First off, just because a vehicle is listed under the dealer's internet website as being ‘available’; does not mean that it is on the lot. I arrived at Toyota of Muncie only to find the Corolla I found u dealer's internet website as being ‘available’; does not mean that it is on the lot. I arrived at Toyota of Muncie only to find the Corolla I found under their website was not on the lot. They tell me they share internet vehicle access and that it is still "available" because they can have it driven over from other dealers. Just a trick to get you to the lot. So, I give them the benefit of the doubt and test drive another vehicle similar to the one I wanted. I decided to go ahead and purchase the vehicle. Almost an hour later I am told by the salesman that he found out the dealer sold the vehicle I wanted, but he has another with two extra packages that I did not want at another dealer. After some haggling with the price I get it to a price somewhat acceptable. I drive home and receive a call from the dealer letting me know that they found out yet another useless option is installed on the vehicle. I just said screw it and told them to forget it. Overall poor experience. Do not trust internet sales...seemed like a big trick to get me to pay more. Spent over 6 hours at the dealer for nothing. The salesman was polite, but needed someone more experienced to handle this sale. Look to another dealer if you plan to buy a Toyota. More
I bought my 4runner from Toyota Muncie so I took it there for its first oil change. The day after the oil change I noticed oil on my driveway and I took it back in, they said the seal on the filter was fault for its first oil change. The day after the oil change I noticed oil on my driveway and I took it back in, they said the seal on the filter was faulty, no apology for me so I called the sales manager and he was even worse than the service people. He told me that my car left their dealer in perfect condition and the fault must have started after I drove the car down the street. He couldn't admit that they either installed the oil filter wrong or installed a faulty oring. I will never go back there or recommend them. More
After a neighbor told me about Toyota of Muncie I decided to try then out on my 08 Lexus , I had been taking it to another Toyota Dealership and Lexus in Indy. Wow what a difference! Very nice, professional to try then out on my 08 Lexus , I had been taking it to another Toyota Dealership and Lexus in Indy. Wow what a difference! Very nice, professional and very fairly priced. Not cheap but then neither are any automotive shops these days. I would highly recommend them More

I purchased a used car from toyota of muncie and recently had my transmission go out. I took my car in to have the transmission replaced and ended up paying over $900. Their service time took a week. When I had my transmission go out. I took my car in to have the transmission replaced and ended up paying over $900. Their service time took a week. When I finally picked up my car it had a loud sound when shift gears. I had to take it back and they said it need a new clutch fan and that would be another $300. Unbelievable! All I can say is avoid this dealership at all cost. More
This is the worst experience I have ever had. We called a few days before and got a OTD price. We walked in there and we felt something was not right because they weren’t honest. Don’t trust them from the b few days before and got a OTD price. We walked in there and we felt something was not right because they weren’t honest. Don’t trust them from the beginning. The general manager came to us saying that we still have to pay 399 documentation fee and sales taxes on our vehicle. We thought OTD prices include everything, fee, taxes. Apparently, their definition of OTD price is quite different! xxx! We were so upset we wasted the whole day there and they are absolutely the worst people you can ever deal with! More
My experience with this dealership was a bit of a nightmare. After taking a day off (that was after taking to them 3 days before and being told everything was fine), I found NOTHING was going anywher nightmare. After taking a day off (that was after taking to them 3 days before and being told everything was fine), I found NOTHING was going anywhere. First, I was told over that phone conversation that I was approved with no money down. When I got there, they told me that they not only needed a co-signer but also a very large downpayment. Not to mention the interest rate was 7.99%. I was even told that someone from this dealer had just called the day before to let me know that things had changed but there were no any messages or records on my cell phone at all. (another big fat lie right to my face!). I do not recommend anyone bother to even stop at this dealer. Not only will you not get the payments, cars or price that you talked about but they will have no problems telling you lies just to get you there. They will even lie about the cars they have to get you in the door. The whole purchasing experience was so emotional draining. I can’t tell you how many salespersons or managers came out and talked to me. They are all dishonest. Potential car shoppers beware!!! More
I bought a used 2006 Toyota Highlander a week ago from a very reputable dealer in Michigan. The SUV was given a comprehensive examination and nothing was wrong. Upon driving through central Indiana, my p very reputable dealer in Michigan. The SUV was given a comprehensive examination and nothing was wrong. Upon driving through central Indiana, my passenger headlight went out. I called Toyota Scion of Muncie to schedule a quick service check, and was told that it would be $45.00. I brought the car in, they looked it over, and told me that wiring was corroded, had heated up, and caused several hundred dollars worth of damage to surrounding parts, all of which would need to be ordered and replaced. I called my dealer in Michigan, explained the situation, and asked for their opinion. They told me that the diagnosis was completely bogus and that they would take care of it free of charge. Of course, Toyota of Muncie still wanted me to fork over $85.00 to look at the headlight. So I brought the car back to Michigan and my dealer looked it over. What was wrong? a loose connection to the headlight. No corroded wires. No burnt parts. Just one loose wire. I'm calling Toyota Scion of Muncie for a complete refund. Oh, and I'm also calling Toyota Corporate. More
