I have had two disgusting experiences in that dealership. That dealership charges more fees than any other dealership in Miami. That makes me wonder if those positive reviews are real or fake because those p That dealership charges more fees than any other dealership in Miami. That makes me wonder if those positive reviews are real or fake because those people there took advantage of me, for being uneducated when it comes to buying a car, that I ended up paying for Corolla a lot of money, and now that car is not even worth what I financed. Those people are really manipulative and misleading. They should be ashamed. By the way, those people are not that friendly when you tell them some real truths in their faces about all the crap that they charge you, that in the end goes straight to their pockets. More
I visited this store to see two cars, one of which had supposedly sold before my arrival. I understand that happens sometimes. I asked Armando for a serious offer, since I would be driving over an hour supposedly sold before my arrival. I understand that happens sometimes. I asked Armando for a serious offer, since I would be driving over an hour to go to this dealership. According to Armando, he had confirmed the vehicle was there about 2 hrs before I arrived, and checked with his manager before giving me "final" prices. When I get there, Armando is not there, the car is not there, and the price given was unreasonable, according to the reps that assisted us. Before any further discussion on price, we inspected the car. WOW. It would be great if accurate pictures of damage and wear and tear would be provided. It's not about tricking the customer into the dealership; it's about being honest and treating the customer with dignity and respect. We saw a 2015 Toyota Camry. There was some nasty damage in the driver's side door. When I asked the rep, he said the driver must have rested his elbow there too long. I guess we must have had STUPID written on our foreheads. And the front bumper looked like it was peeling off. Again, the rep told me he could recommend a good body shop...not exactly the words you want to hear when purchasing a car. But you know what the cherry on top was? When I told the manager I was not interested in financing, he quickly informed me that a $1,000 had to be added since they would not be making any money from my financing. I almost flipped right out of my chair! He added that dealerships would go bankrupt without this fee and it was needed to cover overhead. Needless to say, it was not a pleasant experience. I have talked to at least 10 dealerships after I visited Toyota of North Miami and asked all of them if there was an additional fee for cash buyers. Not one shared in this practice! Don't waste your time with this dealership! More
Bought a camry 3 weeks ago and had to return it that week because the transmission wouldn't shift into 2nd gear easily. After waiting patiently for over a week they informed me that they have a newer car for because the transmission wouldn't shift into 2nd gear easily. After waiting patiently for over a week they informed me that they have a newer car for the same price. I assumed that was a good deal until... i was told the seats have just been cleaned and are wet. They told me to ride with the windows down omw home. When i got home i realized i got ripped off for the 2nd time because the car did not have any a/c, the bumber was falling off, and the keys don't lock/unlock the door .. i wanna help the next person out by giving my experience.. 1/10 More
Contacted this dealer about the new Rav4 Prime. What a disappointment it was. I was unable to schedule a test drive and instead of offering other options they were focused on agreeing on a price for a car disappointment it was. I was unable to schedule a test drive and instead of offering other options they were focused on agreeing on a price for a car they didn't even offer for me to go an see. They just focused on the money so they expected me to.sign an order and go through the ordering and price and didn't even asked me to go and see a comparable or anything? Really? Based on the reviews I can see they want to get all the fees to you so although I really wanted to go there as it is closest for me I am already checking with other dealers in the area. Hope they check their customer service skills. Sometimes you can close a deal by just offering options. None were offered for me. I gave Alex 2 stars because at least he responded to my emails and did not bombarded me with non sense or wanted my time when I told him I was not buying a car without the opportunity to see it and test drive it. At least a comparable. More
This dealership is either unaware of the Florida statutes Section 976 [Actionable, unfair, or deceptive acts or practices] - or they are deliberately trying to obfuscate the intent of the law. They tried Section 976 [Actionable, unfair, or deceptive acts or practices] - or they are deliberately trying to obfuscate the intent of the law. They tried adding their dealer fees onto the advertised price thus increasing the price of the car by an additional $999.00 - which by law - MUST be included in the advertised price. When challenged, they were very smug and tried to denigrate us. For the ever-so-polite finance manager in the used car department who swears he has been selling cars for 10 years without being aware of this statute published in 2011 here you go - F.S. 501.976 (16) It is an unfair or deceptive act or practice, actionable under the Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act, for a dealer to: (16) Advertise the price of a vehicle unless the vehicle is identified by year, make, model, and a commonly accepted trade, brand, or style name. The advertised price must include all fees or charges that the customer must pay, including freight or destination charge, dealer preparation charge, and charges for undercoating or rustproofing. State and local taxes, tags, registration fees, and title fees, unless otherwise required by local law or standard, need not be disclosed in the advertisement. When two or more dealers advertise jointly, with or without participation of the franchisor, the advertised price need not include fees and charges that are variable among the individual dealers cooperating in the advertisement, but the nature of all charges that are not included in the advertised price must be disclosed in the advertisement.
