I have been to many different car dealerships over the years. Nothing compares to the experience I had at Toyota of Massapequa. No, I'm not being paid for this review. No, I don't know anyone personall years. Nothing compares to the experience I had at Toyota of Massapequa. No, I'm not being paid for this review. No, I don't know anyone personally in any car dealership. I had a 5-star experience at Toyota of Massapequa. Here is my experience... I am due with my first child in September 2021. My Jeep lease was ending, and I needed a new car. My husband and I decided to "window shop" for a new car one Saturday afternoon. After doing some research of new cars for expanding families, I decided to look into the new 2021 Toyota Highlander. When we arrived, we were greeted by the floor manager who then set us up with Orlando. Orlando was a sweet, young man who catered to our needs and wants in a car. When we told him what we were looking for, he took us to the "candy land" of Highlanders in their downstairs area. There was one Highlander I particularly liked, so Orlando took it out for us to test drive. Before test driving, my husband walked around the car to inspect any damage so we wouldn't be held accountable for it. Unfortunately, there was a decent amount of scuffs on the car for something that was new (minor, but not something you would see on a brand new car). For example, the back bumper had a nice scuff mark that couldn't be buffed out, and there was a paint chip on the rocker panel on the back passenger side. The car was new, and probably just parked very poorly by an employee. Upon inspection, Orlando wrote all of these minor damages down. While we took the car for a test drive (just my husband and I went for the drive, as due to COVID restrictions, Orlando couldn't come with us), Orlando brought the damages list to the service department. Upon return he told us that those damages would be taken care of as soon as possible by their service department. I fell in love with the car after the test drive, and decided to ask about pricing for a lease. My husband and I decided to take that exact car we test drove, even with the damages, if we can get the right price (again, those damages were minor, but noticeable). After some back and forth, we got a price that we were able to agree on. At any car dealership, the wait time can be significant when waiting for the DMV to come back and other necessary paperwork. During this time, Orlando instructed us to go get the car we were trading in (we didn't bring it with us, since we were just window shopping - or so we thought). Orlando knew the process would take awhile, so he told us to go get some lunch (since we barely ate anything before looking at cars) and come back when we were ready. My husband and I were able to relax for an hour, get some lunch, and get the car. Upon return, the paperwork was ready and we were out of there with a new lease within an hour of returning. We spent approximately 3-4 hours total at the dealership, which isn't too bad considering my past experiences at other dealerships. Before leaving, Angel from the service department met us outside and said that he was going to make sure the damages on the car were taken care of. Again, my husband and I agreed to the damages on the car, as they weren't too significant. However, Angel insisted that since it is a new car, they wanted to do the right thing. We were in communication a week later for a replacement bumper piece and some body work to fix the paint chip on the rocker panel. I brought my car in, received a rental for a few days, and got my car back a few days later. However, one piece was on backorder, so instead of being stuck with a rental for another week or two, Angel allowed me to pick my car back up, and he would communicate with us when to return so they can make sure everything is perfect. At the end of it all, Angel was extremely attentive, and made sure to disinfect my car before returning it to me so I felt comfortable taking it home, especially being newly pregnant during a pandemic. In conclusion, the service I received at Toyota of Massapequa was unlike anything I've ever received from a dealership, or have heard anyone has ever had. Orlando was amazing to work with, and he helped me to get an amazing car for my expanding family. I highly recommend you see him to help you get the car you want. Angel was extremely attentive, kind, and understanding of everything that we went through with this new car. He kept constant communication with both my husband and I during the process, and made sure that everything was taken care of perfectly. Remember, most people are the first to write a bad review when they don't get their way. Take into account the time someone took to write a good review about a place. I am highly satisfied with my experience at Toyota of Massapequa, and I look forward to continue a positive relationship for the life of my current and future vehicles. More
My son-in law has been waiting almost 2 weeks for his deposit. Gave him one price, and the next day went up by $100, so he cancelled. They are all liars! Find another dealer deposit. Gave him one price, and the next day went up by $100, so he cancelled. They are all liars! Find another dealer More

