Bad dealer bad experience but if you want more than one "im sorry"this is the place . I recently bought a certified vehicle on 2/2020 and we agree on some repairs during buying process. I brought it in for "im sorry"this is the place . I recently bought a certified vehicle on 2/2020 and we agree on some repairs during buying process. I brought it in for the agree repairs on 3/2020 spare key, detail... and others stuff and some chips on the front windshield that they agree to repair. When i went to drop off, I had to wait a while since they couldn't locate the loaner . They finally found it wrote me up for it and as the porter was backing up he hit the overhead door now they had to locate another loaner so the waiting continue I finally got out with a loaner after waiting for who knows how long. I get a call a few days later to pick up my vehicle that was ready. Service writer was happy to inform me that they replace the windshield since they found about 11 more chips. As im inspecting my vehicle i notice right away that they install an aftermarket windshield. I ask why? And why didn't they inform me about it. Advisor responded manager approve on replacement and should be ok. I told him i just bought this as a certified and now it has an aftermarket windshield is that even right? He had no answer. I took my vehicle went to Todd on sales ask why did my vehicle got an aftermarket part install? he said it works the same way it should be ok. I took the vehicle home and I had to park the vehicle cause of the pandemic and when i finally got to drive it I notice my vehicle had front wiper defroster. I try to function test it only to find out that the aftermarket windshield did not had that heater function i open the hood and found the connector for it just hanging. I took it back for this and a noise that i heard on my initial test drive with the sales guy ryan. He said they will take care of it if it was not normal. I ask to talk to the service manager and they direct me to the assistant manager Joel he wrote me up told me to wait that the windshield guy was on his way to replace it. i ask to make sure i had an OEM windshield install since that was what the vehicle had when I bought it. His response was" i dont know about that", 2 hrs later sorry the windshield guy showed up but doesn't have the windshield with him and didn't understand what we were talking about. And regarding the noise they told me "sorry but you will need new tires"I went back to Ryan let him know what was going and that I shouldn't need to buy new tires if i just bought the vehicle. And doesn't have no more than 400 miles since the day I bought it,he responded was "im sorry hope this doesn't have any effect on my performance" which make me think thats all he cares about now since he already did the sale. He told he will get with his manager David and to expect a call from him never got a call and that he will make it right. 2 days later no one call me other than to let me know to pick up my vehicle cause they wanted their loaner back. Thats all they care about just the loaner. I contact Ryan again and now he told me to expect a call from Bob Heath, never got a call from no one just a text to pick vehicle up. I decided to get my vehicle, as im checking my vehicle to make sure everything is ok. i find the rear view mirror that mounts on the windshield loose and windshield has some imperfections it looks wavy. I go back in to let them know what I found and got a look and body language as to "what now" i told him mirror is loose told me he couldn't do anything at that time. I responded i guess im taking the loaner back. Now he tells me to wait and had a tech take a look at it. He agree it was loose. Advisor ask him to please fix it and he did. Advisor was "sorry again". I didn't bother to mention the imperfections the windshield had. So I will just stay away from this dealer since they dont care about the client they will just install anything it doesn't matter if its OEM , after market or if its even the right part they proof this since the first windshield was never the right one they just wanted the vehicle out and their loaner back. And maybe expecting not to notice it. And up to this day i haven't gotten any call from any of the mention names above. I mention some names but in general is TOYOTA OF LINCOLNWOOD. More
I Came in to test drive a car and for the 5 to 10 minutes that I was out of my car someone hit my car in their parking lot. When I called to see if there was camera surveillance they said yes. When I retur that I was out of my car someone hit my car in their parking lot. When I called to see if there was camera surveillance they said yes. When I returned to the dealer the footage was conveniently not available... Not a single person offered an I’m sorry let me help NOTHING except‘I don’t think police can come on private property’! Oh wait they did offer the excuse that since Covid hit the computer systems have been off. I guess video cameras can contract the deadly virus!! Absolutely unbelievably ridiculous BS! Worse than poor rating but there is not an option to give a negative number!! More
Empty your wallet When my car failed to start while I was at Grossinger Toyota, the repair shop offered to diagnose the problem for $85.00, to be applied to the repair. When my car failed to start while I was at Grossinger Toyota, the repair shop offered to diagnose the problem for $85.00, to be applied to the repair. The estimate for a starter was $643 which I accepted even though I thought the price was high and they were taking advantage. When I went to pick up the car, I was presented with a bill for over $700. I believe the pricing is because the service writers are on commission and have a financial incentive to skew the customer. The only good part of the experience was Richard Ward, the Service Director. He was polite, professional and honorable and without delay or argument, reduced the price to the agreed on amount. More
Stay away dealer Terrible experience.. would give minus rating if possible. They will do everything to get you in their trap. Stay away. I bought a new car in March- Terrible experience.. would give minus rating if possible. They will do everything to get you in their trap. Stay away. I bought a new car in March-19. I had better quote from other dealer but they said that they'll beat it. I was ready to pay in full and while waiting for the car, they asked me to complete the paperwork. When I offered the check, they mentioned that we are giving you more discount and I have to finance the car through TFS. I was told that I wont be paying anything extra to TFS if I pay in full after getting first statement. I verified the same with General Sales Manager and Business manager. As suggested, I tried to pay in full immediately after receiving statement but TFS asked me to pay interest accrued till date. I contacted dealership in person and their GSM agreed about the miscommunication but denied to refund me the interest. I am sharing my experience here so that nobody fall prey to them in future. More
