Quality car on a senior citizen's income My 2005 Buick Century with 117,000 miles needed to be replaced so I started the process of doing research on a new Toyota Camry. I have been buying my My 2005 Buick Century with 117,000 miles needed to be replaced so I started the process of doing research on a new Toyota Camry. I have been buying my own car since the age of 16 so this was not something that was new to me. I have always owned General Motors cars but have always wanted to buy a foreign made car. In 2005 I was going to buy a Toyota Camry but when I heard that GM was going to lay off 35,000 American workers I decided to just go with the Buick Century to try to keep some of these Americans working. But I knew that at some point in time I would end up buying a Toyota Camry. In August of 2017 after doing as much research as possible I started stopping in at Toyota dealerships near my home. The staff at these dealership would give me their figures on the cost of the car and I would explain to them how much I could afford to spend. Price has never been an issue when I purchased cars in the past because I was a Register Nurse who was making a good salary so I could afford higher prices. My thought was and always has been that you buy what you can afford but also that the people that make these cars and sell them can benefit from my purchase. But now that I am on Social Security and a small pension I had to keep looking for a good car because I couldn't afford a new Toyota Camry. This was especially because my co-payment on my blood thinner was $550 every 3 months. In the end I went back to Toyota of Greensburg and met a young man named Lance Lesko. He greeted me with a big smile and strong handshake. He was very receptive to the information that I was conveying to him on what I would like to purchase and what I could afford. Needless to say we went back and forth on the price of the car. I thanked him for his time and went to Massie Toyota to see what kind of deal they could offer me. After much back and forth with Lance Lesko and another salesman at Massie Toyota I decided to go with Toyota of Greeensburg. Even though Massie Toyota is only 5 miles from my home and Toyota of Greensburg is almost 15 miles from my home I was able to the get the better deal from Lance Lesko. This young man was very comfortable dealing with a 69 year old woman. He was very professional, respectful, knowledgeable of his profession, dependable and most importantly pleasant. Lance Lesko was able to sell this Camry to me without resorting to strong arm tactics. Which by way would have sent me right back to Massie Toyota. Car dealerships would benefit a lot from salesmen like Mr. Lesko because consumers today are much more informed about their car purchases and are willing to travel a little further from their home if they can get a better deal in a more pleasant environment. As I told Lance I will be having all my servicing of the vehicle done at Toyota of Greensburg. It is important to develop a long lasting relationship with the dealership that you purchased a vehicle from. This way the next time you want to purchase a new vehicle you can just reflect on the sale and service that you received from this dealership. In addition to other factors about Toyota of Greensburg I would like to commend the facility for how clean and neat the place is. Also any staff that I came in contact with were wonderful. Especially Dylan Backus and Rebecca who were so kind to go over all the special features of my new Camry especially the Entune system. Even though they were newly hired they added to this wonderful experience of purchasing my new Camry. Hope this feedback is helpful to not only Toyota of Greensburg but also the Toyota Corporation. He spoke to me with respect and clarity even though i was a younger male. He didnt try and take advantage of my lack of experience buying cars, in fact he used his knowledge and experience to help me the best that he could. If your looking for great customer service I recommend going to Toyota and speaking with Joe!! More