Terrible! Drove into Long Island from NJ for a specific vehicle they had on their used car lot. Called to confirm that it was still in stock, spoke to Silvana, she confirmed that the vehicle was still in s vehicle they had on their used car lot. Called to confirm that it was still in stock, spoke to Silvana, she confirmed that the vehicle was still in stock. She explained that since I was coming in from NJ, it was important that I understood that a $2000 down payment is required to get the internet price and it DOES NOT include taxes, DMV fees, and $695 dealer fee. I had a trade in that was well over the 2k and was left with the impression that this satisfied the minimum. I even reiterated that I wasn't brining in any cash and she said that was fine. I get there early on Saturday morning, Ramon is our sales guy. We test drove it, everything was great. We get back, start working on numbers. Ramon argues with the sales manager (Don't know his name but he isn't winning any Customer service awards anytime soon). We asked him what the average interest rate was before we ran our credit and he said between 5-8%. We both have EXCELLENT credit, so we said NO WAY, we will not do this if that's your rate. We told them that the average for a used car is between 3 and 4%. he agreed and said if our credit is that good, that what we'll get. No problem. Ran our credit, they said everything looked great and we should be going into finance soon. Waited 2 hours. Jorge was our finance guy, he was a great, we begin going over the numbers and they were WAY off. Ramon failed to clearly explain that the internet price is only available with an actual payment of $2000 and that our trade in did not satisfy that. To add insult to Injury we weren't even going to be able to take the car home that day because they didn't have the physical title and the interest rate they tried to give us was 4.8% (with a 791 credit score). We stopped the deal right there! This dealership is terrible and needs new management. They're not in the business to sell cars, they wanna screw people over. Do yourself a favor, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! Avoid this dealership! Look at these reviews! More
USED CAR BUYER BEWARE! I want to share my bad experience with the public as well as the owner of Toyota of Massapequa. First, if I could rate with 0 stars I would have but I cannot post without at least 1 s with the public as well as the owner of Toyota of Massapequa. First, if I could rate with 0 stars I would have but I cannot post without at least 1 star. I live in New Jersey and I'm in the market for a used Camry so I'm scheduling appointments in the tri-state area. Saturday morning I call Toyota of Massapequa and book an appointment for the next day Sunday at 11am when they open. I spoke to Pilar Nanez, she placed me on hold to check the availability of the car I inquired about, she came came and said "YES", and she booked my appointment. Later that day at 5pm, someone from the dealership called me to confirm that I'm still good for 11am, I asked the person if the car is still available and they said "YES" again and they are looking forward to my visit. I show up Sunday morning at 11am for my appointment, a sales person takes my information and a minute later comes back "unfortunately" the car is sold. Huh??? The first thing that came to my mind is "bait and switch", but I'm hoping this is not the case, but it makes you think. The sales person apologizes and shows me a different car with similar year, model and mileage, however, the car wasn't even cleaned, washed, prepped, nothing. I should have taken pictures. The driver's seat, steering wheel, gear shifter, etc. were all disgusting. We're in a pandemic people - at least wipe down the steering wheel before you hand me the keys and tell me to go for a test drive. At that point, I ask to speak to the manager, I spoke to Daniel Algarin and shared with him every painful detail of my customer experience. I even walk him outside to show him the disgusting car. Daniel asked the sales person, "...was the car he was looking for sold yesterday?", the sales person replied "...NO IT WAS SOLD LAST WEEK..." A deposit was left. Huh??? So why did Pilar Nanez tell me it was still available? Why did they call me back to confirm my appointment? There's a process problem, people problem and team problem in this dealership when people can't figure out if a used car is still available. You cannot be wasting people's time. I shared with Daniel that this is simply unacceptable and I'm hoping (and expecting) changes are made in their processes and in the way people are trained and managed to avoid horrible customer experiences. I'm hoping the managers and owner of this dealership are accountable and willing to listen and hear from their customers. Daniel was professional and apologetic, he offered to make things right, but in the end the damage was done. I hope this honest review helps people shopping for used cars in Toyota of Massapequa. I for one will tell you to stay away and look elsewhere. More
