Price gouging experience. Miguel tried to to sell a "pre-owned" 2022 Rav4 Prime with under 50 miles on it for $72k. The MSRP for a NEW one is 43k. They really think I'm going Miguel tried to to sell a "pre-owned" 2022 Rav4 Prime with under 50 miles on it for $72k. The MSRP for a NEW one is 43k. They really think I'm going to pay $30k over MSRP for a used Rav4? That is close to a 70% mark up! I countered to see how low they would go down but he did not budge from $72k. I obviously did not pay a luxury price for a toyota rav4 but Miguel sounded confident he can see it at that price. Only a fool would buy it and that fool was not me. Or it could be someone in a very desperate situation that Miguel could take advantage of. Of note, why is it pre-owned? That's a red flag for me. Did one of their guys just bought it off to get the $7500 federal rebate? Then sell it back to the dealership so dealership can sell it at a huge mark up? Such a horrible experience that I will never set foot into this dealership ever again. More
I would not recommend anyone getting their car serviced at this dealership. I took my vehicle in for an oil change. They tell me about maintenance I need done to my car which had just been done previously at this dealership. I took my vehicle in for an oil change. They tell me about maintenance I need done to my car which had just been done previously at my regular Toyota dealership. I get the 60,000 mile service which they charged me $574. The attendant then tries to sale me more services. I even got a phone call trying to convince me with even more services,I decline. I took my vehicle in with no issues, now my vehicle drives rough, the rear end jerks hard and fells like it’s going to flip over. The summary of my inspection was false, I’m taking my vehicle and previous summaries of inspection back to my regular dealership along with the summary I received from Lincolnwood Toyota, to see who is lying but my heart is with Lincolnwood. I have always felt safe in my vehicle until Lincolnwood Toyota serviced it. More
Beware. The service people at this place will do what they call work without asking you, then bill you for exorbitant sums. They do not explain their policie The service people at this place will do what they call work without asking you, then bill you for exorbitant sums. They do not explain their policies and procedures. We were billed over $500 for an “inspection” we never agreed to, and didn’t even know about until they hit us with a potential bill for over $2000. Though we declined some of those “services,” we still had to pay for the privilege of having them figure out in how many ways they could bill us. We will never patronize this place again, and will actively warn people to avoid doing business there. More
Called about availability and price on a couple cars I might be interested in - Rav4 Hybrid and Rav4 Prime. They said both were on the lot and come by to test drive both. They're not particularly a close might be interested in - Rav4 Hybrid and Rav4 Prime. They said both were on the lot and come by to test drive both. They're not particularly a close drive but I went down ready to buy one. Arrived same day and all of sudden all the info they provided over the phone was a lie. The Prime was on the lot but get this, they DO NOT allow test drives on the Prime "under no circumstances for anyone" (their exact words). Next lie, the specific hybrid I called about was due in a week or two. Then, I tried to pry on what kind of markups on the vehicles. They marked the Rav4 Prime $20K because it's so rare!!! [I can't believe corporate Toyota would allow this.] The Rav4 hybrid I was interested in was marked up $7000 but they also required me to get crap that I didn't want or need (extended warranty, paint protection) on top of it. Walked out of their without hesitation and will never return. What cheats. More
