E. Tillman & C.Tillman We understand you are not happy about the manner in which the negotiations that your son and husband took place and we are sorry about that. Regarding maintenance, service-contracts we are happy to process that cancellation, but if the deal was already funded by the lender (and it was) we can’t change the payment. Please note that your son CHOSE TO PURCHASE THOSE PRODUCTS and signed both a menu, an accept/decline form, and the product enrollment forms. Nevertheless, we will cancel those if that is what is desired. In regards to financing, a dealership can choose who, where, and how they process car deals and there are certain lenders in which we can refuse to honor their funds. At that point, the customer can find alternative financing, go through our captive, or purchase the vehicle elsewhere as nobody is forcing anybody to do anything. There are a lot of dealerships that charge fees if a customer doesn’t finance with them – we do not do that. Many times we will take a car deal that we normally would not take if the customer finances through the captive (Southeast Toyota Financial Services). No customers are obligated to finance with us and in this particular case, the original lender's rate was either matched or most likely beaten (meaning Toyota provided a better rate).
