I brought my 2016 Toyota Four Runner in for service. The Trac and check engine light were on. When they fished the inspection they called and told me that there was a wire that was chewed by a rodent an The Trac and check engine light were on. When they fished the inspection they called and told me that there was a wire that was chewed by a rodent and it would not be covered by my auto warranty. They sent me a video showing me the damage. After viewing the video I could not see any damage that would've been caused by a rodent. It just looks like a wire that got brittle from the Texas heat and the casing came off. Additionally, I had asked about the nut that came off the back handle of the hatch. After speaking with Brian he said to me several times while on the phone "don't worry about that. We can put a nut on there for you free of charge." Then when I checked out they charged me $25 for one nut! In conclusion, I believe that the damage was caused by heat and not by a rodent. What are the odds that a rodent would come into the engine of my car, chew only one wire and show no other indication that they were there. More
I had gone into the dealership with a problem with fuel bleeding out after the gas had clicked off at the station. We had a fantastic experience with Toyota of Rockwall. They went above and beyond to resolve the issue with our 2011 Lexus RX350. The analytics identified an issue with the A/C system that was repaired, b They went above and beyond to resolve the issue with our 2011 Lexus RX350. The analytics identified an issue with the A/C system that was repaired, but it didn't actually repair the initial problem completely. When we returned the vehicle, Toyota of Rockwall brought in a Lexus/Toyota specialist to assist with the diagnosis. While they kept the vehicle for an extra week, they provided us with a rental vehicle. Also, when they finally got the diagnosis correct, they footed the bill for the ultimate repair. Even when they made the repair, they kept the vehicle a day or two extra to be able to test and confirm the repair was successful. We have a fantastic experience with Toyota of Rockwall Service Dept. Never have had an efficient service here, they probably just have too many customers to service in Rockwall area. It took 30 minutes just to get checked in from my truck for an oil change last time with an just have too many customers to service in Rockwall area. It took 30 minutes just to get checked in from my truck for an oil change last time with an appointment scheduled. Oil changes take way too long 1.5-2.5 hours. I can’t even think about having them look at warranty issues because they would need my truck for a whole day just to look at it. I’ll try McKinney and or Paris Toyota even though they are much further away from Greenville. More