I just had the WORST experience with a Toyota dealership EVER! This horrible experience was with the service department at Toyota of Massapequa in Seaford, NY. I had brought my car in to take care of a kn EVER! This horrible experience was with the service department at Toyota of Massapequa in Seaford, NY. I had brought my car in to take care of a known issue that Toyota is well aware of. They are so aware of the issue that they have issued a Technical Service Bulletin (T-SB-0116-20) to explain to their technicians on how to fix it. This issue is that the weather stripping around the sunroof starts to peel off and deteriorate. I wanted to have this taken care of BEFORE my sunroof starts to leak as the seals are already starting to leak. Mind you, it is Feb. 2021, and this is a 2018 Camry with under 34k miles. Oh yeah, I also purchased this car directly from another Toyota dealership as a CERTIFIED Pre-owned Toyota. With that certification comes a one year, 12k mile bumper-to-bumper warranty, as well as the multi-year powertrain warranty. I brought my car in before this expired. As part of the service bulletin, new weather stripping needs to be ordered, and the part number is listed in the bulletin. I did not want to have to wait at the dealership knowing that they would have to order the parts. So, I pulled into the service center drive-up and explained to the first employee that I wanted to have a service advisor or manager just take a look at the peeling of weather stripping so that they can order the parts and then I would schedule an appointment to have it replaced when they got it in. He brought me to the service desk where my problems began. Dealing with SEBASTIAN, he would not just come out to take a quick look (would literally have taken less than 30 seconds to see these horrible weather strippings) He said it is a whole process and I would have to either wait with the car, or leave the car. I asked how long it would be, and he said maybe an hour or so. I asked if he would just come outside to take a look, it would literally take seconds, and he said no, that it was a process, that they werent just going to start ordering parts. Again, I stressed how quickly the observation would be but he still wouldnt look at the car. So I reluctantly said I would wait for the car to be looked at. While in the waiting area, I could see them drive my car to a spot and park it. BEFORE anyone came to look at the car, a service advisor ANGEL came up to me and asked me if I wanted them to give me a quote for the repairs. I questioned why I would want a quote for something that should be covered under warranty, and he said that they would not be covering it as it was a wear and tear item. I told him that I believed him to be wrong, that I had the TSB explaining that there was an issue with the part. He told me I was not going to be helped, and because I did not purchase the car from them, that he wasn't willing to help me. I told him I was dumbfounded that I would not get the same courtesy that someone who purchased a car from them would get. He suggested I contact the out-of-state dealership that I had purchased the car from and tell them "that they owe me for weather stripping." With that I asked for me keys back, said I would never return to this dealership, and left. Shortly after leaving, SEBASTIAN at the service desk sent me a text message asking if I had any questions. I said I did, I wanted to know the name of the person I had spoken with, but he never replied. Instead, I had to look up his name on their website. I have never received such uncourteous service from a Toyota dealership in my life. Mind you, the part that should have been replaced, is under $20, and takes less than an hour to do. More
We bought our 2020 RAV4 Hybrid in August. Toyota of Massapequa didn't have the model/trim we wanted, but Ritu pro-actively located the car for us and had it brought to the dealership. Megan was a wonde Massapequa didn't have the model/trim we wanted, but Ritu pro-actively located the car for us and had it brought to the dealership. Megan was a wonderful salesperson, showing us the car, answering all our questions, and handling every aspect of the purchase seamlessly on our behalf. Jorge did a great job arranging the financing. We brought the car in for servicing on Dec. 5. The issue was not due to a Toyota defect -- a rodent had chewed some wiring in the engine. We first had the car checked at a different Toyota dealership closer to our home, but we were not satisfied with their diagnostic and quote. Then we brought the car to Toyota of Massapequa. Angel and Curtis provided us with outstanding customer service. They saw to it that a more detailed and accurate diagnostic was performed which resulted in a significantly lower and fairer quote for the repair work! The repairs were done quickly and much to our satisfaction. We are appreciative of all the technicians and staff members who assisted us. Going forward, we intend to always bring our car to Toyota of Massapequa for any routine maintenance or repairs! More
We had a terrible experience at Toyota of Massapequa because of their misleading advertising and behavior. Their Autotrader ad lists a price MINUS a mandatory $2000 "down payment" that they only disclo because of their misleading advertising and behavior. Their Autotrader ad lists a price MINUS a mandatory $2000 "down payment" that they only disclosed to us after they came back with the final paperwork (and they tried to hide it even then)! We verified the total price over the phone with Jeannie Rosario and in person with the salesman, Adam. Both people failed to mention that the price listed did not include the extra $2000. A down payment is part of the price -- not an extra fee. Ridiculously deceptive! More
Where do I begin...Let’s start with Stuart Barnett; professional, knowledgeable and such a nice guy. We put together a deal on a 2021 Tacoma TRD Off-road that blew away all the local dealerships.
