Disappointed After saving some monies - I went to Toyota of Melbourne in early April 2018 with enough cash on hand to look at the new Corolla LE. Although Toyota After saving some monies - I went to Toyota of Melbourne in early April 2018 with enough cash on hand to look at the new Corolla LE. Although Toyota of Melbourne claims to strive in completely understand and fully meet customers expectations they do not practice such creed for they are not willing to sell you a vehicle from the dealer lot unless you finance the purchase through Southeast Toyota Finance (a convenience for them not necessary for the customers). In the beginning P. Scott seemed to understand I did not want to borrow money to buy the vehicle but all changed when the manager got involved in the process. To make a long story short I was taken to the cleaners for accepting a loan I did not need. First – the amount financed was $876.00 above the balance due on delivery. Second but no last - 25 days later when I received in the mail the first payment due notice, I paid $300.00 above the financed amount for paying off the loan. You do the math….in addition to all this I was given an allowance of just $500.00 for my 2003 Corolla LE. Did I mention that I trade in a used car (2003) for a used 2018 car? Yes…. the “new” car I just purchased from Toyota of Melbourne had 375 miles posted in the odometer as I drove out the dealership on the day I purchased it. Nevertheless I was asked to sign and I did, a statement that the car had only 12 miles. I heard that Toyota of Melbourne top priority is to provide the best in customer service. Well - this is not over yet since with the vehicle I also purchased a maintenance agreement…..so let’s see how I will be treated in the service department when the time arrives for needed scheduled maintenance. I am not in the habit of giving negative reports or reviews because I believe in second chances and room for improvements. I can only say I will be more cautious next time and encourage others to do the same. My experience with Toyota of Melbourne was not a pleasant one. I am a retired individual in a fixed income as many here in the State of Florida are as well. I don’t like corporations or business taking advantage of retired people or elderly with limited income. He was extremely professional and personable over the phone and it was a pleasure relating with him. I explained what my plans were and made an appointment with him. Once I met him in person it concluded what I experienced over the phone. He was also knowledgeable in his comparisons and explanations. I upgraded to a 2018 Camry. After I made my decision he guided me through the steps and explained in detail the functions of the Camry. He recommended I call him with any questions or concerns. It truly was a pleasure relating with Mr. Mick Fields. Toyota of Melbourne is fortunate to have an employee like him. I have no regrets on my decision. PS: Everyone who assisted me that day welcomed me, was friendly and personable. More

Beware - messed up my oil change Took my 2002 Sequoia in for an oil change on 1/20/18. Apparently the tech forgot to add oil after he drained it. When I noticed it was low, I added a quart and drove to a local repair shop (about 1.2 miles from my home) to have it checked. I was advised it was 4.5 quarts low. They could find no leaks. It's amazing that my engine didn’t blow up. Really wanted to get a few more years out of my car but now feel like I need to shop for a new car. It's hard to quantify how much damage was done but I'm sure the life of my motor has been significantly reduced due to their negligence. Probably would have been better off had it just blown up. Not happy...... More

Roy Souza was very friendly and patient with me as he guided me around the lot. I didn't feel pressured and he did what a salesman should do; show, provide info about features and let the product sell itself. Roy helped get the best deal I believe I could have gotten. I will recommend Roy to anyone I know that's considering a Toy and he has changed my opinion of the dealership. I give Roy 5 stars. More
