While test driving 2017 Ford F150 check engine light came on. I negotiated the repair as part of the purchase. I waited a week while the service department completed the repair. I took delivery of the truck on. I negotiated the repair as part of the purchase. I waited a week while the service department completed the repair. I took delivery of the truck and the next morning check engine light came on with the same code. I called the service department and spoke to Lori. She couldn’t get me in for a month with Ford. She said truck was ok to drive. A couple days later I notice a vibration that felt like I was driving over rumble strip. Then it started dying at every stoplight/stop sign. I had to put it in park and restart it. I called the dealer who told me to try to drive it to them. I had a stressful drive from Kent to Puyallup trying to keep the truck running by using my left foot on the brake and keeping the rpms up enough for the truck to stay running. At this time I’ve had the truck for only a week and a half. After going in to the service department and standing there in line with all of the people waiting for service, I go find my salesman. I explain everything to him 3 times. He walks me to the service department and is trying to get someone to help me. He asks me again to explain what’s going on with the truck. I go through it all again. I tell him the truck is dying at every stop. He then starts telling me “well you know, a lot of these newer vehicles…” He is telling me about vehicles that shut off for fuel economy. I about lost my mind. No! I’ve had this truck for a week and a half! It isn’t a vehicle that shuts down and restarts when you let off the brake. The truck dies! I have to put it in park and hit the start button! If I were a man, there is no way Sipha (salesman) would have mansplained that kind of craziness to me. Unreal! The buying experience was great here. Staff was friendly. I however was sold a vehicle that was unreliable from day one. They have put me in a loaner vehicle. I am grateful for that. More

The end of July 2023, I purchased a 2015 Chevy Camero from this dealership. I paid cash, so it was pretty painless, as far as all the paperwork. I test drove the car, and I noticed that it kept popping o from this dealership. I paid cash, so it was pretty painless, as far as all the paperwork. I test drove the car, and I noticed that it kept popping out of second gear. I just thought it was me, since I have not driven a manual transmission for about 10 years. Took it home and a week later, made an appointment with my Chevy service guy. I wanted to have it checked out and see if he could tell me why it was popping out of gear. He called me shortly after me dropping it off and told me my transmission was going out. I knew it! I called Toyota of Puyallup and talked with my salesman Mark. He passed it along to Josh (manager) and he called me back within an hour. I took the car in a couple of days later and had them diagnose the car. So, at this point, I have owned the car two weeks. Many phone calls later, (just want to add, they did keep communication with me) and finally a result. They are going to replace the transmission at no cost to me. They kept their guarantee of 3 month 3000 used car warranty. That is awesome. I also told them, that when they took the transmission out, if they could check my clutch, and if it is shows signs of wear and tear, or starting to look old, then replace it, and I will take care of that bill. I received another call from Josh and he said that their master mechanic looked at it and said it did not need to be replaced. Awesome! Saved me some money! Thanks! Well, a few days later, I received a call and said my car was finished. I could not make it that day but will be there after work the next. The next day I received a call from a lady from TOP and said my bill was almost 900 bucks for replacing my clutch. I was like, I thought it was good and did not need to be replaced. Confused, I called them back and she said "yes" it had been replaced. I said, "it should have not been, due to both Josh and Mark stating it was almost new and no need to replace it" Long story short, I called Mark, he had to do some research. I came in and picked up the car, he handed me the keys and stated that "yes" the clutch did get replaced, due to their miscommunication, he/they were not charging me one cent. So, I just want to give a big shout out to TOP, Mark and especially Josh, for making this car buying experience right and standing by their "in house warranty". I will highly recommend this company and tell everyone what you have all done for me. This really could have ended up being a bad review, but it sure is not. Thank you again. You have a customer for life. More

