Easy to buy, terrible with service I bought my wife a brand new 2015 Toyota Camry SE for her birthday. Everything was great, until after a few months we started smelling a mildew/musky I bought my wife a brand new 2015 Toyota Camry SE for her birthday. Everything was great, until after a few months we started smelling a mildew/musky smell especially when the AC was on. On a hot day, when you first got into the car, it would smell as well. So when we had it serviced, since my wife was a dog groomer, they told us they would look at it but they were confident it was dog urine. I informed them we do not transport dogs in the car, and that in fact we had only ever had our dog in it twice, both times he was on a blanket, and right beside us in the car for about a 5 to 10 minute ride both times. There was no way he could have peed in the car without us knowing. They assured us it was urine causing the smell, until I assured them in no way had anyone, or anything peed in the car. Then it went from 4 or 5 of them which had smelt it, and assured us it was urine, to well one time we had a car brought back for a bad odor, and we found a baby bottle under the seat. We have a 5 and 12 year old, and as per Mama, no one eats or drinks in the car. When I brought up the numerous complaints from others about the musky/moldy odor complaints in the 2012 Toyota Camry's, he acknowledged the complaints, but assured me this was not the same smell. All this buyer/owner can say is that smell is not from us, or anything we did, unfortunately the dealership has told us to suck it up, they plan on doing nothing about it. Thanks Toyota of Somerset!
