Came in for service on my 2019 Tundra. Had Robert Lopez and Rowdy Ryan give me a price on a 2024 Tundra Limited 4x4. Needless to say we drove home in the new Tundra. I try to always tell it like it is and I always want to wait a few days after my encounter with a business. That way emotions have a chance to simmer down after a transaction whether it went good or bad. wait a few days after my encounter with a business. That way emotions have a chance to simmer down after a transaction whether it went good or bad. When it's time for me to purchase a vehicle, I look forward to it about as much as looking forward to going to the dentist and having a root canal done without novocain. Prior to visiting Toyota of Mt Pleasant, I visited another dealership (non-Toyota) that had a used make and model car I was interested in. They were your stereo typical used car salesmen. They did not honor their advertised (internet) price, they added all kinds of xx fees and offered me an insulting offer for my trade in. I walked out the door. I went back to the drawing board and decided to do my due diligence. I found another dealership that was offering a similar vehicle I was interested in. But this time, I walked in with their internet price printed out, an 'out the door' price I was willing to pay for the vehicle. I also had in hand what I was willing to accept as an amount for my trade in, I knew my credit rating, and I had financing already secured with my bank. The dealership that had the vehicle I was interested in was Toyota of Mt Pleasant. I called to make an appointment as they were a couple of hours drive away from my home. I spoke to salesperson Josh Weatherall. He was personable over the phone. We agreed on when to meet. After the phone call, I 'googled' him to see what others had to say about their encounters with him. Overall, they were very positive as were comments about the dealership in general. When I arrived for my appointment, the car I was interested in was parked near the front entrance and Josh walked out and greeted me. After we talked about the car, we went to his desk and I presented him with my written offer of what I was willing to pay. Of course, Josh had to take that to his manager, Rowdy Ryne. That's just how the car buying game is played. Josh came back with the obligatory counter proposal. In the end, we worked out a deal we both agreed to and I'm driving a brand new Toyota today. The overall experience was about as pleasant as purchasing a new vehicle can be. I have nothing but high praise to give to Josh, his manager Ryan and the dealership. It was well worth the two-hour journey to deal with them. If you are like me, and that is someone who purchases a vehicle once every decade or so, then I encourage you to do your homework before visiting any dealership. Have your car in mind, your price in mind, read reviews to find out how others faired in their dealings at the dealership and never forget the front door swings both ways - don't be hesitant to walk out if you feel like you are getting the short end of the stick. Toyota of Mt Pleasant - Josh Weatherall and Ryan Ryne in particular, will turn what you may 'dread' into a productive and pleasant overall transaction. More
I was in and out in no time. Customer service skills are top shelf. They're polite, quick and there's no hassle. I could go to another Toyota dealership, but I always choose Mt.
