Never again will I go to the service department at Toyota of Plano. Aug 12 I took my "new to me" 2022 4Runner TRD for a scheduled 30k mile maintenance. On line I was quoted ~$260 but upon arrival found that this same service was now more than $300. Speaking to the advisor, I reduced the services to the minimums (oil change, filter replacements) and added a front license plate bracket. Leaving out somehow the bill still rang up for $300+. Looking at the details, I was charged $105 for a front license plate holder which now I know has an MSRP of $68.50. I was charged $28 to install an in cabin air filter (which takes less than 2 minutes). The filter itself came with a $29.95 price tag though MSRP is $21.99. And the engine air filter cost me $26.95 for the part when the MSRP is $20.99. Toyota of Plano made sure they got their $$$ and I recommend you, the consumer, shop around. There are too many options available to us in the DFW area to be taken advantage of. Shame on you Toyota of Plano service department!!! More

We drove from Wichita, KS to purchase a 2012 Mini Cooper. I discussed the history of the car and had assess to the Car Fax. It appeared to be a great car. Upon getting to the dealership after driving 6 hours I discussed the history of the car and had assess to the Car Fax. It appeared to be a great car. Upon getting to the dealership after driving 6 hours with my two children, we were brought to the car and asked if we wanted to test drive. Of course we did. We were in the car less than 5 minutes when the salesman got a call on his phone and we had to be finished with the drive. While driving for the short time I was asking questions and I specifically asked if there was an owner's manual. The salesman said yes and started to open the glovebox. I was concentrating on driving so I didn't catch that he swiped his hand next to the glovebox and just said yes to my question. My daughter, who was in the backseat caught that he didn't open the glovebox. Later, after we presented them with a cashier's check to pay for the car in full, we left the parking lot and went next door to eat before leaving for the 5 hour drive back home. I went to get the owner's manual out of the glovebox and realized that there was no handle and the glovebox was stuck in the closed position. It was past closing so we had no choice at that point but to leave to go home or get a hotel. Upon getting the car home, we had driven it a couple of days when the check engine light came on and instructed us to take it to the nearest Mini dealership. Today I was shown a video of the underside and told that it needs both CV axels replaced due to them leaking oil everywhere (will cost us $2800) and the high pressure fuel pump needs replaced (will cost $1888). I called and talked with the used car manager and he said it was sold as is. He said he would talk to his General Manager and get back with me. Of course no one has called me back. No offer to help with any of the repair cost. I have pictures and video and plan to hire an attorney. This is terribly unethical. More
