I had hoped that Toyota of Surprise would address the issues outlined below, allowing me to provide a positive review; however, this was not the case. Despite my efforts to resolve these issues directly issues outlined below, allowing me to provide a positive review; however, this was not the case. Despite my efforts to resolve these issues directly with the dealership, the situation has unfortunately not improved. On July 17, 2024, I purchased a new Toyota Highlander from Toyota of Surprise. Although my initial interaction with Kim was pleasant, I encountered several problems. Kim, while friendly, lacked comprehensive knowledge about the vehicles. I specifically requested a Toyota Highlander XLE AWD with a tow package. Kim showed me a 2024 Toyota Highlander XLE and assured me it met all criteria except for the tow package, suggesting it could be added later. However, it appears Kim misunderstood the vehicle’s features, as the vehicle I purchased is front-wheel drive, not all-wheel drive. She misunderstood the “snow” button as indicative of all-wheel drive (photo attached). It was only when my father visited that he informed me I had been taken advantage of. Additionally, I was advised to take my cargo cover from my old vehicle, under the impression it would fit the new one. It did not, and I later discovered that the new vehicle already came with a cargo cover, though it was not readily apparent due to insufficient guidance from the dealership after I had already purchased an after-market cover. Moreover, there have been complications with the administration department. I was initially informed that my vehicle plates would be transferred, but this did not occur as promised. After receiving new plates in the mail, I inquired about the transfer and was directed to the DMV; after spending two hours at the DMV, I was advised that this was the dealership’s responsibility. The dealership acknowledged this was their responsibility and the plates were eventually transferred, although I was erroneously charged $712.00 in vehicle license tax. Despite explaining that as an Active Duty Military non-resident, I am exempt from this tax, my concerns were dismissed, because all they heard was, “I am from Colorado and don’t have to pay Arizona tax.” While I recognize that the General Manager has been commendable, these issues suggest a broader problem with how the dealership handles vehicle sales and administrative matters. Although I have had no issues with the service department, these experiences have left me disappointed with the purchasing process and advise going elsewhere to purchase a vehicle. More

I had over $3,000 work done on my exhaust system here. That work was done and done well. HOWEVER: (1) the truck was returned dirty & unwashed. Intentionally, per the invoice. (2) They wanted over $110 for an oil change while they had the car. Service manager refused to match a $69.99 deal another Toyota local dealership was offering. Dismissed out of hand. (3) No multi-point vehicle inspection was performed as is typical at dealerships. This despite the vehicle having some obvious problems when driven. I've had service experience at Toyota dealerships in Washington, Oregon, California and Missouri. Toyota of Surprise was by far the worst of those experiences. I'll never go back there for anything! The way that they conduct their business indicates an early bankruptcy anyway. Good riddance. No need to contact me with excuses and/or platitudes. My business is forever gone. More
Set up a service to have driver seat work on I get there said want a 190.00 a hour to look at it told he would get to it when his guys could get to it and I told him I had a 940 appointment he said that was said want a 190.00 a hour to look at it told he would get to it when his guys could get to it and I told him I had a 940 appointment he said that was just with him typically when you set up an appointment for Service that’s the time you were given that’s when they were gonna look at it and he said no he said it also could take a couple hours to figure out what’s wrong with it told him if he ain’t working on it now then apparently he doesn’t want my business. I told him his choice and he said he couldn’t do it now, so I jumped in the car and started to leave and I thought I’d go in and talk to the manager of the dealership , he seem to be a little bit more concerned but let me back over to the manager of his department and that guy didn’t care one way or another. He pretty much said pretty much the same thing so he said I can help you. You can wait and I told him I had time set up already and he said that’s not how it works and I said that’s how it should work anywhere else you go that’s how it works. He said sorry I can’t help you he said yeah you’re sorry and I’m out here so More

I live an hour away and have tried to communicate with service intake my logistical problem. I've scheduled service twice- 1st appointment available, and was left waiting 3-4 hrs. for a basic oil change. I would have made arrangements to leave vehicle if extensive work was needed. But my gosh, this was a lack of courtesy. .Additionally after each tire rotation shortly there after I lost TWO hub caps! Management took care of the one and left me paying for the other! I actually decided to go back and have a duplicate ignition key made and had to wait again almost 4 HOURS! Supposedly the blank they had was cut wrong so they had to go to another dealer to get another blank to cut.. I also have to add that I had to be extra proactive on purchasing the vehicle due to lack of follow up by my salesmen .I paid for the vehicle in full with an extended warranty that I probably didn't need, or should I say won't be using in their dept. Went into dealership after tpms sensor started leaking air. The 2022 Highlander has less 36k miles and less than 3 years old. Was told TPMS sensors NEVER break unless someone breaks them physically, thus Toyota will NEVER approve warranty service on them. I’ve owned Toyota vehicles for over 20 years and this is the first time I have issues with a car defect and wow the way they make you feel, seriously reconsidering my planned purchase of the 2024 Tacoma. Poor warranty service. Wanted over $480 for sensor, had it replaced at Firestone for $118. More
I purchased a used 2023 Nissan Pathfinder here with very low millage. The advertised price was way below anything comparable, so I suspected bait and switch. I was already pre-approved for financing throu low millage. The advertised price was way below anything comparable, so I suspected bait and switch. I was already pre-approved for financing through my credit union and I met Scott and asked for an OTD price. He did not try to steer me towards payment discussion. The price was as advertised. Instead of negotiating lower, I asked for delivery because I lived an over an hour away. Both Scott and Ramon agreed to follow me back all the way to my home, which was over an hour away. They got home late that night! Great above and beyond treatment by Scott and Ramon! More
