DO NOT RECOMMED, MY VEHICLE WAS DAMAGED DURING OIL CHANGE VISIT Last Friday, May 26th, 2023; I brought my 2010 Toyota Highlander in for a routine oil and filter change and they damaged my SUV. Ahead of time VISIT Last Friday, May 26th, 2023; I brought my 2010 Toyota Highlander in for a routine oil and filter change and they damaged my SUV. Ahead of time, I told the service advisor in charge, Josh Hishmeh, that I was only bringing my car in for this specific routine service maintenance (oil change and filter replacement) and that I did not want any kind of inspection on my car, which did not need any repair or diagnosis. He didn't even have the chance to propose the inspection of my car because I clearly specified what I was there for just change the oil and filter. I prefer do not go into much about the inconvenience of waiting process in detail, but I cannot ignore that the first call I received, more than 2 hours after being there, was precisely to give me the diagnosis that I had rejected in my first contact with the advisor. Their multi-point inspection that they arbitrarily performed yielded costs $2,990.03. Armed with patience, I repeated to advisor for the second time that I had only come for an oil change. What can I think? Shameless or deaf? Of course I know my vehicle, I am up to date with its maintenance, taking proper care of it, and have a highly trusted mechanic on hand for any repairs. I have always been very careful with my safety and my family’s, and I never drive a car with mechanical problems. It's just that, for many years, I was a car salesman and I had heard multiple complaints about some of these places, although I am patient and try to understand that they need to make money, but exceeded the limits and went over the top and gone over the edge. After received my car I went home and parked my car till next day. Very disappointed, this has never happened to me, all parking floor got stained by my car oil fluid. I called my mechanic to see what was going on, and I become so frustrated. My SUV presents a constant oil leaking. I have to protect the asphalt in my parking lot with a bowl while I wait until Wednesday, June 7th when my car mechanic will start fixing it. I have to spend $1500.00 for parts and labor to get started. I really wish this can be the real total of the whole damages provoked by my nightmare experience with Tampa bay service department, as I don't even have this much but I need my car ready to get to work. What do you think? Where do these people think we get our money? I have to say that this is my second time in the service department of this Toyota dealer, since a few months ago I took my son's Camry for an oil change too, at least that time they followed my will to do only what we asked. I don't know what happened to me this time, and I regret it a lot, since I had always taken my cars to the service department of Stadium Toyota, where I think they have greater respect for the client, for the reputation of the company and the work they do. On 06/09/23- I would like to know if they really did the oil change. My mechanic showed me the black oil that came out when he was fixing my car. I also have the pictures. I can be a woman, Hispanic immigrant but I am also smart and I went to college as well. More