On 10/24/2022, I was scheduled for an Oil change appointment at 0415 pm. On my way to an Oil change, I got a flat tire on the passenger side. When I came to check in, I informed them that I would li appointment at 0415 pm. On my way to an Oil change, I got a flat tire on the passenger side. When I came to check in, I informed them that I would like to get an Oil change, tire rotation, and my flat repaired. I was told, " No problem, it will take approximately 1.5 hrs." Approximately 1hr later, I received a text message stating that my service had been completed. Upon inspecting my vehicle, I noticed I still had a spare tire on my passenger side. I questioned why my tire was not repeated, and tire rotation wasn't done. The answer I was given was that side damage to the tire is not repairable, and you need to buy a new tire and receive a quoted $402.80. At this time, I inform them that I purchase a brand new set of tires on August 3rd at this location, and I should still have a warranty. At this time, I was told that they would take pictures of the tire and start a warranty claim. When I asked why you hadn't started the claim when you were informed that the tire was not repairable, I received no answer. This is not the first time I have serviced my vehicle at Toyota of Puyallup, and I feel like they are not being HONEST with their customers. My advice is to double-check your truck after each service. More

Don’t take your car here…After 5 years I found a new mechanic. By the way - I have taken my car to them for service every 10,000 miles since 2017. the last two years I’ve had alarming concerns and probl mechanic. By the way - I have taken my car to them for service every 10,000 miles since 2017. the last two years I’ve had alarming concerns and problems with their service and repairs. . The last service they “brushed off the leaves and dust” and re-installed a filter . I paid them $1000 in 2020 to repair an oil leak. Last service the oil was so low it didn’t show on the stick. And they printed me a service report that stated that I had deferred their suggested repair….that would be the $1000 repair I paid them to do in 2020. .they installed new brakes that squeezed so loudly for days afterwards that I had to return.. the customer service tech told me it was normal for brakes to squeek. Them they wanted to charge to adjust. This squeek was very loud and not normal - the problem was installation quality. My battery died 3 weeks while I was shopping with my grandkids after a full service appointment - a full service where you get a an inspection checklist. . The battery passed inspection. It turns out that the battery was end of life. Something changed - their staff are no longer concerned about quality and no longer trustworthy . More
Searched the entire United States for one particular part. Finally found this part, and it was the last complete set in the entire United States. Toyota of Puyallup actually had it in stock to my surpri part. Finally found this part, and it was the last complete set in the entire United States. Toyota of Puyallup actually had it in stock to my surprise. Dealing with the parts manager exclusively from 1800 miles away, Eric made everything happen. I received my parts, nothing was damaged and everything was exactly as expected. All of this happened over the phone. The guys in the parts department were awesome, honest and very real. I am ecstatic that they were able to get me the parts that I needed. They are the kind of people that you want to do business with. All of those guys deserve a big fat raise. Working with honest people makes me want to continue doing business with them and that’s how it should be, no pressure. old-school customer service, it’s the way business should be done. Can’t complement the parts department enough. If you are a Toyota car guy, and you’re not afraid to have a conversation about parts, I would highly recommend these guys if you are in the PNW. More
Gave them benefit of doubt multiple times but stopped using them after ~ 25 years and multiple new car purchases. Their service department isn't reliable and I've had everything from misdiagnosis to pro using them after ~ 25 years and multiple new car purchases. Their service department isn't reliable and I've had everything from misdiagnosis to proceeding with a repair without authorization. They can't even read the early drop off instructions reliably to replace windshield wipers during an oil change (3 misses so far). If this is how they treat customers who have purchased 6+ vehicles then watch out. I just got tired of fighting with them over everything. The latest straws that broke this camel's back: 1) Sales: I ordered (yet another) new Tacoma for delivery end of June 2021 and because I did not update the salesperson on a regular basis (customer's obligation don't you know) they cancelled my order and released the truck for sale. Again this is to a customer with decades of loyalty and multiple lease and new SUV and truck purchases. I suppose loyalty only flows one way at Toyota of Puyallup (TOP). 2) Service: Took a 2011 RAV4 in for "Pre-purchase evaluation for the cost of ~ $220.00. TOP said it needed, among other things, a new transmission ($4,500). I drove vehicle and nothing seemed amiss so we took to two independent transmission shops in Tacoma. No transmission repair required was their findings... from people who are looking for business. We ended up passing on the car to be on safe side. This RAV4 was purchased for $11,500 by CarMax in Puyallup the following week. My bad for not trusting the current data I had in front of me and not coupling it with my past experience. I am slow but I finally learned to avoid Toyota of Puyallup. BTW... I just have to ask where are all these "awards" they are claiming coming from? Are they just internal ribbons for participation?
