Fraudulent sales department lied about inventory After speaking with a sales associate about purchase of a new 4Runner over the course of several days, we arrived at the dealer cash-in-hand to make After speaking with a sales associate about purchase of a new 4Runner over the course of several days, we arrived at the dealer cash-in-hand to make a quick transaction only to find out the sales agent made completely false promises about their stock just to lure us in the door. They didn't have- and hadn't even carried- the car we were looking for in stock. The sales manager even admitted it was never there and that his sales team hadn't bothered to verify the inventory before we arrived. They made false, deceptive statements to get us in the door then tried to talk us into a different car once we took time off work to come in. Incredibly unprofessional and shameless. More

air induction pump warrenty repair on 07 tundra TOOK 07 TUNDRA IN FOR AIR INDUCTION PUMP WARRANTY REPAIR. THEY TRIED TO CHARGE $100 FOR RUNNING TEST. I TOLD THEM NO WAY- AND THEN THEY TOLD ME I NEE TOOK 07 TUNDRA IN FOR AIR INDUCTION PUMP WARRANTY REPAIR. THEY TRIED TO CHARGE $100 FOR RUNNING TEST. I TOLD THEM NO WAY- AND THEN THEY TOLD ME I NEEDED OXYGEN SENSOR REPLACED WHICH THEY WOULD DO FOR $450. I TOLD THEM NO. FIRST OFF - AN OXYGEN SENSOR COST ABOUT $75 FROM AUTOZONE AND TAKES ABOUT 5 MINUTES TO REPLACE AND AUTOZONE WILL RUN THE TEST FOR FREE AND GIVE YOU THE PRINTOUT. ITS BEEN MORE THAN A YEAR AND I HAVE NEVER REPLACED SO CALLED FAULTY O2 SENSOR AND DASH LIGHT HAS NEVER CAME BACK ON. THE PREVIOUS YEAR WHEN I WENT IN FOR TRANSMISSION FLUID CHANGE THE PARTS / SERVICE GUY TOLD ME I NEEDED ALL NEW BRAKES. I HAD JUST HAD MY NEIGHBORHOOD MECHANIC PUT ALL NEW BRAKE PADS AND ROTORS ON A FEW MONTHS BEFORE. THEY WERE FINE AND ARE STILL FINE TODAY. THIS DEALERSHIP WILL LIE TO YOUR FACE WHEN IT COMES TO SERVICE OF VEHICLE. DO'NT TRUST ANY OF THEIR ADDITIONAL PROBLEMS THEY DIAGNOSE- IT'S JUST A BS SCAM TO CHARGE FOR REPAIRS YOU DO NOT NEED!!!!!!! Excellent staff all the way around I had a recall issue on one of my Toyota vehicles and called a different Toyota dealership and was told they didn't perform this service on Fridays an I had a recall issue on one of my Toyota vehicles and called a different Toyota dealership and was told they didn't perform this service on Fridays and Saturdays . This was bad business sense and unacceptable in my opinion. I was tentative about calling Team Toyota due to previous experience with that dealership; however, they were closer to my home. Nevertheless when I contacted Toyota of Merrillville their response was positive from the start of my phone call to the service that was performed. It's refreshing to know that there still are some businesses that get it, treat people the way you should be treated and everyone wins. More
Used Car I bought a 2008 Toyota Prius used from this dealer in December. It is now the very first days of March and my car has been acting up for the last week I bought a 2008 Toyota Prius used from this dealer in December. It is now the very first days of March and my car has been acting up for the last week. Two days ago my master warning light apparatus on my dash along with the HYBRID SYSTEM FAILURE LIGHT which is pretty scary considering I just spent a hefty amount of money on this car and the hybrid system cost is no joke. So I call the dealership and I ask them what I should do. They tell me I should not be driving this car but they will not be able to look at it for another 4 days. REALLY. I just got this car two months ago and it's undrivable. Anyway, I brought it up there anyway and dropped it off. They call me the next day and tell me that my starting battery has went out (how convienient because it's not covered under warranty, whereas my hybrid system is) and it was going to cost $399 for them to install the battery but also $99.95 just because they looked at the car and diagnosed the problem. When I bought the car they told me they did a complete system check, that everything was good to go. Yet my battery goes out after two months of driving? And also my break pads are worn down to the metal? I am incredibly dissatisfied with this dealer. They seemed very honest at first. I would NEVER recommend anyone to buy a car from here, especially used. More