Disappointed used vehicle customer Used vehicle was sold with tires unaligned no new cabin air filter or Engine air filter. I paid for repairs out of pocket. Car wasn't even 30 days old Used vehicle was sold with tires unaligned no new cabin air filter or Engine air filter. I paid for repairs out of pocket. Car wasn't even 30 days old yet. Sideshow Bob's car dealer would probably have been better. More

Great Experience! I needed another car, I was on a budget but didn't want to settle on something just because of my budget. You know how car shopping can be. I was gree I needed another car, I was on a budget but didn't want to settle on something just because of my budget. You know how car shopping can be. I was greeted by a gentleman named Leif, he was very nice and polite. He spent all the time I needed picking out the right car for me, he was especially concerned with making sure that I loved the car then, when the time came, helped me work out a great price and a payment that fit my budget. No pressure, great service, AMAZING experience. The manager Tegan even came over to make sure Leif was being helpful which he most definitely was, and she came by later to congratulate me and make sure that I was completely satisfied with the whole experience and I absolutely was!!! THANK YOU LEIF!!!! More
Victim of fraud Unfortunately, I believe I was a victim of fraud by Toyota Grossinger. Briefly: my purse was stolen and my car keys were inside. I contacted Toyota Gr Unfortunately, I believe I was a victim of fraud by Toyota Grossinger. Briefly: my purse was stolen and my car keys were inside. I contacted Toyota Grossinger to get NEW keys and they promised to fix the car so the old keys would not work. I repeatedly told them that I wanted NEW keys, not copies, because the thief had my documents so he/she could find out my address and steal the car. Toyota Grossinger repeatedly told me that what they quoted me for would make it impossible for the old key to work. So I got what I thought were NEW keys, nothing else was changed and I was charged $900! I contacted Toyota Grossinger to complaint about the service I was quoted and paid for but they didn't provide and they promised to "make it right" (so it was not right, uh?). But then -VERY SERIOUS- the purse was found and returned to me by the Police with my old keys still inside and ...they work perfectly!!! I contacted Toyota Grossinger again to get my money back after this appalling experience but they haven't reached out to me. It has been a few months now so I am considering legal action as, in my view, this is more than mere negligence. This experience also makes me wonder if, every time I visited Toyota Grossinger in the past, I always got the serviced I paid for... BEWARE! More
Stay away if you want to same your time I see there are many fake good reviews. I had very bad experience recently and in the past. Based on my experience, stay away from these vultures. I see there are many fake good reviews. I had very bad experience recently and in the past. Based on my experience, stay away from these vultures. They never honor their advertisement price. They show you a candy to get there. They will try to sell something you get for free from TOYOTA, like Toyota 24 months / 25,000 miles free maintenance. For this they want extra $800. They still charge for Licence Plate when you Trade In your car and there are so many unknown charges. Just stay away and save your time. Hope this helps. More
My Most UncomfortablNew Car Buying Experience in Fifty Years I walked into Grossinger/Lincolnwood Toyota knowing exactly what I wanted. I had done my research on-line and I already had a sales quote from a diff I walked into Grossinger/Lincolnwood Toyota knowing exactly what I wanted. I had done my research on-line and I already had a sales quote from a different dealer. When I got there about midday, I handed the salesperson the competitors quote right away and asked if he could do better. The quote included three aftermarket items: Remote Start ($750), Body Side Moldings ($450), and Paint Protection Film($999). When I was asked how soon I wanted to buy, I responded very clearly that I was not in a rush because I would not have enough funds for a cash purchase for another week. After frequent back-and-forth trips by the salesperson to the Sales Manager's desk I was shown that he could do better than the competitors quote by $500. He said that they really wanted my trade in Highlander ASAP and could wait a week for the rest of the cash. Not only that, but they would pick up the exact vehicle I wanted that day and have it back and ready to drive home early that evening--- without the three aftermarket items. I would have to come back in the following week for those, but they would be identical to what the competitor quoted. I told him that I'd rather wait until it was all done. He assured me that this was the best way, even when I said it's getting late, how about I come back in the morning? No, that would not work because tomorrow was his day off. I felt rushed and pressured, but ended up agreeing to his terms, took the poorly prepped car home that evening, went back for two of the aftermarket items, the Remote Start and the Paint Protection film. The Remote Start is great, the Paint Protection film was a bogus spray-on-wipe-off coating. We are now more than three weeks out from sale. I have paid them in full; I still have no Body Side Moldings, or Paint Protection film that I paid for. And, that is not the worst of it. When I got the third Toyota request for a dealer review, I gave the sales person a low rating for rushing me. Shortly after that when I was at the dealership, I was berated, scorned, and blamed by the Sales/ Customer Relations Manager because I ruined the sales persons month with my low rating and he was no longer eligible for a bonus! There was nothing resembling an apology, and it was all miscommunication and my fault according to her. The Customer Relations Manager then had the audacity to bring the salesman to me and told me that I owed him an apology. Fortunately the dealership employs the services of Tim Buti as an assistant sales manager, and he was a pleasure to work with. More
