Very shady (I feel). Bought a "new" Toyota 4Runner; found out a day later the car had been leased for 4-5 months - and was not disclosed. They were unapologetic and still tried to later argue the car was "new," given it never was titled to anyone else (that makes no sense - as the lessor retains the title with any lease). The car should have clearly been on the "pre-owned" lot, not the new car lot. Very disingenuous and bad faith practice, in my opinion. More
Don't TRUST YOUR REPAIRS ARE DONE CORRECTLY I have been going to Toyota of Hollywood now for 8 years now. The last 2 years I have horrible service experience with their service department. Drew I have been going to Toyota of Hollywood now for 8 years now. The last 2 years I have horrible service experience with their service department. Drew has been my go to guy for my service as well. I had a issue with my wiper fluid not working and I brought it in to get repaired. I also had a nail in my tire on the passengers side and told him about it. When I came to collect my car after about 3 hours Drew said that my wiper fluid was clogged and they couldn't find the nail in my tire. So, I took it home and saw the nail when I got out and noticed they were suppose to rotate my tires. The Caps were off of them as well. I came out to go to work the next day and that same tire was flat. They didn't even look at my tires. Plus, my wiper fluid was just spitting out fluid. After a day or 2 it stopped working all together. I had my car in for the same issue 4 times. I even spoke to the Head Manager of Service. I believe his name is Brian. I let him know of my experience and I wanted him to know to get it right. I had my car in for the same thing 4 times. My last time I took it in I asked Drew to change the oil since this would be my last free oil change. It has been about a month and being that I am working from Home I don't drive my car much at all. I noticed the other day that my spot was all black. I thought maybe it was puddles of rain from the storms. I moved my car back and saw that it was the oil. I checked my oil and NO FLUID IS ON THE DIPSTICK!!!! xxx!!! I have had it with Toyota of Hollywood. I have given them several chances to get it right. I am so disgusted with this blatant disregard for service. I will never trust them again. PLEASE WATCH OUT FOR YOU CAR OR TRUCK. michele P. More
Excelent Experience. Recommended 100% Our experience has been unbeatable. Yesterday my husband and I, after searching through dozens of dealers, were lucky enough to go to the Toyota deale Our experience has been unbeatable. Yesterday my husband and I, after searching through dozens of dealers, were lucky enough to go to the Toyota dealership in Hollywood, Fl 1841 N ST 7. We are so satisfied with the deal that we were both surprised and highly impressed. From the first phone call for a first survey, the attitude was positive and collaborative, very sensitive to us as potential clients, understanding that the budget to buy a car is sometimes limited, but they will make a huge effort to get closer to our possibilities. Mr. Camilo Alfonso attended us by phone very collaborative, it is important to explain that we know how to differentiate between the sales or marketing skills that every seller applies and the true intention to sell, helping, understanding, and this has been the case. During our visit, we were attended by Mr. Edwin Rosado, a wonderful guy, so fantastic, with an incredible desire to collaborate, a positive person who does not need to talk too much, he is practical, friendly, fast, super reliable and wonderful. We were also attended by a cool financier, a boy named José Hernández that anyone would like to have as a friend and finally Mr. Alejandro received us for the insurance process, who is at the same level as his colleagues. I end by saying that it is an A + team. For our next vehicle we hope, God willing, to revisit a familiar place that does everything for your needs. We are just happy. God bless you!! Had my Highlander detailed for $140, waisted money, would have been better doing it at a corner car wash, side view mirror with water stains and still had spider webs, noticed this once I got home. Kenny Metellus made purchasing a car easier than ever. He took care of most of the work from the comforts of my home. 13th June 2020 via text, we Had worked out a price with the internet manager Carlos Mejia on a Toyota Supra premium. He asked us to come into the showroom. I called him to confirm price before we left for the internet manager Carlos Mejia on a Toyota Supra premium. He asked us to come into the showroom. I called him to confirm price before we left for the showroom and he said he was busy and would call me back. Less than 2 hrs after I spoke to him, we went to the dealership and were told that the car was not available. Classic bait and switch tactics. Dumbasses. We walked out immediately More
