placed myself in his place knowing there's a limited amount of time in the day and your pay depends on what you sale. If the first few banks denied a person and he don't have a down payment at the time I probably would have brushed him off too. However with a little more effort and research he would have discovery why I had chosen Trapp. I pick them because my wife purchase from them, my father, my Uncle Henry and a personal friend from church. I was connected to four of their pasted customers, I figure that alone would have warranted another look at my file. A month after my first visit I was ready to purchase. I Visited all the dealerships inventory online again and discovery none had a car to fit my needs, except Trapp. By this time the Escalade was gone but there was a Navigator on the lot that caught my eye. After doing my research I once again visited Trapp. Since the salesmen name was on file for me I decided to give him another chance. So here I was check book in hand ready to test drive the navigator I was met with more waiting, the sale person assign to me had left for lunch. So Here I was standing outside by the car with a different salesmen. I must say even though I wasn't his customer he took care of me, while I waited. He showed me the ends and out of the car and took me for a test drive, instantly I was in love with the the vehicle and had to have it. The salesmen waited with me the whole time, talking bout friends, politics and family( all of my favorite subjects I might add). This went on until my first salesmen returned. So here we were again I had a check and I was prepared to write, anything to get the Navigator. But now I was being told I need more proof of income ect and that He couldn't help until the fiance guy come in. I couldn't believe it, he had the same information from the first time when I applied for the Escalade, what had change? Needless to say I was tick off a little bit. When Monday came I was done playing around and went straight to the special man, Tommy Benoit Finance Manager. It was Tommy who sold my wife her first car from Trapp, he was just a salesmen back than but now he was in management. I explain to Tommy what I wanted, he told me what I needed and by that afternoon, he had me approved and next day I drove off in a 2008 Lincoln Navigator. Tommy Benoit was so good he reviewed my credit and was able to catch where my bank had revised my mortgage payments. I was able to place a lower down-payment down then projected on the Escalade and my project note was lowered by 110.00 . Tommy not only lower my note and projected down-payment, but he cut the interest rate by more than half. All of this happen because he was motivated to place me in a car and he allowed me to share what I wanted. Because Tommy wanted to see me happy he went the extra mile to do what was best for me. So maybe me and my first dealer didn't connect, Tommy more than made up for it. The only disappointment I had in the end, was the Gas tank was not filled. I also thought he could have offered me a year or six month subscription to sirus radio. Maybe after someone read this I will receive a call on tomorrow. (hint , hint ). Thank you Tommy, they should place a statue of you in the front of the building. More
My Cadillac was taken here because car was stalling while driving. The tech. at location stated that there was water on the fuel rail and also changed a fuel filter. 2 days later car is doing same exact thin driving. The tech. at location stated that there was water on the fuel rail and also changed a fuel filter. 2 days later car is doing same exact thing is was doing before. Charged over $300.00 dollars. Car could not be driven back to Trapp and was brought to another dealer closer to home. Found out car was low on oil. and need a couple of quarts of oil. My issue with Trapp is did his mechanic even check the oil dip stick or let my car sit a cool off and call me after tell me it was ready and fixed . That is poor service and poor customer relations.
