Great sales attitude and selection My wife and I bought a new Highlander here at Toyota of North Charlotte after checking with or visiting over six other area and regional dealerships. My wife and I bought a new Highlander here at Toyota of North Charlotte after checking with or visiting over six other area and regional dealerships. What convinced us to buy here were clear differences in price, selection, and customer service. I'm not sure who is managing this dealership, but they must have a customer-service focus because their employees uniformly strive to make buying a great experience. A good example is the expertise, warmth, and speed with which our "paper processor" at the buying stage helped us complete the purchase. Signing a thousand forms, understanding the choices in financing, extras, and service options is always a pain, but we worked with Janelle Harris, who made the ordeal almost likable. She moved fast, but clearly explained what we were signing and what we should pay close attention to as we documented the sale. She's funny, friendly, and confident, which is infectious. Can't praise her highly enough. All in all, it was a great buying experience, and we love our new vehicle. More

Normally a dealer makes a slim, but reasonable margin on a sale, but a large share of a dealer's 'accounts receivables' comes from servicing vehicles. Some dealers may be prone to 'padding' items to be checked on a vehicle (like your doctor ordering extra 'tests', just to be sure of the things you're NOT dying of...) in order to make extra money. But dealers of quality products having well-known performance profiles use structured servicing schedules, with discrete items already identified and costed out, to provide safe oversight of ongoing mechanical performance and deliver a predictable cost for service and the time required to deliver it. This becomes a matter of 'trust'. In addition, some dealers may have gorgeous showrooms with all kinds of amenities, but their 'back room' service departments are grubby, dirty, have uncomfortable chairs, no TV or up-to-date magazines, no coffee/tea, and employ snarling service reps who don't seem to give a xxxx about much of anything. That's why Toyota of North Charlotte is 'different' and refreshing! This dealer puts customer satisfaction 'first and foremost' -- from the sale or lease of a vehicle right through a continuing history of maintaining it. All personnel (both front and back office) seem to possess a real passion for -- and pride in their work. They have a strong 'team ethic' to support and encourage one another -- and to deliver a 'quality product' -- from the keys to your new vehicle, to a full explanation of the services routinely performed on it, and a smile and handshake at every meeting. The fact that the service-writing and sales areas of the dealership are fully and very attractively integrated under the same roof shows the importance of both functions to the collective 'whole' process of marketing automobiles. Eric Olsen is one service rep at this dealership who embodies and demonstrates a true professional approach to his work -- initiating service requests, then carefully following up with service techs to ensure all work has been performed before returning the vehicle to the customer. Eric provides wise counsel when 'unexpected' things are found -- particularly when potential safety issues are concerned, like damaged or worn tires or mechanical issues -- to alert customers for the costs and time required to address such issues. Eric and other service writers, as well as the sales staff at Toyota of North Charlotte are always professionally dressed, well-groomed, courteous, respectful, polite, and extremely helpful.