Dishonest sevise department. I finally bought my Tundra but definitely not from Toyota of Hollywood; I decided to purchase at a different dealership. Since Toyota of Hollywood is I finally bought my Tundra but definitely not from Toyota of Hollywood; I decided to purchase at a different dealership. Since Toyota of Hollywood is near my home, I tried one more time to give them my business by taking my new Tundra to get serviced. I chose to balance my wheels with them, which turned out in the end to be a terrible choice. When they balanced my wheels, they returned my truck without a road test having been conducted. Once I started driving my truck, my steering wheel began to shake very badly. I returned the next day with my truck to have them fix the problem. After waiting 2 hours, I was told that they would not be able to complete the repairs since they did not have a particular machine to balance my wheels. Regardless, they still managed to charge me $115.00. I took my truck to a shop recommended by Mr. Metts, the service manager of Toyota of Hollywood. There, the mechanic told me right away that the job was done extremely poorly and only took him about 20 minutes to properly balance my tires. When I went back to the dealer, I ask Mr. Metts to refund me back my money since they never did the job correctly. He informed me that he would be calling me in a couple of days, which he never did. Since I never heard back from Mr. Metts, I decided to go back to the dealership again to ask for my refund, at which time he told me the claim was denied. I then spoke to Mr. John Diaz, parts director, to see what he could do about my dissatisfaction with this extremely terrible job done. He refused to speak to me, even after I tried showing him pictures of how they ruined my brand new wheels, which he refused to look at as well. He was very arrogant and unprofessional. He offered me a $25.00 refund, which is nearly what I paid for service on one wheel at the other shop, where the cost to balance my wheels properly was $84.00. I refused the refund he offered me. I will speak about this terrible experience as much as I can. I will furnish a copy of this complaint to BBB, Toyota of North America, Google, Yelp, and any other site where I can expose their corrupt practice. More
Deceptive and dishonest I am not writing this review because I couldn't get the price I wanted, but because the dealer eventually became deceptive and dishonest to get me to I am not writing this review because I couldn't get the price I wanted, but because the dealer eventually became deceptive and dishonest to get me to come back after I walked away. The dealership failed to honor the promised deal and in doing so wasted my time. For a dealer of this stature (probably one of a kind), and the second top seller in the nation they deploy some unethical sales tactics when they become desperate. My first encounter with Camilo was on a Saturday and it was great, he didn't promise me anything he couldn't deliver. I decided to grab my wife so she can pick out a car but when I came back Camilo was busy, so I was now being helped by Tamy, who was also knowledgeable and helpful. Everything was good, I thought at this time if there was anywhere I would get a good deal, it would be this place. I was wrong. Prior to coming in I had my credit run by them and I knew what the approval was. While at the store they asked me for my ID to verify my identity, I gave it to them an explicitly said "Do not run my credit, you already ran it and I already obtained credit thru my credit union" they said they would not. Moments later while eating at the onsite Subway our phones go off and notify us of another credit pull (the second one by them in a week) totally disregarding my requests. I let them know about the notification I received, they denied any wrongdoing and said even if they did it will not affect my score. Anyways, to cut to the chase we spent the entire day there and were unable to come to a deal. Their first offer was not at all aggressive and we went back in fourth but agreed the deal I wanted was unattainable, shook hands and left. The following Sunday morning I received an email from Javar Crocket asking if there was anything to do to earn the business, I said nothing has changed but if they could do the deal I offered I would be interested. Almost immediately I received a phone call saying, "they had a change of heart" and would be willing to work the deal If I came down. I confirmed the deal over the phone, he said he would call me back in an hour after he got an approval. I called him back a few hours later, he said the deal was countered and they would do 26k out the door with their financing at a 3.49% rate to make up the difference or my 25K OTD with my own financing, I agreed. I got my wife from doing what she was doing, made arrangements for the kid, got my tag and bank draft and went down there only to find out they would not