I was first assured everything was O.K., and no action was taken, other than apparently a visual inspection. When it became obvious later that everything was not O.K., I contacted Karen by email on a Friday morning. She responded immediately and set up an appointment with the master technician to check it out. She also rode in the car with me and the technician during the test drive at which time the problem was identified and later confirmed by a thorough inspection. She personally oversaw the repairs, and assumed full responsibility for the previous oversight by the technician(s). I have never seen this kind of professionalism in auto industry or any other industry for that matter. She is definitely a valuable asset to the service department. Without her intervention, my ratings would have been much lower. More
This is a very unprofessional dealership if you have an issue with your vehicle - you are deemed responsible and they will fight you tooth and nail to prove so which is usually ridiculous claims becasue th issue with your vehicle - you are deemed responsible and they will fight you tooth and nail to prove so which is usually ridiculous claims becasue they hope that you are UN-knowledgeable about your vehicle... before they are forced to give in and this is even when it is under warranty or you paid for extended warranties ect...Once you buy a vehicle they forget who you are and throw you to these wolves in the service den. Watch out and pray you don't have an issue! More
Brought in '92 prius after son hit a tree. Casey was wonderful. The only thing that I was confused about was why the broken rearview mirror wasn't included in repair. It was overlooked and now we have to bring it in somewhere to have it replaced. That's a pain in the neck. Casey brought the car over to a partner who does body work for an estimate on a small corner that was broken but they want to replace the entire bumper. I would like Toyota to have a body shop partner who would be willing to do patch type work as now we are left to patch it on our own. Another pain. Overall Toyota was great however. More
This is the third car that I have purchased from Toyota of Wallingford and all my experiences have been very good. At present I drive the Highlander and I've never had an issue that I thought would not be of Wallingford and all my experiences have been very good. At present I drive the Highlander and I've never had an issue that I thought would not be handled to my satisfaction - and they have never disappointed me. I live several miles away in Wethersfield and there are several other dealerships closer to me, but I have such a very high comfort level with Toyota of Wallingford that I believe going there is worth the sacrifice. Katie Hunter is the service advisor that I deal with exclusively and as long as I have that option, it will continue to be that way. I am a very satisfied customer. More

I was seven days without my truck, but Casey called me with an update every day. I work in retail, so I know what it's like to hear people complain and praise for good service. Sometimes it's not easy to make everyone happy. Today I praise the service department of Toyota of Wallingford . I will be back for a car when I am ready, and I will recommend to family and friends. At approximately 9:15 am 4 Sep 2013, while driving, an erratic instrument cluster readout, and transmission hunting , ending with ''check engine" indicator but with the problem having, apparently, otherwi erratic instrument cluster readout, and transmission hunting , ending with ''check engine" indicator but with the problem having, apparently, otherwise resolved itself after 5 miles of further driving, required prompt analysis and correction on my 2012 Tacoma showing 8740 miles. "Laurie" courteously took my call around 10:15 am, and indicated the shop had the capability to look at the problem that day . I dropped off the vehicle at around 10:45 : Mr. Olson was almost immediately able to fit this unplanned visit into the busy shop schedule , had the problem (rodent had gnawed insulation from electrical cables in both rear headlights) pinpointed by your mechanics at around noon, and advised the vehicle would likely be ready around 3:00 pm. I left, and on my return around 4:00pm , the problem had been corrected . Another good customer experience . Thank you all, Charles ingold. More
Though this dealer is 30 miles away from my home and I purchased my Toyota at a different dealer, I had an issue with my vehicle that left it disabled on the highway and Toyota of Wallingford was the clos purchased my Toyota at a different dealer, I had an issue with my vehicle that left it disabled on the highway and Toyota of Wallingford was the closest Toyota dealer. I had it towed there late on a Saturday afternoon, and though it was past their service hours, the showroom staff were more than happy to assist. They provided me a Early Bird service envelope that I filled out with a description of what happened and left it with the dealer. I got a call early Monday morning from Katey and she explained the two recall items on the car and the diagnostic charge (which would we applied to any repair work done) and told me she would let me know. She called later that day to tell me the part for one of the recall items would be in tomorrow, and since the vehicle was inoperable there was little they could do until that was replaced. About 1pm on Tuesday I had not yet heard from them so I was at their website and initiated a "live chat" asking what the status of the vehicle was. The rep I spoke to relayed my question and contact info to the service manager, Karen, who emailed me promptly and explained the parts delivery only came in at noon. She let me know they were going to complete the recall work and Katey would call and let me know the status after that. Not too long later, Katey called to let me know that the recall work had been completed and the car was now working fine. I went down after work to pick it up and since it was a recall related repair, no charge at all. Great customer service all around from the sales to service staff and even the internet agent(s), a rare commodity, especially among 'big box' car dealerships. Though I am 30 miles away I would definitely consider doing business with them again, highly recommended. A++ More
