The person in the I came in for an oil change. There was a three hour wait so I said I'd come back the next day. The oil change light kept coming on. The person in the shop said they could clear it and they did. The problem was, when I got home(15 min away) the radio wouldn't shut off even when you weren't in the car. The windows also could be used even after the engine was shut off and you were out of the car for periods of time. So I got in the car and went back. After about 10 minutes someone came out and then after another 10 minutes came out and had a guy come out and took the car. No one said where to wait, so there I was standing in the lot. Went inside and sat down in the waiting area. After about an hour(give or take, I watched a nice old Charlie's Angels Episode). Finally, someone came out and said it was ready. They pointed to the lot and said it was out to the right. I would say there were some good associates and some not so much. I was disappointed by the fact I had to go back and have the car reset. Took a lot longer time then it ever should have, not to mention gas. Can not believe there was a 3 hour wait for oil changes. Oil changes at Basil Chevy was fast. The longest I ever waited was 1/2 hour. Also, since people have to wait so long, would it kill you to have some kind of beverage available and some snacks like Basil Chevy? Disappointed all around so far. Do not mean to sound just not satisfied at all. There was a nice woman the nest day that really was great. Friendly and courteous. She kind of made me feel better about the night before. More

I had the appointment to have the transmission looked at. When I dropped it off in the morning, I had asked them to looked at my air conditioner while it was there. Well long story short I was told at the end of the day when they called me at 4:30 they didn’t have time to look at the AC, really you had the car the entire day? If you knew you couldn’t do it you should’ve told me in the morning. Very disappointing. More
? Chrysler Dodge commit 2 cuts, but good rev from Transitown Defective Pass side heat/AC actuator door, was subject to a limited NTSB recall by VIN, did not cover mine. Extended period for repair missed by a fe Defective Pass side heat/AC actuator door, was subject to a limited NTSB recall by VIN, did not cover mine. Extended period for repair missed by a few months & miles. This was an issue prior to the 3year 36k miles that when taken in for serviced was working fine, so nothing was done at the time. It has been an on again off again defect, working for a while then not for a few days back and forth for past three years. Now totally not working. Transitown fixed it, but advised out of warranty and extended warranty. Previous contact with FCA customer care center got NO callback from corporate rep. I have been driving Grand Voyagers & Grand Caravans for nearly 30 years. Very disappointed with the lack of response from Corporate to my concerns! Possibly the last FCA vehicle for me as corporate has shown that it does not even care about the customer. More
Unknown metal noise repair I brought my Jeep in to have it looked at as there was a metal clanking noise coming from the front drivers side. The best way to describe it was soup I brought my Jeep in to have it looked at as there was a metal clanking noise coming from the front drivers side. The best way to describe it was soup cans being dragged along and I couldn’t identify a specific time that it was happening (accelerating, breaking, turning, etc). I left the car there as they were unsure how long it would take and when they called me to update after the diagnostic, they said there was nothing wrong. I was told the mechanic could not hear any metal clanking and the noise I was hearing was probably a “lipstick in my door”. They said nothing was wrong and it was safe to drive, nothing loose, nothing broken, suspension was fine everyone seemed okay. However when I picked the car up I heard the noise while leaving. :( I ended up taking it to my usual mechanic (out of convenience of not driving to Rochester I brought it to transittowne). He was able to quickly see it was in fact a loose heat shield and fixed the problem within 10 minutes of having the car. now my car is fixed and doesn’t make any noise but I was unfortunately inconvenienced twice, and my mom was inconvenienced as well as I had to borrow her car while I left mine in Rochester to come back to work in Buffalo. I did check yes for recommending only because the process of getting an appointment and the shuttle service were all very easy and accommodating and all of the individuals I dealt with were friendly and welcoming. I would have considered bringing my car back had I not been told it was probably just a lipstick in the door and that there was no noise happening and nothing was seen as broken. More