honor it. Javar was no where to be found. Eventually the sales manager Jose M. came into the picture where he tried to switch vehicles on me, tried to add term, tried to sell me a payment rather than a price, apologized for the guy that made the offer and refused to introduce me to him. He tried to add value by showing us the used market and comparing prices, but also would not honor the price. He did everything but honor the deal. A dealer has a right to hold back on a sale and a seller has a right to walk away but employing these tactics to make a deal is completely unethical. Toyota of Hollywood uses their aesthetic appearance and modern touch to distract you from the fact that they are no better than some of the worst in the business. Toyota is a good product, the cars sell themselves they don't need to lie to consumers. The fact is if Toyota of Hollywood would have just left it as a "dead deal" rather than lie to get me back in the door, they wouldn't be getting a bad review. I wouldn't have held it against them. Please take the time to read the reviews as Yelp is one of the best sources for legitimate experiences. More

Your Stereotypical Sleazy Car Dealer Let me start by saying I've bought a lot of cars, I like to trade my cars often and I'm usually the one who helps all my family buy a car so I have de Let me start by saying I've bought a lot of cars, I like to trade my cars often and I'm usually the one who helps all my family buy a car so I have dealt with a LOT of dealers. Toyota of Hollywood is by FAR the worst! I emailed various dealers looking for out the door pricing on a new 2020 Corolla LE for my mother. A so called Bruno Ruiz from Toyota Hollywood responded with the best price, I tried to respond to Bruno to ask about color availability, no response, I called Bruno before going to the dealer, no answer. Since the dealer was on our way home we decided to just stop by. Very big fancy dealership, even had live music. Showroom filled with the new supras (which by the way they mark up by $14,500 on top of the MSRP, dealer we ended up buying from did not mark the up at all so consider that if you are looking at a supra). Go to the front desk ask for Bruno, sure no problem he will be out shortly. Bruno never showed instead some sales lady named Karolin Ramons comes out. Very friendly chatting up my mom. We show her the emails from Bruno with the price he gave us, she says no problem if Bruno gave you that price that will be the price. She then proceeds to waste a bunch of our time walking through the lot looking for the color my mom wanted. Last I checked fancy dealers also have fancy computers than can tell you if the car is in stock instantly. However this is all part of their sleazy old school sales tactics to wear you out. Just like how they took her license to enter her info but did not give it back so she could not leave. Anyways like an hour later after walking around, driving to different lots etc we get back and she brings us some ridiculous price no where near what "Bruno" quoted. We tell her no. Comes back with the manager Jose Morales, imagine the most stereotypical, sleazy, used car salesman, that was Jose Morales. Claiming Bruno said this or that or that the car Bruno mentioned didn't exist blah blah blah. Oh and the mythical Bruno who started all this was nowhere to be found. How convenient... Personally I was ready to walk out the moment she brought out the first price that wasn't exactly what "Bruno" quoted. After that I already knew the type of dealer they were. However dirtbag Jose Morales kept yapping his mouth at my mom telling her to look at the MSRP and all the dealer none sense in the book. Oh it's only $700, yeah, it's ONLY $700 maybe the multimillion dollar dealer with 20 new supras in the showroom and a live band should eat the $700 and not the old lady on social security. That right there should tell you what kind of low lifes you have here. I just walked out told my mom to go and went to the car (I know she was not doing anything without me). Jose Morales literally follows her all the way to the freaking car, I was going to open the trunk to see if he wanted to come along. Unbelievable. Drove over to Earl Stewart Toyota and had the complete opposite experience. From start to finish they were professionals, gave us the exact price they quoted on the exact car we wanted and even got a better deal on the financing that we were expecting. To top it off saved like $700 over Toyota Hollywood (and we didn't even get to financing with Mr Morales, can only image THAT spectacle). That being said I would even pay MORE for a car before I would give Toyota Hollywood a penny!!! Whatever you do, do not buy a car here unless A.) You want to over pay or B.) You enjoy wasting the whole day dealing with xxxxxxxx. If you had a "great" experience here, just based on their sales tactics, I can guarantee you you over paid one way or another. More
