When they saw I was interested in a specific used car they increases the quoted price out of of my range despite the fact I was willing to pay the quoted price. That’s rather unethical I would believe- so wasted my time. Writing this will hopefully help some people time and money. John More

My worst experience ever with buying a car. Watch out for Alex Dorcius and Birmingham Gurand!! I went to Toyota North Miami to begin my search since my first car was purchased from Toyota j Watch out for Alex Dorcius and Birmingham Gurand!! I went to Toyota North Miami to begin my search since my first car was purchased from Toyota just in a different state. I was greeted by Alex Dorcius who right away wanted to help me find my new car. I told him exactly what I wanted which they didn’t have it in stock at that time. I didn’t like any of the alternatives. I did mentioned that I would be ok with a similar model used, just no older than two years back. Alex took me to used cars which very quickly I’ve learned that there really wasn’t many choices to choose from, which def left me pretty surprised. As I was getting ready to leave, Alex showed my a car on my way out that caught my attention. It was Mercedes Benz cla 250, 2017 with 18,000 miles. The car was listed for $29,999. I asked Alex why the price difference was so small between new one and this one which he told me that this one already has everything installed like navigation and stuff and a huge sunroof which I’m sure the new one had as well. Alex called the manager Birmingham who gave me a deal of $24,500, plus I had a trade in car. I haven’t confirmed anything yet, just asked to test drive it and later realized that they already began all the paperwork. I asked them few times how much they’ll give me for my car and Alex kept on telling me that he’ll let me know. Then they took me to an office to finalize the papers. I was shocked that they never gave me any prices and already began all paperwork. What shocked me more was that the original price the manager gave me went up to $24,999. And he only gave me $1000 for my trade in. We called the manager and he gave us a sorry story how he quoted us less than the car’s value and he can’t sell the car for the price he gave us. Since we already wasted so much time and it was only $500 more I didn’t want to cancel the transaction which I now realize that it was my first red flag to back out. At the end of transaction, I got a broken and dirty car with no gas. Also none of the additions that we were told were included were in the car. Obviously it was already dark and they closed so there’s nothing I could do till the next day. I also realized that they gave me only one working key and the other one wasn’t working at all. So next morning I took the car back and asked about the key and the navigation that the sales person as well as the finance manager told us was included and Alex accused me on the spot of lying and that he never said that. The manager confirmed that navigation was never included, he said he’s sorry about the key and that the car was broken and that I should take it to service to get the car fixed and take it to Mercedes to get a new key. We spent over two hours at service just to find out that a new part had to be ordered and that I need to bring the car back the next day, which I did, and it took me another 3 hours at the service to finally get my car fixed. Thank God I was off those days, but I def didn’t plan to spend 3 days in the row waiting for my car to be fixed after I just purchased it. As far as the key, I took to Mercedes which they told me that I have to get it fixed/replaced at the place where I bought it. The manager was already ignorant at Toyota and he was off on the third day so I didn’t want to waste another day to hear the manager say that there’s nothing he can do. (Which he originally told me and sent me to Mercedes) Honestly once I paid the money, everyone turned mean on me and acted as if I got the car for free. NEVER AGAIN, I will go to Toyota to buy a car, def a lesson learned, but to all who are planning, make sure you check EVERYTHING promised before you sign ANY papers. I would highly recommend not using Alex as a sales person because he didn’t know anything about the car as well as he promised things that later he turned around and made his client a liar. If he was a good sales person and even said something that he wasn’t aware of, he could of apologized for miscommunication rather than raising his voice that he NEVER said anything like that, which he did say that couple times, and it’s wasn’t just me that heard that, may parents were with me and they were absolutely shocked from the customer service received. Unprofessional, not knowledgeable and liars, will say anything just to sell and than turn around and act as if I stole their car!! Terrible experience!!! Glad that it wasn’t Toyota that I purchased because it makes me sick just going pass that dealership! Not sure if it’s because it was because it was a used car that their treatment became so terrible or it’s just how they are. Hopefully no everyone there like that, but def don’t deal with Alex and watch out of promises/prices that Birmingham gives because he’ll change it hoping that either no one will notice or just let it go like I did. HUGE MISTAKE!!! More

DON'T TRUST THEIR QUOTE WARNING! DO NOT TRUST the quotes for service they give over the phone. Service advisor, Ledon Bramwell, lied to me on the phone to get me in and then WARNING! DO NOT TRUST the quotes for service they give over the phone. Service advisor, Ledon Bramwell, lied to me on the phone to get me in and then jacked the price up $500 once they had taken my car back into the shop. Yesterday I spoke with Ledon Bramwell about replacing the clutch on my Toyota Tacoma, he seemed knowledgeable and quoted me $1,300 for the work. I decided to bring the truck in, because the price was only a little bit higher than independent shops closer to my home. I drove an hour in Miami rush hour to get there before close, and had to speak with another service advisor because Ledon had left. This advisor called up Ledon Bramwell to find out how much he had quoted me. WHY DO THEY NEED TO FIND OUT HOW MUCH I WAS QUOTED? ITS A STANDARD JOB ON A STANDARD VEHICLE! Turns out the service advisor team is actually incentivized to charge people as much as they can get away with. A third service advisor next to us was loudly bragging how much business he "closed" that day? Why are "service advisors" "closing" business? Ledon gets on the phone and now says the price actually comes to $1800 with tax. He claims that he never gave me a hard quote, just told me it would be "about $1300." During our initial call Ledon Bramwell looked up exactly what vehicle I had, with the VIN number, and so he knew exactly how much the work should have cost. I fought them on price for 30 minutes, because it's clear now that prices are all made up and each service advisor is just trying to fleece their client for as much as they can get. They never came down to the $1,300 I was originally quoted. There are plenty of more trustworthy and affordable options to choose from in the area, included two other Toyota dealerships. AVOID Toyota of North Miami, and if you do get work done here, FIGHT THEM HARD ON PRICE. They are trying to rip you off for as much as they can. More

Worst Car Buying Experience Worst car buying experience. I cancelled 2 other appointments today to drive 30 miles from my home because I was referred to Toyota of North Miami by Worst car buying experience. I cancelled 2 other appointments today to drive 30 miles from my home because I was referred to Toyota of North Miami by the Costco Auto Program. First off, the person I had made the appointment with Ernesto Hidalgo, the one I was sent to by Costco was supposedly gone for the day. Never called to tell me he was leaving. My file had been given to another sales person called Gary Haim, he told me he was the general manager and if that’s true, I’m surprised that dealership is still in business with the kind of customer service we received from that man. Within the first 2 minutes, he told me it would be impossible to get the Highlander I wanted because I told him I wanted the black Limited Platinum. What a great first impression. My husband had to ask him several times if he had any platinums on the lot that we could see and after several times of telling him we would like to see one, he finally said he had one and stalled for a while to take us out to see that car. While seeing the one on the lot, he was very unfamiliar with the car and its features. I asked questions about the rims for the Platinum package and couldn’t answer them. He also made some negative comment when I told him I liked the Platinum package because of the panoramic moonroof. He was very negative about everything. I think once he knew he wasn’t going to sell us the one on the lot, he didn’t care to treat us right. On the way back in, left us out in the lot and came in thru a different door and we were lost for a while not knowing where he went. I have never seen anything like this. As per the Costco program, the dealer is supposed to provide the customer with the Costco price in writing on arrival there. Not once did he do that in the one hour we were there in spite of me asking him several times. I haven’t bought a new car in 10 years but I don’t recall my last experience being unpleasant like this. I just contacted the Costco Auto Program and reported my experience at this dealership. Stay away from this place. More
