Best experience I have had at a dealership ever! Last year I was looking for my first car, I went to many dealerships and I'm glad I went to Grossinger Toyota. My salesman, Joe, found what I was look Last year I was looking for my first car, I went to many dealerships and I'm glad I went to Grossinger Toyota. My salesman, Joe, found what I was looking for an affordable, reliable used vehicle with low miles. All the other dealerships used pressure to try to sell me their cars and did not even make the effort at finding me the best financing options. Joe and the Grossinger team found me the right car and financing for me. The process was smooth and I drove away without any regrets. Without a doubt, I recommend that people see Joe to buy their next car. More

BEWARE OF BAIT AND SWITCH TACTICS! On July 28th, I contacted Grossinger Toyota North about a 2013 Toyota Rav4 stock #Y11694 advertised on their website for 14995. I confirmed the price On July 28th, I contacted Grossinger Toyota North about a 2013 Toyota Rav4 stock #Y11694 advertised on their website for 14995. I confirmed the price via text with Whitney. We test-drove the car about an hour later. I verified the price again with the salesman prior to the test-drive. He confirmed the price at : 14995. After test-driving we agreed to the price of 14995 and began an application for financing. After we finished the application he left for few moments and when he returned told us there had been a mistake and that the price was actually over $18000. The manager himself never spoke with us. This seems like a clear bait-and-switch tactic to me. More
Worst Service Experience Ever Worst service experience in years. Fuel door on my vehicle wouldn't open because the plastic clip that holds the spring broke. 1. Dealer too Worst service experience in years. Fuel door on my vehicle wouldn't open because the plastic clip that holds the spring broke. 1. Dealer took an hour to get my vehicle into service despite me having an appointment. 2. I was then told that the part was not covered by my vehicle service agreement because "the part was rusty and rust is not covered", despite the fact that I had just purchased this vehicle six weeks earlier, the vehicle was previously driven in Texas and had zero rust, and the part that broke was PLASTIC! 3. Service associate finally bothered to call and the repair was approved (no kidding!) and told me they would need to order the part and I would need to come back. This was on a Friday and i was told they would call me on Monday when the part arrived to reschedule. I left. 3 weeks later the dealer has yet to call me back to schedule the repair. 4. To avoid another multi-hour wait for a 5 minute repair, I ended up buying the part for $10 online. When I called Toyota to request reimbursement under my extended warranty I was told that Grossinger had billed for the parts AND LABOR and Toyota had already paid them! More
Just a rotten dealership. Talked to a sales lady named Amy. Would not listen to a single thing I was trying to tell her. She kept trying to sell me vehicles I had no interest Talked to a sales lady named Amy. Would not listen to a single thing I was trying to tell her. She kept trying to sell me vehicles I had no interest in and when I wanted to leave, I had a hard time getting my trade in vehicle keys back. I had to say it a few times before I received them back. Value for my trade in was also a joke as they wanted me to pay a $1.000 detail fee for my traded in vehicle. It is Toyota'a lost, as I am now switching to a Subaru. I had been with Toyota since the year 2000. More
Beware! If you do not heed reviewers' advice and decide to go to this dealership after all - good luck, and make sure to double check everything they say. Bot If you do not heed reviewers' advice and decide to go to this dealership after all - good luck, and make sure to double check everything they say. Bottom line, our experience leads to conclude that at this dealership, there is either intentional fraudulent misrepresentation or gross incompetence every step of the way. Nothing was as they said - not their written online advertisements, nor the labeling on the vehicle, and certainly not their verbal representations. Definitely a few lessons learned here, and I will make sure others are aware. Here is our story. Dad and brother went to look at a certified pre-owned Toyota on 28 Dec 15. Asked whether it's been in any accidents and the salesperson, Terry, provided an Autocheck report and said it hasn't. [Later, the customer relations manager told me for certified pre-owned vehicles they use Carfax as well. My family were not provided a Carfax report and their question about its availability was deflected]. Didn't agree on the price that day - were $2K apart - and walked away. The salesperson called every morning for the next two days to see if a deal can be made. Still interested in the car, and to cross all Ts, we pulled the Carfax report and discovered Carfax lists an accident reported 8 May 15. The air bags did not deploy, however, it was an accident nonetheless. On Saturday, 2 Jan 16, the sales rep called my dad and said words to the effect of "you wanted it for $X +tax/title, come in and take it," at which time my dad informed him we know it's been in an accident. The sales rep said he'll get back to us. No calls on Monday morning, so I called the GM and left a message to alert him about this experience. Got a call back from the customer relations manager (Tegan (sp?) and not the GM), who apologized, said this was not an intentional misrepresentation and claimed sometimes there are discrepancies between Autocheck and Carfax. She could not explain why this specific certified pre-owned vehicle, which they had since at least 7 Dec 15, did not have a Carfax report. [FYSA, now they link to the Carfax report on their webpage for this vehicle. However, I believe it's still more likely that their initial intent was to conceal the accident, otherwise, why depart from their practice of using Carfax for certified pre-owned vehicles? Now that the facts are out, they are doing the next best thing, which is to get out in front of it by offering the info to everyone.] This did not end here, though. Realizing that in spite of misrepresentation by the dealership there was no frame damage to the vehicle and we still have a sound vehicle for which the dealership accepted our price, we were willing to do business. Imagine the surprise, when the sales supervisor, Sam, gave me a shpiel about the auction price on this vehicle being $Y, retail $Z, and he doesn't have any notes of them agreeing to my dad's price. Thus, not only did they mislead us about the accident, they also went back on their word. In all fairness, my dad speaks with an accent; however, Terry doesn't; and my dad clearly understood what he said. [Notably, IF Sam's claims were true, then on the day my dad was at the dealership they had already agreed to a lower price than the supposed auction]. Finally - and we never even got to this one - the vehicle is advertised as certified pre-owned and in its description lists "certified warranty," yet it has an "as is" sticker on the window. Good luck, and hope this helps. More
