I choose to get my car serviced at the dealership because I understand the importance of vehicle maintanence and I plan on keeping my car. However I do not like that fact that I feel pressure and upsell on i I understand the importance of vehicle maintanence and I plan on keeping my car. However I do not like that fact that I feel pressure and upsell on items that are not necessary at the time. I was there yesterday and thought I opted in for one service and was charged for the one I didn’t want done. I didn’t realize until I looked at the bill when I got home. So many were presented to me at one time it was a bit overwhelming and confusing. I also did further research and one of the services that usually takes place at 50,000 miles, I was getting told it was essential at 35,000. Even the tech working on my car admitted he did his at 50,000 miles. He was at the service desk when I went up to ask why it was taking an hour for a tire rotation. Some of the service writers do not cause unwanted pressure but some do. Moving forward Im going to start asking for the one I am most comfortable with and if he is working the day of my service. Or I’ll just start getting my car serviced at the Vineland location where I bought it. More
