I visited Toyota Lincolnwood today with the intention of purchasing a Camry. While my salesperson, Adrian, was professional and helpful, the experience with the finance department and managers was abysmal. purchasing a Camry. While my salesperson, Adrian, was professional and helpful, the experience with the finance department and managers was abysmal. After spending an hour selecting and viewing cars from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, we began paperwork around 11:00 AM. However, the loan application process, handled by one person in the finance department, took an additional 2-3 hours to complete. Once approval came through, I signed papers with Adrian Higueros, who did a great job. However, the wait continued for the finance department, which was operating at an unacceptably slow pace. By 3:00 PM, despite being assured by the manager that I was next in line, two more clients were attended to before me. This lack of transparency and respect for my time was frustrating. After nearly six hours at the dealership, I cancelled the deal and left. The entire experience, from the prolonged wait times to the misinformation, was utterly unacceptable. I urge Toyota Lincolnwood to address these issues promptly to prevent others from enduring similar frustrations. This level of service does not reflect well on the dealership. I guess this is the only way I can get into contact with sales consultant Larry Williams. I have called several times with no answer. I was not calling to complain or fuss. I had questions and a couple conc sales consultant Larry Williams. I have called several times with no answer. I was not calling to complain or fuss. I had questions and a couple concerns about the car that I made a conscious effort to purchase from a fellow hard working brother. No response, no reply after an easy going purchase process. This is a very genuine review. What if I was calling to send another customer to this gentleman? Have you ever been ghosted by your car salesman? I bet we could start a support group. All jokes aside this is ridiculous. They sold me a car without an interior car door handle. More
The manager Gabriel stated they will not sell at the dealer advertised price that they listed on the Toyota website. Even though this is the price that they (the dealership) put on there - not Toyota. H dealer advertised price that they listed on the Toyota website. Even though this is the price that they (the dealership) put on there - not Toyota. He said they would only sell it at MSRP, which was $1400 more. In the conversation I also told him that I had been calling for weeks to get a manager to call me back so I could get accurate pricing on the lease, and no manager called me until today, after I was informed they misquoted me before and my lease would be $100 more per month than they thought. I asked what options they have on their end. He offered no resolution at all- just stated the MSRP. So I asked did you recalculate it with the price the dealership listed on Toyotas website? And thats when he said they wouldn’t honor that price. I said, this is not a third-party website , its the Toyota website and the dealership listed their price on there, not Toyota. He said no, they wouldn’t sell at that price. So we argued on the phone about it and I informed him I would let Toyota know. He said “well then ill just put the car back up for sale and sell it to someone else” and “maybe this isnt the dealership for you if you had this many problems.” No, maybe they need to get their act together so people dont have this many problems in the first place. Was interested in a Lexus GS350, called early Saturday afternoon and was connected with a remote contact agent (Freddie), but I needed to talk to someone on the ground that could actually see the car. He afternoon and was connected with a remote contact agent (Freddie), but I needed to talk to someone on the ground that could actually see the car. He took down my questions for a sales person to follow-up with me. Then about 6PM Chicago time, I received a text from Jacob saying he was sending the requested pictures. Once I looked through the pictures, I texted him right back with a couple of questions, but no response. Morning morning - no response, Monday afternoon - no response. I texted him in the late afternoon asking if there were any updates and......no response. Tuesday, I get a text from Freddie, the car has been sold. I asked to speak to the General Manager and left a message - NO RESPONSE. Unless you are physically at the dealership, they clearly don't give a crap about a customer. I would have purchased the car!!! More
This is NOT the same dealership from which I purchased my previous new Toyotas. A man with a coffee cup in his hand came up to me and my daughter, started talking, "nice car", etc. Made us extremely uncomf previous new Toyotas. A man with a coffee cup in his hand came up to me and my daughter, started talking, "nice car", etc. Made us extremely uncomfortable not having a clue who he is. Somehow we took the leap and figured out that he was a "salesman". He knew nothing, said "You can buy this or not". Wouldn't even discuss a test drive. The day after attending the auto show and mistakenly gave them my contact information, I was phone and e-mail bombed by 8:30AM the next morning. I went in to buy a Corolla Cross (cash) but ended up leaving because it was such a negative experience. I then went to Toyota in Kenosha and bought my car. I could never have imagined that a change in ownership of dealerships could destroy a reputation so quickly. It's worth the time to find a "not-Ziegler" dealership if you don't want to be abused by clueless salesmen who don't even have the decency to introduce themselves before talking to a female who has cash-in-hand ready to buy a new car. Their service prices have exploded to worse than I could ever imagine a stealership to charge. Good luck finding the car you want, and not the car with all of the extras that they want to sell to you. More