never buying from them - EVER On Thursday, May 30, 2019 I made an appointment with Transitowne Dodge of Williamsville (7408 Transit Rd Williamsville, NY 14221), to test drive a 20 On Thursday, May 30, 2019 I made an appointment with Transitowne Dodge of Williamsville (7408 Transit Rd Williamsville, NY 14221), to test drive a 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan I found listed on their website. I was told it was available and schedule the test drive that day. Got there to be told the car I wanted to try had been sold "shortly before I got there". That should have been my first clue. But I met with a salesman and we talked and arranged for a different newer version. I expressed concern as the van, being a 2016, had a sticker price well over what I said I could afford after taxes and fees. The Salesman, Dan Mayr, told me that being the last two days of the month, he had to sell 5 cars to meet quota and he'd haggle the price for me while I test drove it. I test drove it and, after getting the price down to affordable, I wrote a down payment check and signed the purchasing agreement. THEN, only after signing the agreement, I was told they didn't have the title from the state yet but should have it by Monday. I was a bit taken aback but agreed as I had to finalize the loan and insurance. I called on Tuesday the 4th because I didn't hear anything and was confirming the agreed upon pickup for the next day. That was when I was told that they had just called the auction company (not the state that I had been lead to believe) and that the title just went into the mail that day. Did I really just get sold a car they have no proof of ownership on? The Wednesday after I signed the purchasing agreement and put a down payment on and I got told, by text - not a phone call, that they still have not gotten confirmation that the title in on it's way to them. I made a ton of a calls to change loan and insurance paperwork to Friday, which they said "we should have it by then". Thursday (one week from the start), I read the Car Fax deeper... this dealership has had the van for TWO MONTHS and still do not have a title. I texted my sales guy about the car. Basically asking where things were and laying it on the line that I expected to pick the car up the next day or I was canceling my purchase and requiring my deposit returned. So, less than two minutes after I send the text, the sales manager, Marc, calls me. Not the sales guy, but the manager. Apologizing saying they are at the mercy of the place they bought it from, he's got his guys all over it. I'm like, "you sold me a car you don't have proof of ownership yet. You cashed me deposit check and I still do not have a car. I checked, Car Fax says you've had this vehicle for TWO MONTHS. Why did you offer it for sale if you could not let it drive off the lot after TWO MONTHS?!? And I'm upset because I wasn't told you didn't have title until AFTER I signed the purchasing agreement." He offers to refund me my deposit regardless if I take the car or not. I told him I want the title or we are done. I cannot go any longer without a reliable car. He then gave me the "we have thousands of satisfied customers blah blah blah". To which I responded He did agree at least that they are the ones who messed up and he even said that he would pull the listing (should I not buy it) until they have title as he doesn't want another upset customer yelling at him. For the record, I never raised my voice. Friday, the 7th, I call in the morning and ask if they have confirmation they will have title that day. When told no, I inform them that i wish to cancel the purchase. I requested a copy of the voided purchasing agreement (which they were hesitant to do but finally agreed and faxed it to me) and my deposit, which I had given in good faith, returned. Meanwhile I had to return the loan check I had received, and had to pay almost $20 in interest on a car loan for a car I never got. Saturday, I text Marc asking what time I could pick up the refund check and he tells me he cannot get it until Monday the 10th. On Monday, he texts me again saying they have no proof that they cashed my deposit check and until they do, they will not refund my deposit. I immediately send them copies of the cancelled check and a redacted bank statement showing the check was deposited and cleared. Reluctantly they agreed to refund me that day. I told them I would be in at 12:30 for it and they agreed. When I got there just after 12:30, the check was not ready and I had to still wait for it and I was treated rather coolly when I was talked to at all. Once I got the check, I immediately took it to the bank it was drawn on to cash to ensure that my money would not be held up any further. I am not at all please with how I was treated by Transitowne, and find the idea of them trying to sell me a car that they have had for over 2 months but have no title to be dodgy at best. I have shared this story on social media and to all my friends who have all said they would never go to Transitowne Dodge (or any other Transitowne dealership) after my experience and many have said they would even question going to any Dodge dealership if this is the way Authorized Dodge dealers treat their customers.
