Deja vu all over again! I brought my Prius in for LOF. Two things I specified were done correctly, the oil and tire pressure. While there, I was shown my dirty engine air fil I brought my Prius in for LOF. Two things I specified were done correctly, the oil and tire pressure. While there, I was shown my dirty engine air filter and I said go ahead and replace it. Thirty to forty minutes later I was advised the filter I need was out of stock. Because of a longer than usual wait for service to be complete, the service advisor to her credit discounted my charges by a little over $9. When I got in my car to leave I noticed the service reminder sticker in the upper left corner of the windshield had not been replaced. I returned to the service advisor’s desk to complain (THE SAME THING HAPPENED THE LAST TIME I HAD MY PRIUS SERVICE HERE). A new sticker was prepared but had the wrong mileage reminder (it had my current mileage) so, another sticker was prepared. So, my questions are: Who does not maintain adequate inventory re-order points to prevent out of stock events? And, why do the oil change technicians forget to replace the service reminders. Incidentally, the last time this happened, the oil change technician also forgot to reset my maintenance alert reminder...apparently because the engine maintenance alert light was not yet on when I brought my Prius in a few miles early. I came in a few miles early this time too...was the alert reset...hmm? More