Only reason not a 1 star is due to this dealer selling at MSRP and under but the sheer lack of communication and follow up after inquiring and then having to repeatedly asking for updates and no response giv MSRP and under but the sheer lack of communication and follow up after inquiring and then having to repeatedly asking for updates and no response given is unprofessional. Aggravating ordeal and would not recommend based on no follow through More
A salesperson named Anthony was very unprofessional and frankly rude during my call to this dealership. He lectured me for a while and then hung up. I couldn't put a word in. I reported to one of the mana frankly rude during my call to this dealership. He lectured me for a while and then hung up. I couldn't put a word in. I reported to one of the managers named Subul. But didn't get much feedback. I will take my business elsewhere. I would stay away from these folks at all costs. More
I recently inquired about the 2023 Toyota Sequoia capstone and scheduled a test drive with the dealership. Despite receiving a call two hours before my arrival confirming the appointment, upon reachi capstone and scheduled a test drive with the dealership. Despite receiving a call two hours before my arrival confirming the appointment, upon reaching the destination after a 3 1/2 hour drive, I was informed that the car had been sold. A simple courtesy call to notify me of the sale would have prevented a six-hour round trip. I recommend obtaining a confirmation email from them before embarking on a long journey to ensure the vehicle's availability. More
Alexis Chavez did a great job selling us our new RAV4 back in June. Although it was pretty easy, I knew exactly what I wanted. But, I also asked him that day to order some floormats for my Tacoma picku back in June. Although it was pretty easy, I knew exactly what I wanted. But, I also asked him that day to order some floormats for my Tacoma pickup. Four months later, still nothing and virtually no communcation whatsoever. VERY poor. Would certainly not do business w/ them again. Ever. I guess the lesson is, don't believe a salesperson. They will tell you whatever you want to hear in order for them to get the sale. More
Purchased a brand new Rav4 Hybrid Limited from here. Recently I was just hit by an Uber driver and insurance says its a total loss. The payout quote they offered me didn't make sense. I'll elaborate Recently I was just hit by an Uber driver and insurance says its a total loss. The payout quote they offered me didn't make sense. I'll elaborate. I'd like to say that Mark is a EXCELLENT salesmen, and goes above and beyond! He's been more than helpful and really shows he cares. Mark is a great asset to Lincolnwood Toyota and that's where all the good I have to say stops. The finance manager was not so helpful, I'd goes as far to say he was a manipulative scammer. After speaking to the insurance agent about my payout and how much I owed on the vehicle, I now know that the finance manager tricked me into paying 75k for a rav4! I negotiated the deal on 5/13/23, we shook hands, and was told the vehicle should be later that week. All I had to do was come in for delivery and sign the paper work. Was told the vehicle arrived 5/15/23 and was being prepared for delivery, I could come pick it up in an hour. Told them ok perfect, I'll come pick it up on my way to work. So, I dropped my rental off and my coworker gave me a ride to the dealership. The finance manger knew I had to go to work, the same one who took my down payment and shook hands on the deal two days prior. He then tricked me with "Hey listen I have great news, asked Toyota to push you into the better interest rate bracket". Which I was pleased to hear, but something felt weird. He then flung out off slew of documents and aggressive fast talking for me to sign and finished the deal. I left with my new car. I would not have been happy at the time had I known he stole my 10k down payment and tacked on an extra 30k for a TOYOTA RAV4. I never would have known had it not been for the total loss that just took place five months after purchase. Five payments off $900 coming out to 4.5k + a 10k deposit and I still owe 50.1k on the vehicle. I don't know the finance managers name, otherwise I would gladly put it out there... seeing as he manipulated 15k out of my pockets. Extremely shady business tactics, I'd go as far as to call it felonies. Hopefully this review finds the owner and that finance manager is held accountable. I'd wager I'm not the only one he's tricked out of their hard earned money. TLDR: Shook hands on the deal 5/13/23 and gave them my down payment. Came to take delivery 5/15/23 on my way to work. Finance manager tells me he asked Toyota to lower my rate and used that as a way into tacking on an extra 30k for the car, knowing I was in a time crunch. Funny enough I can't find his name in any of my paperwork. More
