I called Trailer Source Inc. in Longmont, Colorado, asking if they would handle the warranty repairs for us even though we had not purchased the RV from them and was told that, yes, they would do the warranty work. They contacted Winnebago and got approval to move forward with the repairs, and an appointment was made. When they trailer was taken in for the appointment, we were told that there should be no issue in having all the repairs completed within the next three weeks in time for a trip we had scheduled. After one week, I reached out to see how things were going and was told they were waiting on parts but that the time frame for repairs still looked good. Week two, I reached out and was told the same thing. I asked what repairs had been completed and was told none but that the tech had looked at everything and would start on the repairs soon. Week three, same. I called the day the trailer was to be picked up and was told that none of the repairs had been made. I went to the dealership and spoke to a service manager who told me that the dealership never should have taken in the trailer for repairs. He said it was their company policy that they did not do warranty work on trailers that were not purchased from them, and he said they would not be completing the repairs. In disbelief, I explained how they had filed the claim, received approval, made an appointment, and kept the trailer for three weeks. I asked why I wasn’t ever told that they would not be doing the work. He repeated their company policy and stated that the person I first spoke to was new and made a mistake. I think the “right” thing for a decent business to do would have been to complete the work they had agreed to. This is not a company that I will do any business with in the future. More
Too long for repair, left things torn a part Took my Minnie Winnie in 6 weeks ago for slide out repair. I even provided the main part. Called after 4 weeks was told it was done. Showed up and Took my Minnie Winnie in 6 weeks ago for slide out repair. I even provided the main part. Called after 4 weeks was told it was done. Showed up and the work was not completed (waiting on parts, slide top cover and seals, which if I would have ordered would have come in 5 days or less not 4 weeks). Explained I needed the RV in two weeks to move. Called 10 days before I needed the RV back. Was told I was next on the list. Called 3 days before I needed the RV back, told I was next on the list. Called the day I needed the RV back, told I was next on the list and it would not be ready until the following week. 6 weeks to replace a slide out ram, top cover and seals which they seemingly could not complete in that time frame. If I wanted horrible customer service I would have taken it to Camping World. Left thing apart inside the RV and grease stains on my passenger seat The only reason they get 1 star is because they didn't charge me for the generator service I had already declined which the gas line was still disconnected. Too bad for them. I'm the worst customer you want to xxxx off as I am a resort owner who will not be recommending Trailer Source to any of my customers. More
