I brought in my 2007 Highlander Hybrid Tuesday January 4 at 7:30 AM. My Moon roof would not slide open, the vent option opened and closed perfectly. After 2 hours Miguel explained to me that there was a at 7:30 AM. My Moon roof would not slide open, the vent option opened and closed perfectly. After 2 hours Miguel explained to me that there was a track issue and it would cost $4000 to repair. At the time I understood and opted to think about the issue. After paying $125, got my car and started back to Shell Beach. After 2 minutes on the road I was hearing a lot of wind noise, checked all my windows, then opened the slider under the moon roof. A corner of the moon roof was hanging down 2 inches at the left rear corner, in other words, there was a 2 inch gap from the roof line to the corner of the moon roof. I immediately pulled over to see if I could close it, it just stuttered and would not go into the proper position. I also would not vent up anymore but just growled and clicked. I turned back, told Miguel that this was unacceptable. He got the mechanic to put the moon roof in position, it would not vent anymore, just clicks and growls. The next day, I received a call from your company asking about my service the day before. When she asked if I was satisfied, I said No, but thanked her for calling and hung up. I also got a call from a Manager later that day, I do not have his name. I told him what happened, he explained it was not their fault, the rails were broken. I explained to him, I got it back in worse shape than when I dropped it off, it would not even vent and I had to complain to get the Moon roof flush to the roof of the car. He started to explain why it was not their issue again, at the point I got pissed! I said the minimum is that you don’t make it worse, said good by and hung up. Any customer would expect a mechanic not to make it 100% worse and charge us for the experience and not even repair what they broke. I want my moon roof to vent, like it was when I brought it in for repair of the slider. More
